( Week 17 - 20 )

Lumi Garmadon crawled around the monastery–keeping both her mom and dad at their toes as they tried to prevent her from hitting various objects–in a pair of green pajamas and a smile on her face.

Her hair was starting to grow thicker, sometimes fading from white blonde to a golden blonde color.

"Lumi, please don't touch that." Harumi pleaded, moving her daughter away from a socket in the wall.

"Oh no you don't." Lloyd's voice echoed his tiredness as he picked her up again when she nearly hit the table face first.

Zane once tried to use his ice to make slip and slide for Lumi and the boys to play in when Lloyd had to work late and Harumi had to go to Skylor's restaurant. Long story short, she now has a bruise on her arm that would take some time to heal.

Lloyd was furious when he found out and now the boys were banned from babysitting alone. Harumi, on the other hand, enjoyed watching him give them a lecture.

Lumi cooed and continued crawling away from them. Master Wu chuckled from the end of the hallway where she was crawling too and bent down, opening his arms to beckon her towards him.

"Ooh!" Lumi babled, smiling as she crawled towards him.

As Master Wu scooped her up in his arms, Lloyd and Harumi walked over. Completely exhausted. "You two need some rest. I will watch over your child."

"Oh, Master Wu there's really no need for that." Lloyd shook his head and waved his arms in the air.

"Really, Master. We got this." Harumi added with a yawn.

Master Wu tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at them. "Nonsense. I am perfectly capable of taking care of my grand niece."

The opportunity for rest was too hard to pass up when they both wanted it. But the mention of the word 'grand niece' got them thinking about her real grandfather. Neither of them had thought about Garmadon the second Lumi was born until now.

Given that he was nowhere to be found, they hoped he would one day stop over to meet her.

"Are you sure?" Lloyd asked, pulling his gaze away from Harumi. He couldn't help but feel bad for leaving his duties to his uncle–something he had never attempted in his life–but sleep was also something he wanted.

"Yes, Lloyd!" He laughed at his nephew's insistence, that laugh turned into a glare when Lumi pulled at his beard. "Go! Get some rest!"

He practically forced the pair towards their room and turned to the baby in his arms.

"Now, it is time to unlock your  talents, little Lumi." He chuckled and tickled her chin.

"Ah!" Lumi babbled her response before pulling at his beard once more.

Lloyd and Harumi laid down on their bed, wearing matching pajamas that Lloyd got from one of his shoots. It had been a few weeks since she finally agreed to be his girlfriend–after a long conversation that went back and forth with the question of "are sure?" from Harumi–a decision they both knew would also help Lumi.

"So, Greenie." Harumi started, turning her head in his arm to face him. "What do you wanna do?"

Lloyd faced her too. "I don't know, Rumi." He smiled and used his other hand to move a loose strand of hair away from her face. "What do you wanna do?"

Harumi snuggled into his chest, burying her face to take in his scent. There were times she questioned why her old self wanted to kill him, or have him die at the hands of his father. She was thankful to have been over that and was now able to enjoy living a peaceful life with him.

"Lumi, no! That is an incense candle!" Master Wu's yelling could be heard throughout the monastery.

Mostly peaceful. But she was thankful for everything she had.

"This." She placed a hand on his cheek and pulled him down to press a kiss on his lips. Lloyd immediately kissed back, his hand making its way to her waist.

Harumi giggled and wrapped her arm around his neck, pushing him closer to her. They pulled away a few minutes later, both catching their breath. Harumi didn't expect Lloyd to lay his head on her stomach, pressing his ear against it and rubbing his hand through the fabric of her pajamas.

"What are you doing, Lloyd?" Harumi asked, combing his hair with her fingers. "There isn't a baby in there any more."

Lloyd sighed and Harumi feared she may have touched a sensitive topic. "Yeah, I know."

"Is there a problem?"

"It's just, I missed out on this part." He continued rubbing her stomach. "Missed out on listening to her heartbeat for the first time, her first kick in your tummy, and just feeling her move around."

Harumi nodded, although the night Lumi decided to learn how to kick was one that brought a lot of pain to her back.

"I'm still mad at you for not telling me." Lloyd pouted.

"What do you want me to do?" She asked, absent-mindedly. Still playing with his hair, grabbing a handful and then letting it drop back onto his head. "Get pregnant again so you can experience it?"

