Hayden was playing with the two kids and somehow got distracted. Every now and then he would glance at the silver vehicle at the entrance to the cemetery. His heart was pounding wildly.

After a while, he heard the car door open. Scarlett and Joseph got out of the car one after the other and both looked calm. It seemed that they didn’t go through any emotional changes at all.

Seeing this, Hayden was very depressed.

Scarlett waved her hand at Stella, “It’s summer vacation, do you want to come to Great Aunt’s house and stay for two days?”.

Eyes twinkling, Stella looked at Hayden and Joseph and instantly had an idea. “Yes, can I go along with Noah, Great Aunt?”.

Scarlett looked at Noah. Seeing his eyebrow, a doubt flashed in her mind.

The apple wasn’t falling far from the tree. Although this child had not been born to Hayden, he looked a little like her and Stella.

“I can’t make up my mind on this matter.” She looked at Joseph, “I can take him only if his father agrees.”

Stella hastily looked at Joseph and said as she blinked. “Sir, you will agree, won’t you? After you marry my mommy, my great-aunt will also be Noah’s great-aunt.”

Joseph had a smile on his face. He looked at Scarlett and said respectfully. “Sorry to bother you, Aunt.”

Hearing him call her ‘aunt,’ Hayden got goose bumps.

Scarlett led the two children to the car.

As Joseph watched the car pull out of the cemetery, he heard Hayden mutter beside him. “Who’s your aunt, has anyone agreed?”.

“What do you say?” Joseph turned his head and asked even though he knew the answer.

“Nothing.” Hayden glared at him and casually changed the subject, “You don’t have to worry about Noah’s safety. Even though my aunt doesn’t have children, she’s more cautious and careful than anyone else. Nothing will happen to the children when they are in her house.”

Joseph disagreed with her words. “Where are you going, I’m taking you.”

“No need, I’ve called a cab, I should be here in a little while.”

“The news thing is not what you think.”

“In your opinion, what do I think it is, do you think I suspect you have a special relationship with Violet? If you have a special relationship with her, why are you coming to approach me? I’m not such a brainless person.” Hayden replied directly.

Joseph waited patiently for her to finish speaking, and said firmly.

“Alayna went looking for Kevin. Kevin considered himself infallible, so he thought that the news spread was deliberately released by me and that he had accidentally let his tongue out in front of Alayna. So, you all believed it, isn’t this what you are thinking?”.

At the mention of this matter, Hayden’s face quickly turned cold. “I’ve known all about it. It’s a little late for you to come clean with me.”

“What if I said I never intended to use any set-up?”.

Hearing this, Hayden was slightly dumbfounded. He looked at Joseph in dismay.

“Get in the car.” Joseph took two steps forward and opened the passenger door, “Regarding how you think each issue is, I can give you a reasonable explanation. If you think it’s unreasonable, you can get out of the car anytime.”

The car sped down the highway. Joseph’s deep, deep voice echoed throughout the car. When he mentioned the ideas Kevin suggested, his tone was a bit unnatural.

“So, the bad ideas like buying those things and ignoring me are all Kevin’s suggestions?”.

Joseph nodded and avoided Hayden’s gaze.

“You do everything he tells you, huh? You’ve never been in a relationship? Is it possible to generalize these kinds of issues? Why don’t you go and do a series of tutorials on the setups to use when someone is in a relationship?”

A series of questions echoed throughout the car. Hayden’s anger was formidable and he pulled out his phone, “I can’t take it anymore, I have to tell Alayna these things, Alay…”.

His expression changed. She suddenly thought of something and was stunned as she held her phone.

“What’s wrong?” Joseph asked.

“Ahem…”. She coughed dryly, “Nothing. Since this matter has already passed, I don’t think it’s necessary to bring it up anymore, so be it.”

Alayna also gave him quite a few bad ideas. She and Kevin were really experts who fought each other with a variety of setups. They were made for each other.

“Where are you taking me, aren’t you taking me home?”. Hayden looked at the scene outside the window and regained his presence of mind.

“I’m taking you someplace nice.”

The car left the highway as the sun was setting in the west. They had lunch and dinner at a service area.

The scene outside the window changed from skyscrapers to fields that had no borders. As the sun set, the sky filled with crimson and amber clouds. Next, the sun disappeared as it was blotted out by the distant mountains.

The car stopped on an open hill. There was a river at the bottom of the hill, the distant hills seemed endless.

“Wow, the air is really good.” Hayden opened his arms, looked up and took a deep breath.

It had been a long time since she’d been out for a walk. Suddenly she felt very refreshed. The cool breeze blew in through her neck. She sniffed a little because she felt a little cold.

A pair of hands went under her armpits and around her waist. When he regained lucidity, Joseph was already resting his chin on his shoulder and speaking in a magnetic voice.

“If you like it, we’ll come often in the future.”

“What are you talking about, how can you say this so easily, we’ll sleep in the car tonight?”. Hayden moved his lips, trying to calm his violently beating heart.

“There’s no one here. No matter what we do, no one will see.”

“What do you want to do with me?”

As she was illuminated by the evening sun, Hayden’s face turned red. His voice was very soft.

Since the top of the hill was very cold, one would feel cold after the cool breeze passed for a while. Joseph took her by the hand and pulled her to the car. He poured a cup of hot milk from a thermos and handed it to her.

Hayden’s eyes widened.

“You brought milk? You planned ahead to come here, didn’t you?”

“If I came unplanned, you would have starved all night. Only irresponsible men do that.” Joseph looked at her and pulled another thermos from the compartment under the seat.

“For instance, a man like Freddie, who is a young man and has a lot of romantic thoughts in his mind. Apart from poems and dreamland, he basically can’t offer any guarantees to a woman.”

“It’s your freedom to talk whatever you want, but why are you bringing up Freddie again?” Hayden muttered and pointed to the box by his feet, asking, “What’s inside that box?”

Click Joseph opened the latch and out came a wave of hot air.

A dinner for two was inside and it stayed warm all the way through.

Hayden couldn’t help but give him a thumbs up, “Okay, you win.”

Joseph was a spoiled little lord, he was the apple of the Beckham Family’s eye. It was truly amazing that he could do this for her. If she still maintained her dignity, it would prove that she was very petty.

Besides, Violet’s problem had been caused by two people who had given her bad ideas.

While they were eating a hot dinner at the top of the hill, the two people who were in the parking lot of the Maldivian resort center and resort hotel, respectively, sneezed.
