there are three goddess , known as tridevi ( त्रिदेवी) are trinity of supreme divinity in indian culture combined form of Saraswati mata , Lakshmi mata and Parvati mata . all three goddess are the aspect of supreme divine feminine forces. each represent different aspect of divine feminine energy .

Saraswati maa : goddess of knowledge, music ,art, speech,wisdom and learning

she is depicted with veena ( a musical instrument ) in her hand and known as source of creativity and intellect . she is also associated with the sacred river Sarsawati

Oh Mother Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, most auspicious with beautiful big eyes like lotus petals, kindly bless me with knowledge. We bow to you.

HERE IS MY POV ON IT:

Since indian culture or hinduism is father of symbolism (baap of symbolism) u can interpret it as u want it to be , in the way this fulfill your selfishness .

sarswati maa is goddess of knowledge and wisdom. since , knowledge and wisdom is not a physical aspect. it is only limited to our mind that's why it is so interesting . if you only understand the word sarsawati , saras means flowing water/pooling water or in sanskrit it has another meaning softness , easily understandable or speech . and wati means women or anyone who posses . in conclusion saraswati means women or person who posses softness or quality like flowing water . it is considered that when bhagwan Bramha manifested her she appeared as a symphony .

as we all know when a person is knowledgeable he / she can convey their thought or speech /text in a very simple way they would not complicate it like other person who has much lesser knowledge. he or she will like english or sanskrit k line fek k marega . no !

and the assosiation of sarswati maa is not only limited to knowledge but to music and art also, and music and art are form of communication . music and art are medium to communicate certain emotion or things which cannot be convey in standard manner through a language . the idea you can share through a musical peace cannot be convey through simple conversation. she is goddess of communication .

But many people also know her or define her as a himalyan river which in dried now ....idk much about that .........