Lloyd looked up at her, his eyes twinkling.

Harumi's eyes widened and she immediately pushed him off her. "Absolutely not, Lloyd Garmadon!"

"Why not?" He got up to lay on his stomach, his chin resting in his hands. "Wouldn't you want a little brother or sister for Lumi?"

"I would but not now, Lloyd!"

"Why? What's wrong with it?"

"We already have one."

Lloyd laughed and crawled up to her, towering over her frame as he did so. He leaned down to place a peck on her lips. And another. And another.

"What are you trying to do?" Harumi giggled from beneath him but wrapped her arm around his neck and pulled him down, the action made him fall on top of her, his body pressing against his. "Make me fall in love with you more?"

Lloyd kept a few inches of space between them, keeping his hands on either side of her head. "Why? Is it working?"

"Maybe." Harumi giggled. "Maybe not."

Lloyd leaned in and placed a peck on her cheek before laying down beside her. Eventually, they both fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms while Lumi played 'try not to break anything' with Master Wu from outside their bedroom.

With Lumi Garmadon crawling around the monastery, certain precautionary measures had to be applied. The ninja had made sure to cover every inch of dangerous things that could possibly hurt her.

There were plugs in every socket, sharp edges had been duct taped, and a lock installed in the toilet–which led to a bathroom situation with Jay at 2 in the morning–so Lumi didn't have to be chased around by her parents every time she crawled.

"What is that?" Harumi asked, holding Lumi in her arms as she walked into the living room. Cole, Nya, and Kai held three different blaster-looking weapons in each of their hands.

Nya acknowledged their presence and immediately went over to say hello to Lumi who cooed when she saw her aunt.

"Pixal invented blasters but there was a problem with the wiring." Kai explained before dipping the end in a small bowl of liquid. "So they do this."

Pressing the trigger, a series of soap bubbles blasted out of the gun–flying towards Lumi–and floated around in the air for a good few seconds.

The baby giggled, reaching her hands out to touch them and laughing when she did. Her smile grew wider the more bubbles she was able to pop. The ninja noticed this and immediately dipped their new bubble guns into the solution to make it rain for their little niece.

"I think Lumi approves." Harumi giggled, fixing her hold on the baby to make her comfortable.

"Ah!" Lumi babbled, reaching for the new soap bubbles.

"Lloyd would freak out once he sees us using weapons in front of Lumi." Cole nudged Nya's shoulder as he spoke. The girl laughed and nodded in agreement, knowing the Green Ninja, the reaction was guaranteed.

Harumi listened, fixing different pillows on the floor to help Lumi sit down and play. "Perhaps it's best we don't show him." She suggested and placed the baby down.

"Bah!" Lumi giggled, her smile wider than ever.

"Yes, Lu." Harumi developed a habit of answering her daughter despite not being able to understand her words. She thought it would be helpful when she starts learning how to talk. "They're called bubbles."

"Bah!"

When Lloyd got home that afternoon, he was greeted by a soap covered Lumi Garmadon. Who was threatening to place her hands in her mouth every second–where she was stopped by everyone who saw–and cover Lloyd's ninja suit with soap.

"Bah!" She exclaimed from her mommy's arms with a smile. "Bah!"

Lloyd tilted his head and went to wipe her hands. "What does 'bah' mean, Lumi?" He turned to Harumi, who was also covered in soap, for an answer but she simply avoided eye contact.

"Bah!"

Lumi raised her hands in the air and tried to slip away from Harumi's hold. To their surprise, she started crawling towards the table in the living room the second she was placed on the ground.

Kai and Cole were quick on their feet and immediately grabbed her before she could reach the blasters they hid underneath the couch. Nya was casually cleaning the table from all the soap suds the bubbles left.

"What's that–?" Before Lloyd could finish his sentence, he was given his daughter and ushered towards the direction of the bathroom.

"Can you clean her up, Greenie? I'm gonna help Nya with the living room." Harumi grinned and closed the bathroom door.

Lloyd knew something was up. But he chose not to say anything, deciding to clean up his daughter before she accidentally ate her soap-covered hands.

