56. More than just Alphas...

In the pack, there was hustle and bustle, joyous levity, and an uplifting mood all around. On this auspicious full moon day, every house on the Sirius Bright Pack’s territory was empty as everyone had gathered for Alpha Zander and Luna Adira’s wedding.

Unlike Xavier’s wedding, the younger Alpha’s wedding was being held in the pack house’s big magnificent garden.

By the evening, Beta Kaiden and Gamma Tyler had completed the border security check as well as the wedding preparations.

Lance, the Luna’s bodyguard, and Omega Cole, the Luna’s friend, had been great examples of enthusiasm. The Beta and Gamma had received their full support. The Omega not only had a handsome face, but he was also quite strong.

It was 25 minutes past the wedding’s scheduled start time, and everyone was excitedly awaiting the bride, but the new Luna was waiting for her sister. The groom and Alpha, who had been waiting for his older brother, felt the same way. They both declined to starting the wedding without their siblings in attendance.

Stephen was irritated by his older grandson’s behavior, who had inexplicably vanished with his mate. There was no one who knew where they were. Why would he go anywhere on his brother’s wedding day?! There were several responsibilities on everyone’s shoulders, yet the Alpha had snuck out of the pack with his woman in the middle of the night for fun? Wasn’t this also meant to be a big party to celebrate Kiara’s pregnancy? The old wolf had decided to take a bite of his grandson’s ass. Thankfully Zander had made up a random excuse to spare his brother’s a$$, Steven was calm and drinking with the other elders.

Close friends of the twin brothers, as well as Alphas and Lunas of the allied and competing packs, were invited. All of the guests had arrived, but the music had been turned on and the dance floor cleared, so no one had noticed the delay in the ceremony. While Jennifer and Lena, on the other hand, had ingeniously engaged the pups with ice cream to keep them entertained.

Jennifer sent a mind-link to Lena, who had been conversing with Steven for some time. Xavier had asked Kaiden to send his private jet for him so that they could arrive on time for the wedding. The return trip was going to take far too long this time. The Alpha and Luna were able to fly back in half an hour thanks to the jet “Quickly go inform the Alpha and Luna of their siblings’ arrival,” the Beta female instructed. The moon had already reached its full phase!

“Okay!” The red headed Gamma female exclaimed in excitement. The most anticipated moment had finally arrived. She noticed Zander and Adira walking out together as she turned on her heel towards the pack house. They were well aware of their siblings’

arrival. Xavier and Kiara were greeted with a smile from the couple.

“Adira! Congrats!” Kiara ran towards her sister for a big and tight hug.

“You look so beautiful in this wedding gown!” She exclaimed. She had also arrived dressed in the same green gown that Xavier had chosen for her.

“Thank you!” The older sister hugged her back.

“Grandpa has so many questions for you.” Zander warned his brother, outlining the reasons and lies he had made up to cover for his sudden disappearance.

“Ahh,thanks for covering for me,” the Alpha let out a long sigh. He knew what was coming for him.

“Why are you so stubborn, Adira? I had told you not to bother waiting for me. You should not have delayed the wedding.” the young woman murmured as she led her sister to the stage where the wedding would take place.

“There has never been a time in our lives when we haven’t been together, Kiara. And now that I’m getting married, I would like you to accompany me. I miss mom and dad. I wish they could be here with us.

But at the very least, I want you by my side when my life changes. This is a big day for me,” Adira clutched Kiara’s hand and came to a halt in front of the stage. Kiara nodded with a smile. She also missed Martha and Sawyer.

The Alpha twins, who had been trailing behind their mates, overheard their conversation but kept quiet.

“Let’s get married, Adira,” Alpha remarked as he asked for his bride’s hand in marriage. She giggled and nodded shyly. That’s when he noticed his sister-in-mate place her older sister’s hand in his, a big smile on her face.

“Best wishes, you two. Today is your day Adira. I will be there to experience it with you,” Kiara smiled as she went back to Xavier before the bride and groom took their places on the stage.

The wedding vows soon began, and everyone watched as the Alpha and Luna exchanged rings with bated breath. The young she-wolf stood by her mate, holding the glass of juice that he had bought for her.

