Chapter 3: Escaping

With a steady voice Taka told me the truth. His step mom and step sister are going for his grandpa heritage. At the time of his death, his grandpa put everything that he owns into Taka. But his father with the help of his step mom and step sister change everything and he gets none of it.

“A-also I dont want to be engage with someone I didnt love.” He continued. “Before I running away, my step sister says that my father already arranged an engagement meeting with me.”

“When I see who it was my mother killer daughters.” He said. “I dont want to talk about this anymore.”

Tears started pouring down in his eyes. I gave him a lot of hug a trying to calm him down. In the end I hear the sounds of snoring from him. I change his clothes to a pajamas and put him in his bedroom.

“Time to research that strange book.” I said and sat at my gaming computers.

And surprise! The book coming back at inside my bag. This time i’m 100% sure that his books can vanish mysteriously and coming back. I scanned the QR code using my phone and opened the links at my computers.

It take me to an automatically download page. I’m asking my white hacker friends if this app are safe or not. She replied, “It’s pretty safe just a translator app. A recent friends of mine also asking to check that app. But he was found dead in his apartment after three days.”

“Maybe you want to read that strange books. But I suggest you not.” She continued.

“Thanks for the warning.” I replied.

When I opened the app on my pc there’s a notification pop up. It tell me to wake up Taka and ask him to read this book together. I slowly walk toward his bedroom and wake him up. “Taka? I need your help.”

“Erm, what help?” He wakes up and ask.

“About the strange books.”

I explained to him that I got that strange books on the trains. He was excited and full of fire again. As I back to in front of my computer, he was in the bathroom washing his face. We scanned the entire book and to the translation apps.

This book was interesting, Taka and I read it until someone knocks our doors. When I look at my pinhole it was police with Taka parents. Uh oh, we’re in danger.

“Miss Miyuki, can you open the doors this is police. We received report that you come back home with a missing persons.” The police said.

“Who’s that?” Taka asked.

“Police!” I replied. “And your parents.”

“No! They will take me away! I dont want to!” Taka panicly said. He take the book and chant a strange words. The police breaching my doors. His parents shocked to see me with him. Police try to arrest me but at the last minute Taka hold my hands.

The book emits a blinding lights. I can feel that I and Taka sucked into inside the book. We both fall and landed in the middle of forests. A paper fall from the sky. Taka took it and our appearances changes.

We both changes into an elves, Taka looks happy. “Yeaay my wish approved! We’re transported into another world! We finally can be toegether here.”

“So we’re inside a world that looks like a RPG world?” I asked after seeing my body changed. “Neat, so what our main quest?”

“This paper said we must quickly go to nearest town and entering the temple.” Taka said. “Hope this one is not souls like world.”

“That damned game, we already dead if the world we in like souls world.” I said. “But we finally dont have to worry about your parents finding you.”

“This papers also said we will reveal our base stats if we going to the temple.” Taka said, after reading that the papers broken down turning into an identity card. Taka give me mine, our stats are pretty blurry.

“Keep behind me and I will search for the way out of this forest.” I said and look for a pathways. Taka took my word and tailing behind me. We’re off to a dirt path that I found many people passing on it.

“Are you guys new here?” Some passerby asked. “You two got an elf. That pretty good choice.”

“So where we are?” I asked.

“We’re inside another world. Just go north from this road and you will find Kalomlos the starting town. After you got your status revealed. You will be transported to your real spawn point if you ready. My advice is gather information first.” That passerby answered.

“Thank you.” I replied.

“Becareful dont die. This place is a starting point and no return point if you die in this world. If you die in this world you will be back here trapped and wandering around aimlessly like me! No way return to earth unless you finish the major quest God given by you!”

That explained why this passerby are appeared like a spirit. “A God? In this world? But why?”

“Mmmm, if you dont want to call him God. Just call him X, if this is a video game world. He like the GM, but this is not. This place is like a mirror planet of earth. And the world here is a dark fantasy urban world. Make sure you have a good mental health before seeing how brutal this world is.”

“Becareful with your boyfriend. He has an attractive face here. Unlike earth where beautiful woman are high price. In here your boyfriend will be considered a high value target for slave traders, prostitution or maybe being a toy for a noble.”

“I’m scared now. Maybe this is the worst decisions I made.” Taka said. “Thank you mister kind spirit.”

“Hahaha, good luck!” the spirits pass us and wandering aimlessly.
