"Elson!" Anna shouts, making me flinch. "Elson!!"

"Anna, do you really have to scream in my ear?"

"Oh! Sorry!" She apologizes, nervously laughing.

"Thank you," I sigh, patting my ringing ear with my frozen hand.

It was quiet for a moment, making me sigh in relief.

Anna breaks the silence once more, screaming out in hopes of her voice reaching Elson. "It's me Anna!!"

I jolt again, sighing with an exasperated smile. My horse's ears flicker as he snorts, making me pat him sympathetically.

"Your sister who didn't mean to make you freeze the summer! I'm sorry, it's all m-my... F-fault!" She shivers, hugging me tighter for warmth.

"Elson! Please, come back!" I call, quieter than Anna, shivering and closing my cloak with one hand.

"Course... This wouldn't have happened if he just told us his secret," Anna bitterly chuckles softly, "he's a stinker."

"Well... I... knew, actually," I mumble, and she was quiet for a moment.

"What?!" Anna shrieks, making my horse neigh in surprise and buck both of us off.

We both scream and land in piles of snow, Anna slightly underneath. I groan and shake my head, gasping when my horse takes off running down the mountain.

"No! Wait!" I shout, but he doesn't listen.

"No, no, no no no, no!" Anna reaches after him, shuddering violently, "o-o-okay..."

I groan again, shaking as I stand up to help Anna out from the snow. She doesn't wait, and grabs a lopsided tree for support. The tree somewhat yanks her out before flinging out of the ground, covering Anna in more snow.  She groans in annoyance, her exposed hands drooping.

I let out a small sigh, and go to help her.

...

..

Anna and I both struggle to walk in the thick snow, our gowns not exactly meant for long treks. The sun had set, so the temperature dropped by a lot.

"W-We s-should have c-changed before we left..." I shiver, nearly tripping as I walk.

"I-I can't believe y-you knew this w-whole time and d-didn't tell me!" Anna grumpily replies, making me sigh.

"I-I'm sorry, A-Anna, but I couldn't," I stammer out as my teeth chatter, gasping and steadying Anna as she slips again. "It wasn't m-my secret to tell. You know? I'm... sorry."

She was quiet for a moment before sighing.

"I-it's okay, (Y/N). S-Sorry for freaking out and making y-your horse run off," Anna apologizes with a sheepish smile, making me grin back.

"It's alright." I pause for a moment, glancing around. "... About what you said. Before Elson ran off. Elson having feelings for me?"

Anna's eyes light up as she looks to me, smiling before it falls as I give her a stern look.

"You shouldn't say things that aren't true, missy," I scold her softly, trudging through the snow alongside her. "No wonder he freaked out when you said that. I can't imagine how mortified he was."

"Isn't true--?" Anna slowly repeats as her brows furrow. "But, (Y/N), he--!"

A large gust of icy wind blows past us, making both of us shriek and shiver, her previous thought forgotten.

"Snow! It had to be snow," Anna huffs as we continue through the snow. "He couldn't o-of had t-t-tropical magic that covered the fjords in white sand and w-warm..."

Anna trails off, laughing with a relieved smile. I look to where her gaze was at, gasping and sighing in relief when I see the nearby smoke.

"Fire!" We both finish at the same time.

I gasp as Anna shrieks, slipping down the small icy hill.

"Anna--!" I scream as I start to slip after her, our cloaks caught in thorny branches.

I manage to dig my feet in the ground to prevent me from falling into the small, freezing stream. Anna... Wasn't so lucky.

She lands on her bum in the stream, making me gasp and rush to help her as she shivers and whimpers. I help her up by grabbing under her arms and stabling her, and we both cross the icy waters.

Anna's dress had completely frozen while mine only frozen on the bottom, and we both continued to shiver and huddle next to each other as we rushed to the cabin.

"Cold, cold, cold! Cold, cold, cold, cold!" Anna whimpers, and it seems to take forever to reach the cabin's steps.

She maneuvers oddly to get her stiff dress up the steps, and reaches up to slap the snow off of the sign.

"Wandering Oaken's Trading Post," I read, shivering.

Snow falls off a smaller sign attached, making Anna gasp, "ooh! And sauna!"

We both enter, Anna going first as I hold the door open for her. Wind pushes against the door as I enter after her, yelping as the door slams against me.

Anna continues shivering as I sigh in relief, the warmth hitting my exposed arms and melting some snow from my hair.

"Yoo-hoo!" A man's voice calls, making me and Anna look towards him. An adorable little man sits behind a desk, his cheeks and nose rosey as he places his fingers together with a smile. "Big summer blow out! Half off swimming suits, clogs, and a sun balm of my own invention. Yah?"

His accent was prominent, and he shows us a bottle full of his Sun balm.

"Oh, great," Anna politely replies, shaking some snow off her dress.

"That's wonderful... For now how about..." I look down at my frozen heels, "boots? Winter boots?"

"And dresses!" Anna adds in excitement, making me snicker softly.

"Vat would be in our winter department," Oaken kindly replies, gesturing with his hand towards the wall.

I blink at his 'Winter Department', only having two outfits and boots along with some rope and an ice pick.

"Oh, um..." Anna trails off, making me shrug as we approach the items.

"Just curious," I call, Anna choosing her outfit as I grab the other, grateful it was in my size. "Has... Anyone else come through here?"

"The... King perhaps, I dunno," Anna adds as we take our items to the counter.

"Only ones crazy enough to be out here in this storm are you, dears," Oaken replies, and just as he says this the door was opened, the bell dingling. "... You two and this fellow."

A man with ice completely covering his body enters, stomping out some snow from his boots as he heavily pants, looking around.

"Yoo-hoo! Big summer blowout!" Oaken greets, showing off his sum balm.

