(Week 21 - 24)

By the time she was 6 months old, Lumi had grown a tooth and was achieving different advancements that got her parents excited to try new things. With confirmation from Zane and Pixal, they found themselves gathered in the kitchen.

Lumi was wearing a green and white outfit her grandmother got her, a pink bib over her clothes, as she was strapped in a highchair.

The ninja were gathered around her, each were excited for the new milestone she was about to overcome.

"I got the carrots!" Nya called, holding a plate filled with the mashed vegetables. "It took a while but I got it all blended. It's now just carrot goo."

Misako took the plate from her hands and used a small spoon to scoop it. She approached Lumi–who was too busy playing with her toys to even care–and slowly brought the spoon to her mouth.

Lumi studied it for a moment. Her eyes shifted between her grandmother and the spoon. She decided to lift her hands in the air with a cry and knock the spoon away from her.

Misako was now covered with the mashed carrot, the orange vegetable dripping from her cheek. "Anyone else want to give it a try?"

"Ooh! Me!" Kai volunteered enthusiastically, confident that he would be the one who would get her to eat first. He took the spoon from Misako and refilled it. "Open wide, Lumi. Here comes the carrot plane."

Lumi whined and used her toy to send the spoon away, splashing his face in the process.

"Alright." Kai shoved the spoon into Lloyd's hands. "If anyone needs me, I'll be redoing my hair."

The Green Ninja looked at his daughter, perhaps he could get her to eat. Once his attempt at feeding her failed, he knew they had to find out who could feed her.

A few minutes passed–and the kitchen was now decorated with carrots–and Zane was the last person who hadn't tried. Everyone hid behind the chairs and tables, having enough baby food on them already, as they watched Zane approach her.

The nindroid smiled and held the spoon up to her mouth. Lumi tilted her head for a moment, before granting the spoon access. She smiled and tapped her hands on the small table of the highchair, demanding more of the carrots.

Everyone sighed in relief, popping out of their hiding spot to get a better view of the first time Lumi tried food.

"How did you get her to do that?" Pixal inquired, slowly making her way over the pair.

"I do not know. I simply smiled and she let me feed her." Zane shrugged and placed another spoonful in her mouth.

"Looks like Lumi has decided on her favorite uncle." Harumi teased the rest of the boys, a smirk playing on her face.

"Pft! I doubt it!"

"She obviously likes me, better."

"Dream on, hair gel."

In order to further prove their point–that Lumi likes one ninja more than the other–they each took their turns with the baby, giving Lloyd and Harumi an opportunity to rest.

"Come on, little Lloyd junior." Kai bent down to reach for Lumi, who was sitting down inside her crib, and took her with him.

Harumi shifted in her sleep, eventually waking up when she heard Kai. "Where are you taking her?"

"Just going to show Lumi who's the best uncle."

Lumi giggled as Kai tickled her belly, tapping his cheeks as he did so. Harumi shrugged and went to engulf Lloyd's sleeping figure into a hug.

"Have fun!" She murmured against his chest and went back to sleep.

Kai's smile widened, his feet breaking out into a run as he brought Lumi to his room.

"This, blondie, is called a mirror." He held up the plastic covered glass to her face as they sat down on his bed. "You always need to have one on you in case you need to check your looks."

Lumi took a good look at the mirror. Her green eyes gazed right back at itself before a smile formed on her face.

"Ah!" She babbled, and reached for the mirror.

Kai chuckled, letting her take it in her hands. "You must never let that beautiful face go to waste, Lumi." He lightly ruffled her baby hair and watched as she took in her looks through the glass.

"Ba!"

"Come on," He picked her up after a few minutes. "I have a bigger one."

The second he pulled her away from the mirror, Lumi started crying and reaching for the glass. But when Kai brought her into the bathroom, she stopped once she got a full look of her reflection.

A smile formed on her face and she immediately went to tap the glass.

"Let's see who's your favorite now." Kai smirked, running a hand through his hair.

The door slid open–which didn't seem to bother Lumi–and Cole poked his head, a smirk on his face.

"My turn." He declared and let himself in.

"But we're not done–." Kai tried to reason but Cole was quick to grab the baby.

Lumi cooed, smiling at his uncle as he ran through the halls, far enough from Kai.

"Alright, Lumi. This is called dancing." Cole plugged his phone into a speaker and pressed play on the soundtrack. A soft and soulful classical music played through the room.

Cole picked up Lumi and began twirling her around. His steps were light and precise as he danced with her. Lumi smiled the whole time, enjoying the music playing and dancing around in the air with her uncle.

"Ah!" She babbled as Cole turned around again.

"Seems like we have a ballerina in our hands." He tickled her tummy, causing a fit of giggles to come out of the girl. "Your mother is a princess, I'm sure she could teach you too."

"Bah!"