"Come on, sweetie. Let's get you clean from," He placed her in a small bathtub they got that she uses for bathtime, and gave her some rubber ducks to play with. "Whatever your mommy and the ninja have gotten you into this time."

As Lloyd got the bath running, he created tiny bubbles with the soap and water in her bathtub–causing Lumi to giggle and poke at them–making him realize what she had been talking about.

"Bubbles?" He asked to confirm his suspicions. Lloyd raised an eyebrow, grabbing a handful of bubbles before blowing it over her. Lumi giggled and went to reach for them.

"Bah!"

Lloyd nodded, understanding what she was trying to say this time. "Rumi!! I know what you did!"

"Keep scrubbing, Nya!" He heard from past the bathroom walls, triggering an amused smile on his face.

"Peek-a-boo!"

Lloyd squirmed in his sleep, turning the opposite direction of where he heard the sound. A giggle followed the sound and he knew very well where it was coming from.

"Peek-a-boo!"

Another giggle entered his ears.

"Lumi? Peek-a-boo!"

There was only a handful amount of baby laughter Lloyd could handle before he was officially pulled away from his sleep. With a groan, he turned around and found Lumi in a crawling position in her crib, and Jay standing in the doorway of their room. The door slightly opened, just enough for him to play "peek-a-boo" so early in the morning.

"Just take her please." Lloyd motioned for Jay to enter and take the baby from the crib.

"Thanks, Lloyd! I'll bring her back before you wake up." Jay grinned, grabbing Lumi from her bed and carrying her out of their room.

Once he heard the door slide again, he turned towards the blonde girl beside him and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Hey, Rumi." Lloyd whispered, a lovesick smile forming on his face as he pressed himself closer to her, engulfing her in a cuddle position.

Harumi hummed in response, her eyes still closed. She was tired after a long shift at work and paid no attention to him. She did, however, turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck, taking in his scent as she did.

Lloyd chuckled, knowing her too well already. "Good morning, Princess." He whispered against her untied white-blonde hair that covered her ear. "Ready for another day of parenting?"

"No." Harumi mumbled into his chest, pressing herself closer to him, making Lloyd laugh at her words.

"Come on," He tried. "I left Lumi with Jay and who knows what trouble they would cause."

"Nya's there, she'll be okay."

"Nya's out with Kai to patrol the city."

Harumi's eyes shot open, scrambling away from his hold to get up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes before getting up to tie her hair.

"Where are you going?" Lloyd asked, watching her fumble around their room for Lumi's things.

"You left Lumi with Jay." She pointed out, confused why he was acting like it wasn't his words. "I want my daughter back in one piece."

"So, you're going to get her?"

"What? Of course not." Harumi finished tying her hair and made her way towards the door. "I'll be in the kitchen. Watching them very closely just in case." She flashed him a smile before walking out the room.

When Harumi arrived in the living room, she found Lumi sitting on Jay's lap while the boy played video games. Her eyes were focused on the screen, following the movement of the game characters as he played.

"And that, Lumi, is why your uncle is the best at Lava Zombie 3." Jay bragged as the screen flashed the words 'victory' in capital letters.

"Ah!" Lumi responded, reaching for the controller in his hands.

"No, no. You can't play video games yet." Jay threw it to another couch to keep her from taking it. "Once you turn three, I promise I'll teach you my techniques."

Harumi listened to the whole conversation and decided to make her presence known. Crossing her arms, she cleared her throat to get their attention.

"Jay! What are you doing?" She asked, watching the boy fumble for the remote to turn off the TV.

"Oh, hey Harumi!" He forced a smile on his face. "Lumi and I were just, uh," he looked around and spotted a set of colorful building blocks on the floor. "Playing with these."

He placed Lumi on the floor and surrounded her with the toys.

"See? She's happy."

Harumi considered this for a moment, deciding whether she should bust him or play along with his excuse.

"If you teach her to play video games at an early age, she can beat you in anything." Harumi smirked and walked out of the room to prepare their breakfast.

Jay gasped at her words and grabbed Lumi from the floor. "You wouldn't dare!" He narrowed his eyes on her.

"Ah!" She responded, placing her hands in her mouth to cover them with drool.

"I thought we were friends, Lumi!" His voice was loud enough to reach the kitchen, making a giggle escape Harumi's lips.