The Alpha noticed his mate’s mouth slightly open as she watched Zander and Adira moving closer for a kiss. She had grasped the glass so firmly that he was afraid she would break it and hurt herself, yet when they finally kissed, she leapt up like a bunny.

“Careful,” Xavier kept his hand on her back to control her movements.

“Did you see! Zander and Adira are married. They accepted each other. I am so happy,” Kiara exclaimed.

“Yes, I see,” he responded with a chuckle, drawing her closer to him. Drawn in by her sister’s happiness, she had forgotten everything. Jennifer and Lena were both overjoyed, and their mates were having difficulty keeping them in check as well. After a few moments, all of the females rushed up to the stage to offer the new bride hugs and kisses. Adira’s cheeks had become flushed! She had truly become married.

“Grandpa,” Zander gave a hug to Steven. With a smile, the old man blessed the bride and groom. He had also noticed that Adira was wearing the diamond jewelry set that he had given her, which had brought him honor. It reminded him of his deceased mate. He was the happiest person there.

“Zander, I still remember what you had said. You gave your mate time to love and accept you. The respect you have shown Luna Adira is what allowed her to fall in love with you. You have proven your devotion to her. Excellent work, my son!” He congratulated while patting him on the back and kissing his granddaughter-in-mate’s hand. Adira and Zander bowed and smiled at Stephen.

“Thank you Grandpa for your blessings,” they said. The elderly wolf grinned. Finally, he had fulfilled his obligation as a grandfather to these two grandchildren. He watched their joy filled lives, in which they had lovely mates who were an honest and the ideal fit. He was the first to take a photo with the newlywed couple. Then it was Xavier’s and Kiara’s turn. Iris did not miss the opportunity to take photographs with couple, her brothers and then her sisters-in-mate. The Beta and Gamma had approached the Alpha groom just to poke him, but it turned out that the younger Alpha was the most shameless.

“Trust me, I will kick you out of our room tonight if you talk dirty in front of the others!” Adira warned her husband by elbowing him. The Alpha had no choice other than to behave himself. He couldn’t let his dream of enjoying the first night of his wedded bliss be shattered. The photographs were taken with all of their friends, followed by family and guests.

All of the remaining rituals were carried out one by one. Like the first dance, drinks, and other activities. Adira and Zander had simply served cake, but they planned to have supper with relatives and friends later. It was their party, so they decided to make up their own rules.

Xavier and Kiara had already enjoyed their time so they didn’t cut the cake. It was Zander and Adira’s day after all.

When Adira was about to throw her bouquet, every unmarried woman’s breath had stopped. Whoever caught the bouquet it was said would be the “next” one to walk down the aisle! When Adira tossed it over her shoulders, every she-wolves’ eagle eyed gaze was glued to it. Who would catch it?! All of the ranking females held their breath, hoping that it would come to rest with a familiar person.

“Oh my Goddess!” A woman standing behind all the single she-wolves gasped in astonishment as the bouquet fell into her hands without her leaping or working for it! What a fantastic evening!

“Iris!” The Lunas, Beta, and Gamma females instantly hugged the surprised woman, who couldn’t believe her good fortune. Iris had caught the bouquet!

“So it is your turn next!” Lena exclaimed, poking the Alpha daughter of the family, who was blushing profusely. It was like a dream come true. That’s when the Lunas noticed their Alphas were standing in the distance with displeased expressions. Their sister had been the one to get the bouquet. It was a clear red light. Who was that bastard who was going to steal their little sister?!

“I hope you invited your mate to the party, Iris,” even though he had attempted to speak softly, Zander’s voice was heavy. He had every intention of putting her mate to the test. Despite the fact that their sister was 19, she was still innocent, and the twins did not want a playboy to toy with her heart.

“Don’t tell me he got scared and ran away,” Xavier remarked indifferently with a blank expression.

Why hadn’t her mate arrived yet?

“He would never run away. I spoke with him earlier, he is on his way to our pack. You must keep your promise.” The young woman quickly defended her mate while reminding her brothers about the promise, which only annoyed the brothers. She was clearly madly in love with that unknown man.

