CHAPTER : 7

Sai and samrat both heads towards samrat's house. They rang the doorbell as samrat has forgotten to take his keys with him. An old lady, opened the door. It was samrat's maid which he has specially kept for pakhi. He asked the old lady where pakhi was. She said that she was in her room and left for her house as it was getting late.

Samrat asked sai to make herself comfortable, which she already was. And runs inside to call pakhi.

Sai was roaming around the dinning table to have some water. Pakhi and samrat comes behind from sai.

Samrat: sai apni bhabhi se toh milo.

Sai put the glass of water down and turned around and gets stunned to see pakhi. Pakhi has changed alot in the last six year. She looks different. And her six- seven months pregnant belly was playing a major role in changing her looks. Sai was shocked and was not able to say anything. She had thought that she will never meet anyone of the Chavan family but her destiny has planned something else for her. She had never thought samrat will be also a member of Chavan family.

Pakhi on the other hand was delighted to see sai. She has missed her and she can't wait to tell all the others in the family that she had found sai and also that sai and samrat knows each other for a long time. The excitement and happiness was clearly visible in her eyes.

Sai was afraid that pakhi will tell about her and Virat to Samrat, she nodded her head left to right, trying to signal pakhi to not to tell anything to Samrat.

Pakhi understands that sai was trying to say something to her and also that they needed a moment alone together. Pakhi nodded at sai and turns towards samrat to talk with him.

Pakhi: samrat, tum meri ice cream laye ho na?

Samrat: par tumne kab kaha tha ki tumhe ice cream khani hai? or abhi sai aai hai na tum usse baat karo mein tumhare liye baad mein le aaonga.

Pakhi: nahi mujhe abhi khana hai or baby ko bhi bhook lagi hai na, please le aao na or sai se main baat kar loongi na. tum jao.

Samrat: par, abhi hi lani hai kya?

Sai: dada jayena na . kyu mana kar rahe ho? or mere liye bhi lete aana please.

Samrat finally gave up and agreed. He grabbed his jeep's keys and started to go towards the door. Pakhi stopped him and took the keys from his hands and asked him to walk to the ice cream shop giving the excuse that he needs to excercise more.

Samrat: aare par pakhi, tumhe pata hai na ki vo store kitna door hai. mein vaha tak paidal kaise chal ke jaonga?!

Pakhi made a face which he can't say no to. He agreed to walk to the store. Pakhi needed the time with sai and sending samrat to get them ice cream is the only idea which came to her mind. Samrat finally turned to get ice cream and walked out of the door only thinking that his wife's strange behaviour is the result of her mood swings which is normal in pregnancy.

After Samrat left, Pakhi turned towards sai and looked in her eyes. There was awkward feelings between them. They have met after a long time and they don't know what to speak. Finally Sai thought to break the ice and start the conversation.

Sai: congratulations pakhi did.... mujhe saachi mein nahi pata tah ki samrat dada Mr. Virat ke bhai hai, meine socha bhi nahi tha ki vo unke bhai honge. par mein bahut kush hu ki app or Samrat dada bahut kush ho apni life. or ab aap dekhna mein aap ko koi bhi problem nahi aane doongi apke pregnancy se related. Aap ab Dr. Sai Joshi ke under ho. Ab se mein aapka dhayan rakhungi.

Pakhi did not understand why sai was behaving so strangely but she as happy to have her little sister with her again , especially during her pregnancy. She was delighted to have sai back in her life. She went towards sai and hugged her tightly. Sai hugged her back.

Pakhi: kaha chali gai thi tum? pata hai kitna miss kiya meine tumhe. Yaad nahi aai tumhe meri?

Sai break the hug and by that time both the ladies were crying with the tears of joy as they were meeting each other after a long time and they have missed each other.

Sai: aai na pakhi didi. Bahut yaad aai. Par mein aap sab se milne nahi aa sakti thi na. Please mujhe maaf kar do.

Pakhi smiled and make her sit on the sofa and herself sits besides her.

Sai: pakhi didi, aai kaise hai? Or shivani bua? Mohit? Sab kaise hai?

Pakhi: sab bahut aache hai sai. Or pata hai sab tumhe bahut yaad karte hai. Aaj bhi badi mami, bua, sab tumhe bahut yaad karte hai sai.

Sai smiled knowing that pakhi must be telling the truth but she also knows that Bhavani, ninad and omkar must be celebrating their victory till date.

Pakhi: sai, tum aaj bhi Virat ko miss karti hona?

Sai was silent, she looked at her with wide eyes. Pakhi smiled seeing her reaction.

Pakhi: samrat ne bataya mujhe sai, tum use apna dada manti ho, or tumne uski jaan bachai thi Manali mein, mein tumhe uske liye shukriya kehna chahati hu sai. Tum toh janti bhi nahi thi ki vo kon hai, phir bhi tumne use bachaya. Thank you.

