“How do I look, Taka?” I know what he likes; I tied my hair into a half-braided one.

“Pretty cute and beautiful.” Taka praised. “This school uniform is similar to one that I have on Earth.”

We both got out of my room together. For male students, the uniform consists of a tailored blazer in a deep blue color. Adorned with the school’s embroidered crest on the chest pocket. Beneath the blazer is a crisp, white dress shirt paired with a silk tie in the institution’s signature colors—often rich tones like burgundy, emerald, or royal blue. The trousers are perfectly pressed, matching the blazer in color and fabric, and leather dress shoes complete the ensemble.

For female students, the uniform maintains the same formal style. It includes a fitted blazer and a white blouse, paired with either a pleated skirt or tailored slacks, depending on the school's dress code. The skirt usually falls just above the knees and shares the same color scheme as the male uniform. Accessories may include a ribbon tie or a neck bow, and dark tights or stockings are often part of the dress code. Footwear is polished and conservative, typically featuring black loafers or formal shoes.

Every detail of the uniform, from the cut of the fabric to the placement of insignias, reflects the school’s high standards and long-standing tradition. Students are expected to wear the uniform with pride and dignity, reinforcing their identity as members of a prestigious academic institution.

Noa was waiting for us in the living room. Our entry exam results are unexpected. I got second place, Miyuki got third place, and Noa got first place. “Uh, I don’t think I can give a speech. Help me, Taka!”

“No, we are both glad that you got first place,” I said.

“Yeah,” Taka replied. “Let’s go to school.”

From our home, we go to school by walking. It took us 15 minutes to go there. The gates of Kerak Advanced School stood tall and gleaming. So many students already come and stroll the campus with high confidence.

I took a deep breath and passed the gate. We have been told by student council members to go to the schoolyard for the opening ceremony. The headmaster is giving us a boring speech while Taka and Noa are listening enthusiastically. Now it’s time for Noa to give a speech since she finished in first place in the entry exam.

Maybe she has a special skill that activates when in a pinch. Despite her nervous appearance, she is giving her speech normally. The opening ceremony ends after the student councils drag a board filled with class lists.

We waited till everyone left and took a look at where our class was. Taka and Noa are in class 1-A, and I am in 1-B.

“I’m sad that we are not in the same class,” Taka said to me.

“Come on, on break time we can meet again,” I replied. “Please take care of him, Noa.”

“Sure,” Noa said. “How’s my speech?”

“Quite good,” Taka answered.

Maybe I’m too careless or whatever. But I feel Noa has a feeling toward Taka. If she steals Taka from me, I will just murder her on the spot. Taka's attitude and personality changed, too, when he met her.

Each class has 30 students; the division is randomized, so no class has too many smart students or average students. After seeing Taka and Noa entering class 1-A, I go to the next room, where my class, 1-B, is located.

All back seats are full, not only on Earth but also in this world; students like back seats more than front seats. I take a seat in the center of the front row. Our class seats are 5x6 models. I want to be a lone wolf again.

While the others start grouping and introducing themself. I just sit here and wait for the class to start. Our homeroom teacher walks in. He’s a macho type, but he’s a human teacher.

“First not first, welcome to Kerak Advanced High School! In two years, I’ll be your homeroom teacher! My name is Mr. Anderson, my race is human, and I’m excited to teach you!” He said enthusiastically.

Our first day is just full of introductions and trying to bond everyone into one. A boy comes closer to me. “Nice to meet you, Miyuki. I’m Brethan.”

“Nice to meet you, Brethan,” I replied.

“Would you like to join our group?” He offered.

His group is filled with top students in this class. Maybe it's worth trying to become popular. Should I get out of my comfort zone? “Sure.”

“Whoa! Hey Alex, Sisi, and Milina, she wants to join our group!” Brethan calls the others to gather around me. They explained that all of them have been my big fans since I won the championship. I quickly gained popularity in my class. My teachers are hopeless at dispersing the crowd.

Break time finally came, and I managed to come out of the crowd. When I come out of my class, Taka runs away to me.

“It’s scary; my stepsisters are here,” Taka said.

“What? Are you not hallucinating?” I replied.

“Ahahaha, why do you run away from me, Taka? Don't you miss your stepsister? I came here to take you back with me to Earth.” A half-human, half-elf girl with skin as pale as porcelain, her long blonde hair flows like a liquid down to her waist and is braided with a red ribbon, said.

Her eyes are strikingly pale silver, with the other eye having a gold-colored iris, giving the impression that she looks like our last boss. She moves with a graceful elegance; her presence is calming and intimidating.

“You must be Miyuki, the one who makes my stepbrother so different.” She said. “Let me introduce myself. I’m Seraphina Celeste Romano, crown princess of the mighty Holy Eturuks Empire.”

“Miyuki Scarlett Karasuma,” I said and stood guard. “So what? You want to snatch him there? In front of this crowd?”

“Nope, I’m glad that I see him again,” Seraphina replied. “Later, I might be bringing him home with me.”

“No, I don’t want to,” Taka said and hid behind me. “Go, Miyuki, defeat her!”

“Hey! No fighting allowed in school!” a teacher shouted. We got a detention on our first day of school.

We were being held in the detention room until school was over. Seraphina was calm in the face of this situation. Taka is stressed and can't stay still. When the volcano almost erupted again. The detention teacher came since we are upperclassmen, and it’s our first day of school. She let us go when the break time was over.

“I should be in the same class with you,” Taka said.

“Where’s Noa?” I asked.

“She’s busy with class rep duty,” Taka answered.

“Just stay close to Noa.” I told him, “Now go back to your class.”

For the rest of the school hours, no accident. The Brethan group is trying to ask me to go hang out with them. I politely declined them since I must help Taka do his leader tribe duty at the government office this afternoon.

Taka took my word seriously. He hides behind Noa when they are going out of the classroom. Princess Seraphina bid him farewell and went with her servant. Our eyes met, and I gave her a death glare, trying to make her understand that if she tries to take Taka away, death will be her guarantee.

“Let’s go to the government office.” Taka said and grabbed my hand, “Noa, you can handle the medicine delivery alone, right?”

“Leave it to me!” Noa happily replied. “Are we taking orders again?”

“Nope, since school has started. I might have a hard time adjusting my time between making medicine unless it’s an emergency.” Taka, tell the truth. “To be honest, it’s my weakness; I can’t spend my time wisely.”

“I think I might have a part of it,” I said. “Let’s have sex only on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.”

“Whoa, you guys talk about that thing publicly?” Noa hushed. “That’s inappropriate. Talk about it in private.”

“Oops, sorry,” I said. “Let’s depart for the government office. See you there if you’re done, Noa.”

We part ways with her. We make a quick walk to the government office and straight to Taka's rooms on the second floor. A bunch of paperwork awaits us.

“Re-really this much?” Taka said. “No wonder your father wants to stay in your hometown rather than in the capital.”

“Just filter it based on urgency. Let me help you.” I said and started reading the paperwork. “If the work time ended, let’s go home. That’s how my father is doing it. No need for overtime since there is no pay for overtime.”

“I don’t mind doing overtime. Since I have to help all people in the federation, right? What kind of leader didn’t like helping their people?” Taka replied.

“Yeah, appreciate your dedication, but reality still isn’t hitting you hard enough, huh?” I said.