Anna looks over the man as I look at him suspiciously, nervous at the way he approached her.

Anna nonchalantly hums as I continue staring at the man.

"... Carrots," his muffled voice came from behind the mask, making Anna tilt her head.

"Huh?"

"Hey--" I start as he leans towards her, but he cuts me off.

"Behind you."

Anna and I look down, realizing the carrots were indeed behind her dress.

"Oh! Right. Excuse me," Anna apologizes, scooting and standing next to me as the man grabs a bundle of carrots, tossing it on the counter.

"Oh, a real howler in July, yes? Wherever could it be coming from?" Oaken makes small talk with the man as he approaches the rope and ice hammer, weighing it in his hand.

"... The North Mountain," he replies, walking back over and placing the rope on the counter.

"North Mountain..." Anna and I both mumble at the same time, and I was glad to know where Elson was.

"That will be forty."

"Forty? No, ten!" The man shakes his head, setting the hammer on the desk.

"Oh, dear. That is no good. See, this is from our winter stock," Oaken frowns, "where supply and demand have a big problem."

"You wanna talk about a supply and demand problem?" The man scoffs, looking out the window, "I sell ice for a living."

I peek outside, cringing when I see his sled full of ice blocks.

"Yikes, that's gotta be hard," I mumble, shaking my head.

"Ooh, that's a rough business to be in right now. I mean, that is really..." Anna trails off as the man stares at her, unamused. She clears her throat, "that's unfortunate."

"Still forty," Oaken's replies with a shrug. "But, I will throw in a visit to Oaken's Sauna. Yoo-hoo! Hi family!"

We look over and see his family consisting of four children and his husband all waving.

"Yoo-hoo!" They greet back, and Anna and I wave with grins.

"Ten is all I got," the man sighs, shaking his head. "Help me out."

"Okay... Ten will get you this and no more," Oaken replies, scooting the carrots to the man.

"Okay, just... Tell us one thing," Anna interrupts, making the man sigh. "What was happening on the North Mountain? Did it seem... Magical?"

The man huffs and yanks off his mask, revealing his face.

"Yes!" He says with exasperation and looks down at her with a firm stare, "Now, back up. While I deal with this crook, here."

The three of us look to Oaken as he rises, revealing he... Wasn't an 'adorable little man'. But a giant 'adorable little man'.

"What did you call me?" Oaken demands, a hurt look on his face as the man gulps.

Third Person P.O.V

Anna and (Y/N) watch with wide eyes as Oaken lifts up the man, making Kristoff yelp.

"Okay, okay! I'm out!" Oaken then tosses the man out of his shop, Kristoff going flying through the air with a scream and landing on his face in the snow.

"Bye, bye!"

Kristoff sputters and wipes the snow from his face as he sits up, Sven eagerly greeting him.

"... No, Sven, I didn't get your carrots," Kristoff sighs as Sven stops sniffing him, moaning in disappointment and sitting down. "But I did find us a place to sleep. And it's free!"

Sven looks to the small stables, nodding with a grunt.

...

Anna and (Y/N) look at Oaken with wide eyes as he sits down, appearing small again.

"I'm sorry about this violence," he apologizes with a sheepish smile. "I will add a quart of lutefisk, so we have good feelings."

(Y/N) cringes at the fish in the jar, looking back outside.

"Just the two outfits and the boots, yah?"

"Uh..." Anna trails off, looking at the hammer and rope before both girls look at each other and nod.

...

"Reindeers are better than people..." Kristoff sings, strumming his lute as he lounges in a pile of hay. "Sven, don't you think that's true?" Sven looks up, nodding as Kristoff sings for him.

"Yeah, people will beat you and curse you and cheat you! Every one of them's bad, except you."

"Aw, thanks buddy," Kristoff chuckles, petting Sven's snout. "But people smell better than reindeers. Sven, don't you think I'm right?"

"That's once again true, for all except you!" Sven smiles, batting his eyes.

"You got me!" Kristoff chuckles and winks. "Let's call it a night."

"Goodnight!"

"Don't let the frostbite... Bite," Kristoff finishes as they get comfortable.

"Nice duet," Anna greets, opening the door and startling the two.

(Y/N) enters after her, adjusting her winter coat with a soft sigh of relief, glad she was finally warming up.

"Oh. It's just you two," Kristoff sighs softly, leaning forward, "what do you want?"

"We want you to take us up the North Mountain," Anna replies, making Kristoff raise a brow and scoff.

"I don't take people places," he shrugs, leaning back and placing his hat over his eyes.

"Let me rephrase that," Anna starts, grabbing one of the bags from (Y/N) and hurling it at Kristoff's stomach. He grunts and exclaims as he sits up, looking accusingly at the two girls. "Take us up the North Mountain. Please."

Kristoff looks down at the bag, shoving Sven's face away as he eagerly sniffs at it, sighing in disappointment when Kristoff shows it's just the hammer and rope.

"Look, we can stop this winter. But we need help getting there," (Y/N) sighs as Kristoff looks up at the two.

Kristoff sighs in annoyance, leaning back and laying down and covering his eyes with his hat again.

"We leave at dawn." He replies with a grumble, smugly adding. "And you forgot the carrots for Sven."

Anna huffs and takes the other bag from (Y/N), throwing it at Kristoff. It smacks him square in the face, making him grunt and quickly sit up.

"Oops! Sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I didn't..." (Y/N) looks at Anna, making her stop rambling. "We leave... Now. Right now."

Anna follows (Y/N) out of the barn, (Y/N) grinning and quietly praising Anna for her unexpected boldness.

Anna smiles in reply, both listening for the man.

Kristoff offers a bite of carrot to Sven before taking one himself, and then... They set off.