Sai: pakhi didi, vo mera farz tha. Agar unke jagaha or koi bhi hota toh mein unki jaan zarur bachati.

Pakhi: samrat ne mujhe sab bataya hai ki tumhare saath kya hua. Usne mujhe sab bata diya, kaise ghar ke bado ne milkar tumhe or Virat ko alag kiya, or kaise un logo ne tumhari or samrat ki jhooti photo Virat ko dikhai. Pehle mujhe nahi pata tha ki vo kiski baat kar raha hai, mujhe laga ki koi or sai hogi, par aaj jab meine tumhe dekha toh mein sab samajh gai sai, tumhare saath bahut galat hua hai. Aur ab mein sab sahi karungi. Mein sabko sach bataongi.

Sai: nahi pakhi did, aap aaisa kuch nahi karengi. Meine kaku or baba ko apni zaban di thi, or mein apni zaban ki pakki hu. Mein wapas nahi aaongi.

Pakhi: sai, logo ki zaban tab tak zinda rehti hai jab tak vo log zinda rehta hai, ab vo log nahi hai iss duniya mein. Tum please apne aap ko or Virat ko saja dena band karo.

Sai understands what she was talking about. A tear escapes from her eyes knowing that they both are dead. She really don't have any emotion or feeling for them but she was scared to know how much pain Virat must have gone through.

Sai: pakhi did please aap yeh baat kisi ko nahi batayenge. Aapko meri kasam, please, aap dada ko bhi pura sach nahi batayengi. Or mein koi saja nahi de rahi Mr. Virat, unko wahi mil raha hai jo unhone chaha. Vo cahate the ki mein ghar chod ke chale jao, or unhone meri izzat or atam saman pe ungali uthai hai. Mein unke pass ab kabhi wapas nahi jaongi . Aap please yeh baat yahi khatam kar dijiye. Aap kisi ko nahi batayenge ki mein yaha hu or dada ko yeh nahi batayengi ki mein hi wahi sai hu.

Pakhi was confused that why sai did not want to stay with Virat when she is now getting the chance to, but she also understands that for her, her self respect more important and Virat has shattered that.

Pakhi: theek hai sai, jaisa tum chahogi waisa hi hoga. Par ek baat yaad rakhna ki sach kabhi na kabhi samne zarur aata hai.

Sai knows that the truth will come out eventually. She smiled and said.

Sai: yeh sab chodiye na pakhi didi, aapko iss halat mein stress nahi lena chahiye. Ab aap Dr. Sai Joshi ke guidence mein hai, or ab aap wahi karengi jaisa mein kahungi. Samjhi?

Pakhi nodded. She was happy that sai was back but she also felt bad for both sai and Virat as they love each other but then too they are so stubborn to understand anything. They both chatted for a while. Sai and Pakhi told all the happenings of the last six years. They both have realised that so much have changed during the past half a decade. Pakhi avoided any talk about Virat, knowing that it will only hurt sai more. But sai wanted to know about him, she wanted to know how is he doing, and how is he moving on with his life but she was too afraid to ask, she thought that if she asked about him and got to know about something which will hurt her more, then she will not be able to bear the pain. Samrat has told sai about his family members and also about the fire. At that time sai was there with him but sai was feeling guilty for not being their for Virat. Samrat has not told anything or very less about Virat this Sai.

Soon samrat returned. He was breathing heavily.

Sai: dada aap theek toh ho na? Itna haaf kyu rahe ho?

Samrat: ab se agar tum dono ko kuch bhi chahiye hoga na toh mein paidal nahi jaonga. Pata hai mein bhaagte bhaagte aa raha hu.

Sai: par aap bhag kyu rahe the?

Samrat: aare agar yeh tumhari ice cream pighal jati toh? Ek toh tum dono ne mujhe meri gaadi nehi le jani di. Or ab agar tum dono ki ice cream pighal jati toh phir se mujhe lene bhej deti.

Both the ladies burst into laughter seeing samrat's condition. Samrat looked at both of them with annoyed expression on his face.

Samrat: wah bhai wah, matlab pehle ek kaam thi ki ab dono mil gai mujhe tang karne ke liye. Bas mere ko pareshan kar ke rakhi ho tum dono or abhi tak toh srif ek ghanta hua hai tum dono ke mile, pata nahi aage jake mera kya haal karogi!

Pakhi: kuch kaha samrat?

Samrat: nahi jaan, kuch nahi kaha. Mujhe baut bhook lag rahi hai... Chalo kahna kha ne chalte hai.

Samrat walked to the dining area and both the ladies followed him. Pakhi was smiling knowing that now that sai is back in her life, and she will soon be back in Virat's life as well. She knows that truth will come out and Virat will apologize to sai. Sai will have to forgive Virat as she knew that they cannot live without each other.
