PREFACE

"WE SPEND MOST of our lives caught in an endless rat-race, chasing after this abstract and mystical conception of 'success'. But what happens to those who fall before they reach the end?

There is no aid, no one stops to lend a hand or to lift another up; because each of us are too fixated on our own path, consumed by our own greed.

Those that fall, we, are the aftermath and imperfections of the human race. We are the depressed and coined 'the mentally unstable.' But have they ever told you why? If they haven't, let me show you."

- SERENA WILSON

SYNOPSIS

"In which letters from a dead girl get delivered"

Three months ago, Serena Wilson was found dead in her bed— at just 17.

She had died of an overdose.

No one can quite believe nor understand why Serena did what she did. After all, Serena had practically everything most one could only dream of ; stable friendships, spectacular grades, anything a typical seventeen-year-old would've wanted.

Her friends struggle to come to terms with her suicide and are driven apart, each of them hurting in their own ways.

Three months after her suicide, letters from Serena start being delivered—

each to those who touched her heart.

AUTHOR'S NOTE :

hi! firstly, thank you beautiful human for choosing to read this book. letters from serena is something close to my heart, and is my 'baby' seeing as it's the first book i didn't give up on halfway through writing.

I'd just to warn you to proceed ahead with caution and discretion as this books deals with many 'dark' matters ( i.e suicide, depression, eating disorders, and more similar topics ) and with that being said, this is not a love story with a happy ending. It's more of people left in the aftermath of a person's decision, having to face the countless why questions but eventually realising that not all of the bad things have to stay bad.

This is the story of how one girl's suicide drove her friends apart but how her letters brought them together again.

This is the story of hope and prayers. And how sometimes, we can't take back the decisions and actions we've made but how we can change the way we think from that point on and grow.

With nothing else to say except enjoy xx

iIpresent to you,

letters from serena
