“Who’s Stella?”

Violet blurted out.

Joseph shot her a look with a faint expression, “The daughter of an employee of the group.”

“Why are you reading the list of an employee’s daughter’s medical history, who is the employee?”.

Hearing this, Joseph closed the document in his hand and placed it on top of the medical history list. In a tone with a certain inviolability and sharpness, he asked, “Is it necessary for me to tell you every single thing?”

Violet’s face stiffened, “No, I don’t mean that, I’m simply asking.”

“You’ve asked too much.” Joseph was already quite impatient, “I have things to do, the agreed meal with Harrison is dinner. Go straight after, I’ll be on time.”

This was apparently an order to let her go.

Violet instantly regretted having ordered too much without thinking. She wanted to do something about it, but seeing Joseph’s impatient expression on his face, she could only sheepishly find an excuse and left the office. Before leaving the office, she involuntarily read the name ‘Stella’ once in her mind.

“Joseph has taken the initiative to find day care for you?”.

In the living room of the Beckham family’s former mansion, Harrison held the phone in high spirits. “How soon I take the initiative to help your mom, everything seems to be going well.”

The voice on the other end of the phone was very young, “Thanks to you telling me about Mister’s action and plan, otherwise I wouldn’t have had the opportunity for mommy and Mister to meet at the restaurant.”

“This is also due to the excellence of your mommy. Joseph will not easily admire a woman.”

“Then you mean there is hope for my mommy!”.

“Not just hope, but hope with a good chance of coming true.”

As they were merrily converging, the butler came in and remembered, “Sir, Master and Miss Kidman have arrived.”

Harrison only then said cheerfully, “Well, Joseph is back. I’ll take this opportunity to ask him how he is. Let’s call another day, Stella.”

“Okay, bye.”

The lively, cheerful voice on the phone made Harrison’s frown relax. He was still smiling, even though the call had been over for quite a while.

“I really like this little girl named Stella. If her mother marries Joseph in the future, she will also join our family and the house will be lively. Then Noah will also have a companion.”

“Doesn’t it worry the master that a woman with her own daughter won’t pay much attention to someone else’s child?”

“Didn’t you see them at the restaurant that day? Stella and Noah have a good relationship. Her mom has also paid special attention to Noah.”

After hearing the matter about the incident at the Japanese restaurant that day, the butler’s expression relaxed a little.

Joseph pulled Violet back. It was not a strange matter, since Harrison had urged her to marry five years earlier, Joseph had used her as a shield every time he visited the Beckham family. At first, Harrison also thought the two people were in a relationship, but as time went on, he could clearly see that it was simply a ploy.

“How come Noah didn’t come with you two together?” At the dining room table, Harrison asked about Noah.

Thinking about Noah’s unruly behavior at home, Joseph frowned slightly, “He’s had a bad temper lately, so I didn’t bring him here to give you trouble.”

“You’re the only one who can give me trouble.” Harrison looked at him and spoke in an unpleasant tone, “He behaves like this because you can’t find a mother who can take care of him. He stays with maids every day, do you think he will have a good character? If he becomes a dandy in the future, it will be your fault and responsibility.”

When Harrison spoke of this, Joseph put down his chopsticks. “I’ve thought about it and you’re right, so I’m getting married.”

“You’re getting married?” Before Harrison revealed his happy expression, he heard Joseph say.

“I brought Violet to tell you this.”

“What?” Harrison’s expression immediately changed, “You mean, you want to marry her?”

Harrison’s face darkened. Not knowing what had happened, Joseph frowned and said, “Violet has been by my side for so many years. Since you want me to marry, I’ll marry then.”

“Wait, wait a minute.” Harrison was slightly confused. After thinking about it for a while, he calmed down, “What about Noah, is Noah okay with you getting married?”

Joseph showed some expression. “The reason for having this marriage is mainly due to Noah’s opinion.”

“Impossible.”

Harrison was so angry that he exhaled a long whistle. He spoke directly in front of Violet, “I will not agree to this matter. I definitely won’t agree if Noah doesn’t personally come and tell me he agrees.”

Joseph was slightly surprised. He originally thought that after saying he was getting married, Grandpa would be happy, but why was Grandpa having this reaction?

Violet was furious, but she didn’t dare show it. She held back her displeasure and spoke softly. “Harrison, I will treat Noah well after the wedding. Besides, no one knows Noah better than I do. After all, I’m the one who watched him grow up.”

Harrison looked at her and cooed indifferently, glancing at the butler next to him. “Mark, go personally fetch Noah here.”

The old mansion was not far from where Joseph was staying. It took the butler less than half an hour to bring Noah in.

When Noah saw Violet after entering, he flinched slightly and looked a little frightened. Harrison greeted Noah and spoke to him with a pleasant smile.

“Noah, come, come to great-grandpa.” Noah rushed over.

“Your dad just told me you want a mommy, is it true?”. Noah shook his head, but when he looked at Violet, a shiver ran down his spine.

Then, he nodded again.

Joseph noticed all this and was slightly surprised.

“He’s still a child, so maybe he doesn’t quite understand, but he knows who treats him right.”

As he said this, Violet faced Noah and patted him twice, smiling softly, “Come, Noah, come to my side.”

Noah unconsciously backed away and hid behind Harrison.

Harrison, who had watched all this, looked at Violet coldly. “What you say is not correct. Children can know a lot more things than we think. The way you communicate with the child determines the kind of person they become.”

Violet’s smile hardened. She said embarrassed, “Yes, you’re right, I’ve learned a lesson, I’ll watch my speech in the future.”

Harrison looked cold and did not express his opinion. He looked at Joseph and said, “You are already thirty years old. Since you didn’t get married in the past, you don’t need to do it quickly now. In a marriage you have to consider all aspects. We will talk about this matter later.”

His words clearly showed an attitude of disapproval. Was it necessary to talk about it later?

Violet was so furious that she had her nails digging into the palm of her hand.

Joseph, on the other hand, apparently showed no reaction to it.

People did not have a good time at dinner. When Violet was about to leave, she initially wanted to leave with Joseph, but Harrison asked her to leave first, saying he wanted to tell Joseph something.

“Damn old man, it’s obvious he doesn’t agree with the marriage between Joseph and me. It’s a waste that I’ve always gone to see him all these years. Surprisingly he ignores all my effort.” Once Violet got into the car, she slammed the seat angrily.

“Violet, don’t be angry. As long as Mr. Beckham insists on this matter, Harrison won’t be able to do anything about it. Don’t you know Mr. Beckham’s character yet? Look, Harrison forced him to get married and have a child last time. But, what he did was that he simply found an unknown woman to help him give birth to a child for him to take home. For this matter, he doesn’t seem to care much about Harrison’s opinion.”