“Don’t be overprotective. I completely understand how you feel. Let’s just wait until he arrives,” Kiara suggested as she clasps Xavier’s hand to calm him down. He agreed, but he had a bad feeling about this. Both of the twins exchanged glances but remained silent.

While all of the ranking members of the pack gathered at the dinner table, the guests enjoyed the buffet on the other side of the garden. On exceptional occasions, such as today, the Beta and Gamma females arranged dinner in a separate section of the garden where all of their guests could spend their time alone. Steven was seated with his friends, so he was not with them. While Iris was also busy with her friends. A large dining table had been set up in the middle, with beautifully decorated cakes, beverages, and other delicious food.

“Congratulations to Zander and Adira!!!” They all clicked their glasses together, sipped their drinks, and wished the couple a happy married life.

Kaiden and Tyler, who had skipped lunch due to the preparations, began eating hurriedly while their mates served them.

“Why are you only eating salad?” Zander questioned, observing that his mate’s plate had only green veggies.

“I don’t feel like eating much, maybe because I am tired,” she replied, eating slowly.

“Still you need to eat, Adira,” the Alpha advised, clutching her little mouth and putting a piece of meat in it.

“It is not time to be tired. Tonight is going to be quite long. You know that.” He winked, giving the young Luna dirty thoughts that made her flush. She elbowed him once more. That’s when they both saw everyone had stopped eating and was watching their little play with a smirk.

“What?” The Alpha gave a bored look while placing meat on Adira’s plate “Do you remember when I told you that when you discover your soulmate, you’ll realize what love and the mate bond is? I can see you’ve changed, “Tyler smirked, reminding him of what he had told him in the past when he was single.

“Really? I don’t remember anything,” Zander quickly lied, letting all the guys know that they could not back down no matter what.

“Then you must recall what type of mate you had imagined for yourself.” That’s when Beta Kaiden accepted the challenge and took the charges in his palm.

“I said, I don’t remember...”

“Hmm... what is this all about?” The bride’s attention was drawn to the comment, as all eyes turned to the Beta, who had no idea what he was talking about.

“Trust me, you are dead, if you...” Zander couldn’t threaten Kaiden entirely before he said it. “A cake-faced she-wolf who would wriggle her little tail around...” “Why don’t you eat more, Kaiden!!” Adira gasped as Zander approached the rambunctious Beta and shoving a large slice of cake in hi rge slice of cake in his face before he spilled all the secrets that should be kept until the grave.

Everyone laughed, taking it as a joke among friends as Beta threw daggers through his eyes at his Alpha while offering him a tight, bitter smile.

The bodyguard entered while everyone was still talking, joking, and laughing during supper.

“Luna Kiara,” he called as he approached the young woman, holding the cat in his arms.

“Meow has been missing you,” he handed over the cat to her mistress.

“Thank you for taking care of her, Lance.” In her absence, Cole and Lance had been taking care of her because Adira was busy.

“No problem, Luna,” he smiled back.

“Oh, has my baby been missing me! I missed you too, baby. Did you eat?” The young Luna asked, giving countless kisses to the white kitty “Xavier, can you please make a plate for Meow?” Kaira asked, putting her cat on the ground. Xavier placed a platter of delectable meat in front of her, and the cat instantly began to eat eagerly. She finished it quickly then started to play around the dining table, especially near Xavier and Kiara’s legs, before she ended up in her mistress” lap for a nap. .

After dinner, they all talked about Zander and Adira’s wedding and honeymoon. That’s when Xavier felt something brush across his thighs. What was that? He came to a halt and looked down, only to discover Meow had placed her paw on him for the first time, requesting attention.

“Meow! No, baby. I told you not to do that.” When Kiara had realized what had happened, she swiftly drew her back into her lap.

The stubborn cat refused to listen and began to converse with Kiara and Xavier in a bold manner. She disliked it when she was stopped!

“I’m sorry, she wants to come to you,” the young she-wolf explained the situation to her Alpha, who had narrowed his green eyes once more on the little cat, who was possibly challenging him in her own language.

“Don’t give me those eyes. You are not coming over to me,” Xavier said coldly to the cat. That caused the cat to talk more. Wait!

Did she understand them? The Alpha looked at Kiara who had bit her lip to hold in her laugh.

