As he was struggling, he accidentally stepped on the carpet and fell towards Joseph, who was suddenly laid on the bed along with Hayden.

With the heavy snowfall, coupled with the feeling of Hayden’s warm and soft body on him, Joseph became distracted.

Unaware of his change, Hayden reached into his pajamas to touch his waistband after undoing the rug, “You were the first one to prank me…”.

But Joseph squeezed his shoulder with one hand and turned him around.

“No, you can’t…!” Hayden shouted, then realized that Joseph seemed to want to sleep with her. She was abstracted by his expression.

He was breathing noisily, affecting her deeply and his breathing became rapid as well. In short order, she tugged at him pressing against his neck.

They kissed affectionately and their breathing sounded stifled and longing.

Snowflakes formed on the branches of the plum tree from where the plum blossoms were coming out and could be smelled fragrant through the window.

Throughout the night, the snow continued to fall and covered the entire city before dawn.

At the Joann Group distribution warehouse in Chengdong District, a team of young men and women dressed in casual clothes had been lurking for almost a night.

A female voice rang out in the darkness inside a laundry room just outside the warehouse door.

“Are you sure we’re in the right place?”.

“Definitely!” Benjamin was staring at the door with steady eyes, “I’ve been here before and I remember that there are always some people transporting drugs to this place and hiding illegal deals in more than 20 entertainment fields in N-Town.”

“But now it’s 2:10 a.m., I think we can’t wait any longer in casual suits.”

“Be patient.” Benjamin frowned, “They have to come.”

Andrea ducked lower, her thermo detector showed that the temperature there was already 20 degrees below zero, the lowest point in the city. This temperature would hurt them as long as they hid rigidly.

“No, I can’t wait.” Andrea pressed the intercom button, “Jack, can you hear me?”.

After the intercom buzzed for a while, she picked up Jack’s response in the headset.

“Yes. Jack here. Please give me your order, ma’am.”

“You need to stand down now with your gear as it will get colder and we have not prepared gear to protect us from the cold. Life and health are more important.”

“And you, ma’am?”

“I will stay here and report back to you if we need help.” Andrea knew what he was going to say, so she continued, “Don’t waste your time, just go.”

Jack had nothing else to do but say, “Okay, I understand.”

The members of Blue Eagle Force Group No.1 had successfully withdrawn without any attention in five minutes and now only Andrea and Benjamin were left waiting at the scene.

“Are you cold?” Andrea asked Benjamin, “It’s okay to go back to rest if you’re too cold, I’ll stand guard here. It’s almost dawn and I’m afraid no one will come.”

“No, I won’t go.” Benjamin replied in an outburst, “Why don’t you go back with your team? I can handle it myself.”

“Come on. Why so serious?”. Andrea became a little annoyed and replied reproachfully, “I can risk my life to help you. But my team members can’t, I’m responsible for their safety. Are you dying to be a hero? When we finish the task, I will report your actions to the authority for punishment.”

“I don’t care. But if you do, I won’t be your partner in the next drill.”

“How can you…?” Andrea was stunned at his words. She put the gun away again and said angrily, “Okay, I’m going to change partners. And now I’m going to go back and fill out a transfer application. Go to P-town, I don’t need you and it seems crazy to stay here with you, suffering through the bad weather.”

Then he gathered his things and left without looking back.

Benjamin gritted his teeth, his face blue from the low temperature. He kept insisting until half an hour had passed and he got hungry too. He rummaged in his pocket and discovered something hard.

He was surprised and watched Andrea walk away.

He could understand her decision. They were just military students just taking part in exercises without fear of getting hurt, although they always did a good job on safety and security measures both in the military and at school. But this time, they were putting their lives on the line in the capture of drug dealers.

Suddenly, the sound of an engine was clearly heard in the quiet night.

Snow was falling outside, and the whole area was illuminated by streetlights. Then a white car arrived and stopped at the door of the warehouse. Out of it came two strong men from the front door and three from the back, who opened the expansion door, “Hey, brother, I’m going back to my village to celebrate the New Year when I finish the business.”

“Me too, I was informed that we would get a lot of money this time. I am loyal to Arnold Bevis, as he always keeps his promises.”

“However, he is not the boss. Actually, he obeys someone else, who is in charge and is responsible for the distribution of the money.”

“Who is it?”

Those men were talking while another one in a black raincoat got out of the car wearing a mask and sunglasses. All those things made it difficult to know his identity, “Stop talking and hurry up. The last of the goods have arrived.”

“Are you afraid?”

A man said nonchalantly, “We all put our lives on the line, but you can’t do it since you are a coward.”

“Stop this nonsense, or you’ll all be fired.”

“Hey, what do you mean?”

Realizing they were going to fight, Benjamin frowned and considered what time to arrest them.

If he fought the six men, he would possibly lose. But this time, he was well equipped and a good opportunity for him to take action.

The men in the raincoat were chased away by the others and walked to where Benjamin was.

Benjamin was crouched in a corner, he also had the knife and gauze with some chloroform ready. When he saw the man enter, Benjamin immediately strangled him, covered his mouth with the gauze and waited for the man to become unconscious in just five seconds.

“What a scumbag.” Benjamin spat at him. He removed the man’s mask and was shocked to see him. The passed out man turned out to be the CEO of the Joann Group, Bowen Wright.

He had ascertained that there were some private relationships between Bowen and Franklin, but today, unexpectedly, Bowen was coming here in the flesh to be a drug smuggler, which showed his wariness.

Exchanging his own clothes for Bowen’s, Benjamin tied him up tightly and hid him in the laundry room. After that, he walked out of the laundry room boldly toward the warehouse.

It was still snowing and he looked like a demon greedy for human lives with the white snow on the black coat.
