CHAPTER : 14

Listening to the loud noises from Virat's room, everyone down stairs, rushed upstairs to his room and knocks on the door. There was no reply so they decided to break the door.  They got in and get greeted with the large room, filled with darkness. It was late at night by the time the function was finished and there was no light in the room. Samrat asked Mohit to switch on the light.

The light hits Virat's eyes as if some one is inserting needles in his eyes. The bright light was very much to handle for his eyes who are now comfortable with the darkness around them.

Everyone was worried and shocked to see Virat's room. All the things were scattered around and Virat was sitting, taking the support off his bed on the floor. The tears have dried on his cheeks which left their marks on them. Virat was not responding to anyone and was sitting like the statue. The pain and questions in his mind were enough for him to not give attention to the people in his room.

Everyone was shocked to see Virat's condition like this. They could notice his broken and pale face. Ashwini and Samrat goes near him and sits besides him. Ashwini hugged him and Samrat put his hand on his shoulder to bring him back to reality or atleast to make him know that there are people in his room. Virat did not even moved. He was still lost in Sai's memories and the day when Sai left him, was playing in his mind as if someone has put that day on auto play.

Samrat: Virat kya hua? Sab theek hai na?

Ashwini: kuch toh bol na godu!! Kya hua hai?

Virat again did not speak. They made him sit on his bed and Ashwini was still hugging her child to give him some comfort. She has not seen him this broken and lifeless before, even when sai has left, his condition was better than this. The mother's heart was not feeling good about his child health. Seeing the tears in her child's eyes, she got emotional and the tears started to getting formed in her eyes.

Ashwini: bol na kuch godu! Kya hua hai? Kaise halat bana rakhi hai apni? Kuch toh bolna.

Virat: mere baba ne meri kushiyan cheen li. Mera sab kuch cheen liya. aai...

Everyone on the room was confused together with Pakhi. Everyone was thinking why he was talking like this? Why would a father will ruin his own child's happiness?

Omkar was stunned to hear what Virat said. He got suspicious that virat knows the truth. The truth he has been hiding from everyone for the last six years is exposed in front of Virat. He got tensed.

Pulkit knows what he was talking about. He was feeling pity on seeing Virat's condition. He knows about the whole truth but didn't tell anyone, not even devyani because he has given a  promise to sai. After shifting out of Nagpur, sai never contacted him. He tried to talk to her via Aniket but she refused to talk to him and said that it's better for them and her if they don't contact each other anymore. He knows that what she has done is only because of the safety of devyani. Only because of her, devyani was cured in a couple of years. He wanted to thanks sai  and tried to find sai after she has graduated but he failed.

Samrat: yeh kya bol raha hai tu Virat? Ninad mama ne aaisa kya kiya ki teri kushiyan chin gai.

Virat was silent, he can't speak anything. He was feeling disgusted and he did not even dare to think about him. He was only thinking about his sai. Only she was on his mind. Pakhi then remembers that he now knows the truth, which sai has told Samrat and Samrat has told her. She knows that what Virat is talking about because she knows that both the Sais are same but Samrat will not be able to know because he thinks that both the Sais are two different person.

Samrat : bol na kuch.. kya hua hai?

Pulkit : mein batata hu samrat, mein janta hu ki Virat aaise kyu bol raha hai.

Virat looked at him in disbelief. He thought that if Pulkit had known the truth all along, then why did he not told him?

Pulkit looked in Virat's red eyes and nodded, assuring him that he will answer all the question in his mind and will told the truth to every one in this room.

Devyani: Pulkit, bolo na, kya hua hai? Virat aaisa kyu behave kar raha hai?

Pulkit: Virat mujhe pehle se sab pata tha. Sai uss din mere pass aai thi jis din tumne usse apna rishta khatam kar diya tha. Or usne mujhe kasam di thi ki mein kisi ko bhi sach na batao.

Everyone was shocked and confused after hearing Sai's name. Ashwini and shivani wanted to know the truth. It's been so long and they have missed sai, and they want sai back in their family.

Omkar was frozen to the core. He was shaking from inside knowing that the truth will be out.

Ashwini: Pulkit kaisa sach!! Kya hua tha meri beti ke saath? Kya hua tha Pulkit kuch toh bolo.

The tears that were formed in her eyes started falling down her eyes. She wanted to know what had happened to her daughter.

Pulkit: Sai ko iss ghar se or Virat ki zindagi se bahar nikal ne ka plan tha jismein Ninad ji , Bhavani ji or humare Omkar kaka bhi shamil the. Un logo ne mil ke jhoote sabut banaye or Virat ko yeh vishwas dilaya ki Sai ne usse kisi or admi ke saath milke dhoka diya hai.

Everyone was stunned. They cannot believe that the elders of the house could do anything like this.

Omkar: jhoot, agar aaisa hi hai toh vo ladki Virat ke aane se pehle hi apna saman bandh ke kyu khadi thi? Apne ashiq ke saath jane ke liye hi na?

Omkar tried to defend himself. but his defensive words only anger pulkit and he spoke in a loud voice. He cannot tolerate anymore false accusations on Sai. She was the closest person to him and he cannot forget what she has done for him and Devyani.

