Paige's pov:

All the way to my dorm all I could think about was Annie, how could a such beautiful, gentle, kind, loving, and special girl like her be into me? How lucky I am to have Annie. When I got to the weight room after stopping by my dorm to change, the girls were already there starting their workouts, I went to stretch with Azzi and KK "good morning buckers" KK said excitedly "morning KK" I laughed and smiled "Look at you P, already smiling in the morning that's rare" KK said giving me a side hug "She slept at Annie's remember?" Azzi smiled "Ooooooh, that makes sense" KK said smirking "yeah...I think I got the girl now" I said smiling looking at my feets getting ready to start stretching "are you two oficial now?" Azzi said shocked "not yet" I said "But do you want to?" KK asked "Yes" I replied "then you better do it P" KK said "Just don't mess it up" Azzi looked into my eyes with a serious tone "I won't".

We finished the practice and KK, me, and Nika were having lunch "are you going to pick up Annie for the party later?" Nika asked to me "No, she said that she will be there after us because she has to study" I replied "How can she trade party for studying? She is crazy" KK said "don't call her crazy, at least her grades are good" I said a little angry at the way KK talked about her "Alright, Alright..." she said putting her arms in a surrender gesture  "And what about Sarah, are you going to pick her up KK?" Nika asked and KK changed her face "no..." I looked at Nika with a confused face "Did you two fight?" I asked KK "No it's just..." KK said hesitantly about opening up "Hey you can talk to us" I said putting a comfort hand on her shoulder and Nika nodded "She wants to date, and I think im not ready for that, so she said that we should take some time to ourselves to think about what we really want" she said all at once "oh...that's hard, but you have to be honest with yourself, she's worth it" Nika said "You should try to open up to her, if you feel comfortable of course" I said eating my lunch "I'll try.And about the party, they are probably driving there" KK finished and we stayed there eating and chatting.

Annie's pov:

I finished my studies, did the homework i needed to do, finished everything in the perfect time. Then my phone started vibrating 'Mom ❤️‍🩹 is calling', it was my mom, every Saturday my mom calls me to know the updates of my life and of course to not miss me so much "Hi mom, how are you?" I answerd the phone without thinking twice "Hi honey, im fine, how are you? I miss you" it was so good to hear my mom's voice, I couldn't wait to tell her about everything with me and Paige, she obviously already knew about her but I just said I had a little crush "Im great, I miss you too mom. I have news by the way" I said not wanting to keep it to myself anymore "Really? Tell me" "Me and Paige are finally becoming something else, she slept in my dorm today and now we're going to a party with the team" I said super happy "Honey that's great, im so glad that you've finally opened up to new feelings" My mom is always supportive "Thanks mom,Paige is really...something new, I really like her" "oh An, I can tell it by the way you talk about her, she must be a really nice girl" "she is" I answerd, Sarah knocked on the door coning into the room "Annie are you getting ready? Who is on the phone?" Sarah said sitting next to me on the bed "my mom" I replied "OH MY GOD AUNTIE EMILY" She screamed "Oh hi Sah, how are you doing?" My mom said in a comforting voice, Sarah and my mom are really close "Im good, have you heard about your daughter's girlfriend yet??" Sarah said teasing "She is not my girlfriend...yet" I said and we were all laughing, we talked a little more and I hung up the call, because it was already 10pm and I needed to get ready "Bye mom I love you" "Bye sweetie, I love you too, I hope you two have fun" "We will" she pretended to blow me a kiss and hung up.

Me and Sarah were getting ready, we were a little late but I didn't mind because I knew the girls were going to turn the night at the party. Our shared playlist that goes from Taylor swift to Frank Ocean was playing in the background, sometimes Sarah would scream the lyrics and I would just laugh and sometimes I would be the one screaming the lycris with my heart and she would be laughing and taking pictures with her favorite camera that had a 'old' effect.

"Nika sent a message, they're waiting for us, are you ready?" Sarah said "Yes, just let me get my bag" I grabbed my bag, put on some lipgloss and took a look in the mirror adjusting my Pink dress and walking to the living room to find Sarah "Gosh, this dress is perfect" Sarah said looking at me "You think? Isn't too much?" I said looking at myself "of course not. We should go now, it's almost midnight" Sarah said leaving our dorm "it wasn't me who took at least 1 hour to choose an outfit" I teased "Shut up" Sarah closed the door and we left, maybe this was going to be one of the best nights I've had in a long time.

Paige's pov:

It had been at least an hour since we arrived at the party, Annie hadn't arrived yet, I was starting to think she wasn't going to come. I was with Aubrey and Ice, and it was already my third drink, I was so tired of practices, tests, I needed those drinks to cheer me up a little, but in the blink of an eye wasn't sober anymore.