“If you put out your hand and give her a few scratches then she will calm down,” Kiara suggested in a hushed tone. She was well aware of his conditions that he had set for her when he had brought the cat to the pack. But she chose to push her mate a little.

“Me?” In disbelief, Xavier raised his eyebrows. He had never considered petting a pet, not even in his wildest dreams.

“‘Yes, please try it, Xavier. She likes you,” Kiara offered, her eyes sparkling. He had just been looking between the cat and her for a few seconds when he heard his woman say.

“Please do it for me once, Xavier,” she coaxed, making a cute face that caused the Alpha to blink for a few seconds.f**k! This woman could get him turned on with just her eyes, and the cuteness she had been displaying to him was too much for him to handle, so he did what she requested.

“Yes!!” Kiara giggled, watching him trying his best and touching little white Meow slowly. Yes, he did not scratch but gently patted her with his hand. The Alpha let out a deep sigh of relief. He had really done it! He hadn’t been able to deny Kiara and had done it!!

He drew his hand back after stroking Meow’s fur. That was when the women went to meet a few of the other Lunas. Zander had returned after speaking with the other Alphas and guests. Stephen had taken care of everything and told him to relax and spend time with his friends. When he returned, there was already a conversation going on.

“What did you say? You confessed your feelings to Kiara? You love her?!” Kaiden asked this in shock, but there was a surprising smile on his face. Zander’s surprised eyes snapped to his brother, then he laughed in happiness.

“Finally!!!” The younger brother roared.

“Yes, I did,” Xavier admitted.

“Congratulations Brother. You cannot imagine how long I have been waiting for this day. Finally, you moved on with your life,”

Zander said happily. The younger brother had believed that Xavier had fallen for his surrogate since the first time he saw her, but he remained tight-lipped about it. He knew that his twin would never reveal his feelings since he had a trust issue, but Kiara had changed Xavier completely. Zander could see that Xavier was returning to the old smiling sibling he had been before Petra.

“Then let’s take another shot for this great news!” Tyler replied as he raised a glass and all the guys drank at once. They planned to drink as much as they wanted tonight.

“Then what about the surrogacy contract?” Kaiden inquired as he poured another glass for himself.

“I burnt it,” the Alpha answered casually.

“What?!!” Tyler shrieked.

“Yes”

“What the hell did you do, Xavier? I hope you know that you shouldn’t have done it!” The Gamma panicked, putting the glass back on the dining table.

“I know, but I was on the verge of losing Kiara. She had decided to leave me as she was under the impression that she was only a surrogate to me. I’m not willing to risk losing her, so I burn it in front of her to make her believe,” Xavier explained, sending Tyler into a panic.

“But...”

“Tyler, I know what you’re thinking. I will accept full responsibility for my conduct. Don’t be concerned,” the Alpha assured him with a small smile. The Gamma couldn’t help but give a small smile in return, but Xavier’s comment had made him anxious.

“Luna,” Tyler approached Kiara while holding the cat. She’d been conversing with other Lunas.

“Ohh, you came to give me Meow,” she smiled, taking the cat back.

“Yes, but there is something I’d like to discuss with you. Do you have a couple of spare minutes, Luna?” He asked.

“Yes, sure,” she replied, giving her full attention to her Gamma.

“I found out that Xavier burned the contract and confessed his love to you. But there is one thing you should know: by destroying the contract, Xavier has gotten himself in a lot of trouble.”

“What? How?” Kiara questions in confusion.

“In reality, the contract was out of the ordinary. I’m Xavier’s lawyer, and I prepared that agreement. It was signed by the pack’s Alpha. It bore the seal of the Sirius Bright Pack, which was no joke. When the contract is sealed, it becomes an authority, power, and responsibility that cannot be denied. By destroying the contract, the Alpha has put his position on the line. He has challenged the seal and caused incomprehensible trouble on himself by burning it,” the Gama explained everything to her.

“Now what will happen?” In a panic, the young Luna placed her hand over her lips. She had no clue that a few pieces of paper were so deadly. She had been overjoyed when they burned. Knowing this, Xavier had placed everything on the line! She was to blame for this.

If there was anything she could do, she had made up her mind to fix it! When she was with him, there was no chance her man could get into trouble.