Pulkit: nahi, aap shayad bhul rahe hai ki sai ne apne aai or apni devi tai ke liye apne sabse anmol rishte ko chod diya. Aap log ke kehne pe ghar chod ke gai kyuki aap logo ne kaha tha ki agar vo yeh ghar or Virat ki zindagi chod ke chale jayegi toh aap Ashwini kaku or Devyani ko uski galti ki saja nahi doge. Or kaise galti, vo galti jo usne ki bhi nahi. Isseliye vo apna saman pack karke khadi thi, vo ja rahi thi bina Virat se mile, par aap logo ne or ek chal chali or sai ko puri tarah se tod ke bhej diya. Uske dil toda tha Virat ne. Mein toh ab yeh bhi nahi janta ki vo kaha hai. Uske kehne pe mein kahi or shift ho gaya or usne humse saare contact tod diye taki devi ko or pareshani na ho uski wajha se.

Virat listened to what Pulkit said and felt like an arrow hit him right across his heart. The tears again started to fall down his cheeks. He thought that how can his own family members hate him so much that they didn't even care about his happiness.  He was now inconsolable and was crying in the arms of Samrat. Ashwini and devyani too broke down knowing that sai has made a huge sacrifice just because of them.

Ashwini: mein kehti thi na, ki meri bachi aaisa kuch nahi kar sakti, vo aaise ghatiya harkat nahi kar sakti phir bhi Virat, tune meri baat nahi mani. Meri bachai mere liye sab se lad gai. Usne apne pati ka bhi intezaar nahi kiya kyuki vo janti thi ki mein kitne dard mein thi. Ninad ne mera jeena mushkil karke rakha tha. Usne mere liye apni shaadi dav pe laga di...

The tears started to roll down her eyes. She was feeling pain in her heart and remembers the day when sai told her that she will never meet them. Now she understood that why she was talking like this. She wanted to protect her. The pain in her heart was increasing with every moment realising that her daughter must have gone through so much pain to defend her.

Pulkit: pata hai ashwini kaku, uss din jab sai mere pass aai thi na toh usne kaha tha ki usse iss baat ka dukh nahi hai ki vo iss ghar ko chod ke aai hai kyuki usne yeh ghar aapke or Devyani ke iye choda hai. Par uska dil iss baat pe tuta tha ki Virat ne usski ek bhi baat pe vishwas nahi kiya, uske character pe ungli uthai or uspe itna bhi trust nahi kiya ki vo aaisa kuch nahi kar sakti.

Mohit: Ashwini mami, iss mein Virat dada ki bhi koi galti kaha hai, jab iss ghar ke bade aaisa karenge toh bacho se koi aache ki umeed kaise rakh sakta hai.

Pakhi: meine kaha tha tumse Virat, ki tum apni iss galti pe pachtaoge. Sai aaisa kuch nahi kar sakti. Meine pehle hi tumse kaha tha.

Shivani: kaka, aapko sharam nahi aai aisa karte hua... Aapne.. uski zindagi barbad kar di.

Omkar: kuch bhi mat bolo Shivani, aaisa kuch nahi hua hai, uss ladki ne Virat ko dhoka diya tha..

Before Omkar could finish his sentence, Virat spoke in a loud voice..

Virat: bas.. bahut jhoot bol liya, par ab ek shabd bhi bolenge aap sai ke baare mein. Aap logo ki wajha se meri Sai aaj mere saath nahi. Mujhe aap logo pe uss din vishwas hi nahi karna chahiye tha. Bahut ho gaya aap log please yaha se chale jaiye, mujhe kuch deer akele rehna hai. Please.

Omkar: par Virat..

Virat: bola na kaka, please chale jayiye. Mein ap se koi baat nahi karna chahata. Kya sach hai, yeh mujhe pata chal chuka hai. Please aap log yaha se jaiye. Samrat, Mohit please sabko yaha se leke jao.

Samrat and Mohit both ask everyone to go to their respective rooms. Everyone left crying and feeling bad for Sai. Pakhi only stayed in Virat's room together with samrat and Mohit.

Samrat: tu chinta mat kar mere bhai, sab theek ho jayega. Sai ko hum dhundege.

Mohit: ha dada, aap himmat mat hariye. Sai vahini jald mil jayegi.

Virat: kaise milegi? Mein toh janta bhi nahi ki vo kaha hai? Kaise hai? Akhiri baar uska naam mere saamne tab aaya tha jab usne mere account mein paise transfer kiya the. Usne vo saare paaise mere account mein transfer kar diye the jo bhi meine usse diye the ya uspe kharach kiye the. Kya pata ki usne dusari shaadi kar li ho? Vo maa ho kisi ke bache ki.

Theses thoughts again hit him and his tears started to flow continuously.

Pakhi listened to what Virat said and she wanted to tell that sai also misses him, and she has not married yet but she was bind by the promise she gave to sai. She went from there quietly and sits with everyone else in the living room. After some time Samrat and Mohit also came down and sits with them, informing them that Virat was sleeping because he was exhausted from constant crying. Everyone in the hall was sad to know about the truth. Omkar was in his room because he don't  want to face the consequences of what he has done. They all were talking about Sai sitting there and feeling pity for Virat.