"Paigey, hey I missed you" That annoying voice screamed in my ears,Julia, I didn't want anything to do with her anymore, actually we were never a thing "Um hi Julia" I said not happy to see her, Ice and Aubrey just looked at me sideways and I was begging them not to leave me alone with her "Why are you being dry? We should dance to lighten your mood" her hands were on my neck and I was holding her wrist trying to let her get off of me then Ice pulled my arm "P look", 'Fuck', was what I thought when I saw Annie and Nika looking at me 'hugging' Julia "Get off me Julia" I said pushing her away, I could hear Ice and Aubrey laughing at her face, but now I just needed to explain myself to Annie.

Annie's pov:

"ANNIE GIRL COME HERE" Nika yelled the moment we got to the party "Hi niks" I giggle, she was hugging me from the side "god Annie you're so hot, P is lucky" "Thanks niks, but c'mon look at you, you're STUNNING!" I said laughing shyly and blushing at the compliment, Nika laughed "Let's find you your girl" Nika led  me to the drinks section,loud music playing in the background and  several sweaty students dancing in the house, I was trying to get used to it.

"Oh there she is-" Nika cut off her voice by a jump scare, when I looked Paige had a girl tied around her neck, she was wearing a black dress and Paige was with her hand on her wrist, I couldn't see it 100% but it looked like they were doing something...intimate. I felt tears forming in my eyes, Paige was with another girl, I know she can do whatever she wants because we are not togheter but I thought we were starting something special, I thought maybe I could change her, and she was starting to like me.

"Annie wait" I was walking out of the house, Nika and Sarah running after me "Don't worry about me I just need to breathe, you can go back to party" I knew they had been waiting for this party all week I couldn't ruin it for they "Annie STOP, you're not okay, you just saw Paige with another girl after you two had a big step in your relation stop preteding like it didn't affect you!" Sarah said getting my attetion "And the party won't be the same knowing you're out there crying alone" Nika said giving me a side hug, Sarah joined us in the hug and now I couldn't hold back the tears anymore I didn't wanted to say anything just knowing they were there for me was enough "When I get Buckers..." Sarah said "No sah, don't do anything to her, we weren't nothing anyway" I sighed wiping my tears, I had mascara all over my face "What? Of course you two are something Annie, she talks about you everyday, I don't know what she had in mind" Nika said "Well, now it looks like she won't talk anymore." "Oh my baby," Sarah said like a mother holding me in her arms again.".

I insisted that Sarah stay in the party and I would go back alone but she would never do that, Nika stayed because she was driving the girls back but only after making sure I was a little better "Text me if you need okay? I will try to talk to Paige" Nika said hugging me "Thanks Niks, but I think I should figure this out on my own" I said looking at her "well, okay, whatever you prefer, just try to relax tonight okay? Love you guys" She said godbye to me and Sarah.

We got to the dorm and I sat on the couch staring straight at the off tv "An it's okay to cry" Sarah said as she sat down with me, I looked at her and couldn't hold back my tears anymore. Paige is so special to me she was my first situationship, the first girl that I had a attitude with, my first time, my first kiss, my first everything, and I was just another girl to her. Maybe she was drunk, and maybe I misunderstood but she could avoid that girl she could pull her out, to show me trust, but now I don't know how to trust her anymore, I can't pretend I dont have feeling for her anymore, because I do and that's why it's hurting me so much.

"Oh Annie, just let it out" Sarah said rubbing my back as I cried hugging her.

After a few minutes of crying Sarah grabbed an ice cream and we were eating it together chatting "at least we have a little trip to iowa in a few days" Sarah said "yeah...to photograph her" I said looking at her "At least we're in shit togheter, im not in a good phase with KK either" "Oh Sah I love you" I laughed, she was trying everything to light up my mood "im sorry for ruin your night" I said feeling bad "Annie you will never ruin my night, now we can watch movie eating ice cream togheter, is there anything better than that?" We both laughed feeling grateful to have each other "we should have a best friends day tomorrow, to forget a little about these basketball girls" Sarah said "Yes please, we should go shopping" I said "YES, tomorrow sounds good? We don't have calsses and practice so...free time" "It's perfect".

We ended our night watching Sam and Cat, we watch it everytime together, eating ice cream and trying to forget about Paige just for a few seconds, even though it was almost impossible.

"I still think you shouldn't answer her" Sarah said as she settled into my bed, she was going to sleep with me tonight, I stayed silent before responding "I kind of want to hear her side, she seems...worried? And I can't be totally mad at her we weren't dating" "okay then..." she shrugged her shoulders.

A/N

Well, I finally finished this chapter. I admit it's not my favorite, but I'm terrible at writing sad stuff.

We saw a moment between Annie and her mother, Annie's mother is a character that I also want to develop more, they have a great relationship and I want to show that more in the story.

I'm on a summer trip, and that's why it's taking me a while to post I want to enjoy the trip, but I won't stop updating, okay?

Anyway... I'm also preparing a chapter from Paige's POV before they go to Iowa.