“I hope you have your contract safe, right?” “Yes, I have kept it safe in my room,” she explained.

“Thank Goddess! Please keep it safe, Luna. As long as one of you has that contract nothing can happen to Xavier.” Tyler took a deep and relieved breath. He had let go of all his stress.

“Definitely, I will keep it safe!” Kiara vowed. “Please do so since the contract cannot be terminated under any circumstances,” he added, running his hand through his hair.

“What?” Kiara’s face turned a little pale. Why can’t it be terminated since the Alpha burned it and wanted to end it?

“Do you mean that I am still Xavier’s surrogate?” She questioned. Tyler became worried when he saw her expression. He was fully aware that it was coming, but as a lawyer, he was obligated to reveal everything.

“You are still legally Xavier’s surrogate. But don’t be concerned, Luna. You’re both truly in love, so ignore the surrogacy contract.

Don’t even think about it. It will be over when you give birth, so you may treat it as a piece of paper, as Xavier suggested,” The gamma smiled, bringing a sigh of comfort to his Luna, who nodded slightly. She was terrified about being a surrogate again. Xavier’s love declaration, on the other hand, had given her a lot of security. She had faith in her love and accepted the circumstances as they were.

“Thank you for sharing everything with me, Tyler. I am grateful.” “It is my duty, Luna,” he gave a slight bow.

“So, Tyler, why is the Sirius Bright Pack’s seal and Xavier’s signature so important? Yes, I understand that it is important, but the way you explain it seems that it is for more than just legal purposes. What is this all about?” The young lady felt as if she had been missing out on something significant. Something she had not been aware of.

“Luna,don’t tell me, you don’t know what Xavier is!”

“He is the Alpha, right?” When he looked shocked, she smiled nervously. Did she say something wrong?

“The Alpha twins are more than just Alphas, Luna,” Tyler said.

“What do you mean? Who are they?” Kaira c****d her brows, but the suspense had piqued her interest.

“They are Alpha...”

“The Alpha King has arrived!!” A sudden and unexpected announcement cuts into the Luna and Gamma’s conversation.

“What! The Alpha King is here?!” Kiara’s jaw dropped as she noticed the royals entering the pack like the Mafia. They were the King’s Beta, Gamma, and a bodyguard. Why was the Alpha King in their pack? Tyler quickly excused himself. The whole pack, including the guests, the Alpha and Luna, knelt, dropping their heads.

Kiara’s heartbeat accelerated as she looked around. What should she do? She searched around for Xavier, but he was nowhere to be found. Nobody she knew was there. She was ready to kneel as well, not knowing what to do next, when Xavier grabbed her hand. She was startled and looked at him.

“We don’t kneel,” he told her as he took her hand in his and led her away. The young lady was taken aback while walking beside him. What did he mean when he said we? Why wouldn’t they kneel when the man in front of them was the ALPHA KING!!!”

“My King.” Xavier and Zander stated together, but both Alpha sisters had only bowed their heads, refusing to look at the King.

They were standing right next to their mates. They were taught as children not to gaze into the eyes of the royals and kings.

Those who pulled this stunt would be executed by beheading, But what was weird was that while everyone else was kneeling, they were standing.

“Thank you for accepting the wedding invitation,” Zander said with a smile. Adira looked at her mate from the corner of her eye.

How could he talk to the King while looking into his eyes? Not once had he stammered. AND THEY INVITED THE KING TO THE WEDDING? HOW?

“How could I possibly miss this wedding? I had to come,” the King said, his voice heavy but friendly. Kiara, on the other hand, recognized his voice. She felt she knew him since his voice sounded so familiar.

Who was he?

“Yes, you had to come since I’ve called you countless times. Did you forget about my twins?” Steven sighed and rolled his eyes.

“Never! How could I forget my precious nephews. They are also mine, Steven. My Alpha Princes,” the King declared. Adira and Kiara’s breath stuck in their lungs when they heard the King calling their mates nephews and Alpha Princes! Both of the ladies raised their eyes to look at the Alpha King who was none other than Grandpa Stephen’s twin.

The Alpha King was the twin brothers’ great uncle. Xavier and Zander were Alpha Princes?!
