Chapter 918 | Belong To You .69%
That night, Neera and Adriana discussed numerous details. However, the more they talked, the more confused they became.
In the end, they didnât manage to come up with a concrete plan.
The main issue was the myriad of details. There were just too many. It was impossible to make a decision so quickly.
âAll right, letâs call it a night for our discussion. We still have time, so letâs take it slow.â Chad glanced at the time and noticed it was getting late.
Worried that Adriana might be tired, he decided to interrupt the ongoing discussion between the aunt and niece.
Neera agreed and closed her notebook before saying goodnight.
After her bath, she stepped out of the bathroom and immediately noticed Jean sitting by her bed.
She paused in the middle of brushing her hair as her eyes widened in surprise. Then, she laughed.
âWhat brings you here? Arenât you going to rest?â
Upon seeing the joy radiating from her eyes and brows, Jean lifted his eyebrow. As if he was infected by her happiness, he smiled. âYouâre humming while taking a bath. Are you that happy?â
âYou heard itâ¦â Neera didnât feel embarrassed at all..
She was bathing and humming a tune because she was in a good mood. Unexpectedly, that man caught her in the act.
Quickly, she walked over and sat down beside him. âMy auntâs wedding is about to be scheduled. Itâs such a joyous occasion. How can I not be happy?â
Lifting his eyebrow, Jean naturally took the towel from her hand and helped her dry her hair.
âYouâre so focused on your auntâs wedding. Have you given any thought to us?â After holding that question in all night, he couldnât bear it any longer and asked in a gentle voice. âYouâve already agreed to the proposal, so what about the wedding?â
A hint of embarrassment surfaced in Neeraâs bright and clear eyes. âWell, I really havenât thought about that.â
âYou havenât?â Jeanâs eyes narrowed slightly, showing a hint of dissatisfaction.
He was thinking about it day and night, yet she didnât, which annoyed him.
Neera stuck out her tongue and quickly started to stroke his hair. âWhatâs your opinion? Iâd like to hear about it first.â
Jean said lightly, âOf course, the faster the better.â
After he finished speaking, he paused for a moment, then added considerately, âOf course, Iâm not forcing you. The most important thing is your plan.â
A warmth spread through Neeraâs heart, causing her to pause slightly in contemplation.

A warmth spread through Neeraâs heart, causing her to pause slightly in contemplation.
âWell, to be honest, I donât really have a clear idea myself. At the very least, shouldnât we wait until Aunt Adrianaâs and Uncle Chadâs wedding is over before we start considering it? After all, this is our wedding, a once-in-a-lifetime event. We canât just rush through it. We need to wait until this major affair is resolved, then, we can properly plan our wedding.â
What she said made sense, leaving Jean unable to refute.
However, he still felt somewhat frustrated.
âMy auntâs wedding must be grand, so the preparation process will certainly take a lot of time. Looking ahead, from planning to reception, it may take at least a year. By then, if we consider our own wedding and include the preparation time, itâll require another year. All in all, we may have to wait at least two more years.â Neera did the math.
Indeed, it would take about that long.
Seeing the manâs stern, displeased countenance, she wanted to laugh, yet couldnât help but coax him.
âDonât be upset. Even though we canât hold our wedding for now, we are already together. Isnât that great? With or without this wedding, I am yours. Even if itâs delayed by two years, this fact will never change.â Although she spoke softly, melting the manâs heart, the gloom within him did not dissipate.
After leaving Neeraâs room, he returned to his room and called for lan to come in. âFind someone reliable to help her aunt with the wedding preparations. Ideally, expedite the process so everything can be ready as soon as possible.â
Seeing himself being valued and relied upon once again, lan was so moved that he was on the verge of tears. âMr. Beauvort, rest assured, I will not let you down. I will certainly arrange the wedding as quickly and efficiently as possible!â
Jean was barely satisfied. He narrowed his eyes, threatening in a deep and mysterious tone. âThe branch office in Alendor is short-staffed. If you canât handle this task, then you may as well spend the rest of your life in that remote place. Donât bother coming back.â
lan trembled, feeling so heartbroken that he wanted to cry. I really donât want to stay in Alendorâ¦