The two were caught up in their dancing, they failed to notice the door open and a figure entered the room. Cole stopped dancing the second he heard the music stop.

"My turn." Pixal stood in the middle of the room, twirling the wire connecting the phone to the speaker.

Cole turned around and groaned. "Oh come on!"

"Ah!" Lumi smiled and reached for her aunt the second she caught sight of her.

Pixal chuckled and took her from his arms. "Say bye bye to Uncle Cole." She teased as Cole narrowed his eyes.

"Bah!" Lumi placed her hands in her mouth, covering them with drool, and smiled at him as Pixal carried her out of the room.

There was always more to what the eye can see, and in this case, the Monastery also had its own secrets. Pixal made her way to the living room, taking out two ninja stars as she did, and revealed the secret room she had been working on.

"Six months is enough to build something behind their backs." Pixal winked as Lumi's eyes widened at the sight of the elevator.

She clung onto Pixal, her grip tight, and buried her face into her shoulder. The girl smiled and kept her close.

"Don't worry." She whispered as they entered the elevator. "It's perfectly safe."

As the double doors of the elevator opened, Lumi turned around to take a view of the hangar bay. There were different vehicles parked around the room and a giant screen in the middle.

"Ah!" She babbled and placed her hand in her mouth.

"What do you say we go out for a test drive?" Pixal smirked and made her way to one of the new vehicles she had been working on.

"Bah!" Lumi smiled and Pixal took it as a sign that she agreed.

"Where have you been?!"

A voice greeted them as Pixal and Lumi reentered the living room, acting normal as they did, and avoided any suspicions or traces of the secret base.

"Oh, hello Nya." Her lips formed an innocent smile, fixing her hold on Lumi. "We were just playing with...cars."

Lumi cooed, a wide smile on her face which made Nya raise an eyebrow and cross her arms at them.

"Right." She said, her eyes narrowed with suspicion. "I was supposed to have her an hour ago but I couldn't find you anywhere!"

"Well, we're here now. And she's pretty hungry."

Pixal handed over Lumi–who started placing her drool-covered hand on Nya's face–before walking out of the living room.

Nya rolled her eyes and turned her attention to the baby in her arms. "Come on, Lu. Auntie Skylor is waiting." She giggled, breaking into a run towards her bedroom.

Sliding the door open, she was met with different baby clothes and outfits laid on her bed while Skylor got some props out of her bag.

"Hey, Sky!" Nya greeted as she entered the room and placed Lumi down on the bed. "She's pretty hungry. Could you watch her for a bit while I get some milk?"

Skylor smiled and got up from her position on the floor. "Of course." She made her way to the baby as Nya closed the door. "Hello, Lumi."

This time, Lumi was kicking her legs and waving her hands in the air. Skylor smiled–pleased she finally got used to seeing her–and took some toys out of her bag.

"This is a dragon." She held out a stuffed dragon in front of her, the toy soft like a pillow, and watched as she tried to reach for it. "Your daddy used to fly one, you know?"

"Ah!"

"It was green, just like this one.

After a fresh bottle of milk, Lumi Garmadon was dressed in different kinds of clothes. From dresses to pants and sweaters, Nya and Skylor made the most of what they had to try and get decent photos of their niece.

Unfortunately, they had to stop once Lumi started rubbing her face, her lips forming a pout and her eyes grew tired. Within a few seconds, she was wailing her heart out which left her aunts in panic.

"What do we do?" Nya whispered as she picked up Lumi.

"I'll call Harumi." Skylor went for the door but it already slid open to reveal the girl they were just talking about.

Harumi poked her head into the room. "Everything okay?"

"We were having fun and she just started crying." Nya approached her and passed the baby into her arms.

Harumi took a look at her daughter for a minute and smiled, slowly guiding her head to rest on her shoulder.

"She's just tired. Too much excitement." She explained while swaying from side to side. "She'll go to sleep now."

Nya and Skylor shared a sigh of relief after Harumi left with Lumi. She yawned and rubbed her eyes, her crying placed to a stop.

"Is our little girl tired?" Lloyd asked once he caught sight of his girls. He had just finished cleaning their room and was now laying down on the bed reading a comic book.

Harumi joined him and fed Lumi. "The ninja must have overworked her." She started humming a lullaby, tapping Lumi's leg as she did, and rested her head on Lloyd's shoulder.

"Why don't I take the rest of the day off so you can do a double shift with Skylor." He offered, already pulling out his phone.

"That would help. But that means you have to put Lumi to sleep."

Harumi looked at her boyfriend with concern. Over the past 6 months, there wasn't at least one time where Lloyd was able to put their baby to sleep. It was always her who did it and she was now worried he couldn't handle it.

"I got this." Lloyd said with confidence, despite his obvious worries. "Besides, I think some Lumi and Lloyd time is long overdue."

Harumi giggled and placed a peck on his cheek. "If you say so, Green Ninja."
