Chapter 1291 Mya was enchanted by everything on the airplane, relishing the fruits and high-protein meals provided.
Aware of Myaâs pregnancy, Nancy and Macey took exceptional care of her, keeping any snacks out of her reach for her babyâs health.
Nancy commented, âIn these circumstances, itâs better to keep things under wraps for as long as possible. However, we donât know how long weâll be able to stay here this time. Hopefully, the childâs birth will go smoothly.â
Macey expressed her concern, âIf Mr. Turner discovers weâve been aiding Mr. Turner Sr. without his knowledge, it could end badly.â
Nancy responded, âWeâll handle it step by step. Thankfully, weâve managed to keep Ms. Harperâs pregnancy a secret.â
Holding a strawberry, Mya asked, â Nancy, did I win our game? See, Fred didnât even notice Iâm carrying a baby. Is it time for my reward yet?â
Nancy promised, âRest assured, Ms. Harper, youâll get your reward once we arrive.â
After a hearty meal, Mya, now easily fatigued due to her pregnancy, drifted off to sleep. Upon waking, they had arrived at an international airport in Roshya.
Fred had arranged for some of his people to pick them up and drive them to a private estate guesthouse, surrounded by endless fields of lavender. Mya, discarding her scarf, ran toward the lavender fields, joyously throwing herself onto the flowers. Nancy and Macey, terrified, hurried to support Mya, fearing a fall could harm the baby.
âMs. Harper, after we settle into the rooms, weâll take you to the hospital for a check-up. Now that itâs just us, thereâs no need to hide anymore,â Nancy assured Mya as she and Macey helped her up.
âGot it,â Mya responded.
Their driver, a Venturian living in Roshya and an informant for Fred, was tasked with ensuring Myaâs safety. His stern demeanor was unsettling to her and reminded her a little of Fred. Mya was intimidated, so snuggled closer to Nancy for comfort and whispered, âHe looks so fierce! Why doesnât he talk? I donât like him.â
The servants shared Myaâs apprehension toward the silent driver. Macey reassured Mya, âHeâs here for your protection, on Mr.
Turnerâs orders.
âI still donât like him,â Mya muttered.
At the hospital, Mya was taken to the best facility for a check-up. After a busy half-hour and the results in, a blonde, blue-eyed doctor pointed out a shadow on her head scan. âThereâs a hematoma from an injury not yet fully healed, pressing on the tissue and nerves.
âSurgery in this condition is risky, both domestically and internationally, so itâs best treated with medication. Fortunately, Ms.
Harper, our hospital has the technology to ensure your recovery within two years.â
Nancy exclaimed, âThatâs excellent news. Macey, inform Mr. Turner about Ms. Harperâs condition.â
Macey nodded in agreement. When she dialed Fredâs number, she could not reach him or even the Ventropolis Prisonâs landline.
Both numbers were not available.
