Annie's pov:

I woke up alone in my room like every day, but this time I had a feeling that was making me never want to get out of that bed again, the events of last night came to my head, and again I didn't know how to feel I was sad, angry, but at the same time I was missing and disappointed with Paige, even though I felt bad for it because I didn't want to force her to be with me. I remembered that Sarah had slept in my bed so she was probably already awake, today would be our day, just us like the old days when Sarah was my only friend, I got up from bed, washed my face and looked at my phone to see the missed notification.

And of course, she texted me too, the way she seemed so desperate to talk to me make me want to belive that it was all just a misunderstanding. She sent me that typical good morning message we always send to each other

Good morning

It was simple but felt thoughtful. I took a time to reply my mom, Nika, Azzi and a few other messages, minus Paige's, even though I really wanted to I couldn't I needed some time to think about Paige without Paige, was I overreacting? I don't know, but it felt the right thing to do at the moment.

I had breakfast with Sarah and we started to do a quick clean up in our dorm, my playlist was playing in the background and when we finished cleaning up the dorm we started get ready for our day.

"Dress or jeans?" I asked holding a summer dress and a pair of light jeans "Dress" Sarah said "Okay, even if you chosed the jeans I would choose the dress" I said changing into the dress, a basic but neat summer dress "I know, that's why I said the dress" She let out a laugh.

"we should match at the Iowa game, what do you think?" Sarah said putting on her shoes "that would be so cute, we should also wear blue too, to match with the team" I said "I loved it".

We got in the car and drove to the mall, Sarah was driving so she handed me her phone to put on some music, of course I picked our shared playlist as usual, the first song was 'Dorothea' by Taylor Swift "OUR SONG" Sarah said, we have two songs that are 'our song' one that I picked is Dorothea and the other is 'Godspeed' by Frank Ocean, we started to sing the song to each other and suddenly my life felt right again.

We arrived at the mall and went to our first store, trying on some clothes, trying to match for the Iowa game like we planned "what do you think of this top?" Sarah asked me, a dark blue corset top it was beautiful the color matched UCONN perfectly "Oh my god it's beautiful, the perfect shade too" I said "I think im going to buy it, did you find any good clothes?" She asked getting ready to change again "Not really" "Let's go to another store then".

At the next store we tried on some more clothes, I found a cute Navy blue top and a basic black skirt just like I love but with the right accessories and shoes it would be perfect, we paid and made a quick stop at the toy machine in the center of the mall "Sarah lets play" I said excitedly because it had been a long time since I played with one of those "Okay, you go in this one and I go in the other one" we tried at least 4 times each, and by some miracle Sarah got a Brown bear that we called Brownie because it is our favorite dessert. "This bear is so cute" Sarah said holding the bear "You're so lucky, I've never gotten a bear from one of those machines" "Do you remember that day last year, when you cried because you spent $50 on those machines to get a pink piggy and didn't got it?" Sarah laughed "Don't remind me, I wanted that pink piggy so bad".

We decided to take a some pictures, and go to Ulta, we also bought some things we needed for the trip, and I took Sarah to the bookstore with me to buy some new books "How do you found time to study like a robot, work, and you read like 2 books a week?" Sarah said following me around the bookstore "I dont study like a robot, and my maximum is 1 book a week" "You're crazy".

To end our afternoon we stopped at a little cafe inside the mall to have a cute coffe and some cookies, we sat at a corner table and talked about everything like we always do "Are you excited for the Iowa game?" Sarah asked me "Yeah... kind of" I said remembering that I would have to photograph Paige, and seeing her play in a such important game and not being on a good streak with her would be difficult "Annie don't let Paige ruin it, we are going to photograph a such important game in our career it's going to be amazing" Sarah said "you're right" I said with a sad tone "But when do you plan on hearing her side?" Sarah asked "I don't know, maybe after Iowa" Sarah looked at me with a shocked face "It's a kind of a long time right? Azzi told me that she is depressed" Sarah let out a fake laugh, with a tone kind of a worried for Paige, because in the end she is also her friend "I know...im not really mad at her, like, we weren't dating I can't be mad at her im just disappointed, but it's more about me you know? I want to give myself some time before I listen to her, to know what I really want." I said sipping my coffee "um,I see, but..." Sarah said stopping "what?" I said "I think she didn't did it on purpose, I know I shouldn't defend her but she really likes you, and she texted me beging you to talk to her" we talked a little more about Paige and other things, and left the mall.

The sun was already setting, I was in my room 'Lover' my favorite Taylor Swift album playing in the background and I was packing my bags to go to Iowa, and thinking about Paige was just making me nervous. I finished packing and dicided to cook to calm down, I put on my AirPods and started, I grabbed the ingredients and in almost 30 minutes the brownies were ready. "Humm what is that smell?" I jumped because a 'different' voice came into the dorm "Oh my god Nika you scared me" "Sorry" Nika laughed coming over to me and hugged me "How are you?" "Good...you know, trying to figure it out" Nika nodded "you better do this quick, Paige is killing me and Azzi" she spoke quietly, but today wasn't a day to think about Paige so I ignored it "I made brownies" I said "Finally! I love your brownies" "Thanks niks, here take them" I laughed "Im going to tell Sarah that its ready" I said going to Sarah's room but Nika stopped me "Annie" She yelled and I looked back "Sarah is with KK, I think she texted you" "oh..." I looked at my phone:

"We could watch a movie, what do you think?" Nika said "Sure, what movie?" "Your choice" Nika replied sitting next to me "have you ever watched Mamma Mia?" I asked Nika "No, it's a good movie?" I couldn't belive Nika had never watched Mamma Mia, after Frozen Mamma Mia is my favorite "No way, you've never watched it?We HAVE to watch it right now!" "Can you braid my hair while we watch it?" "Sure come sit here" I made room for Nika to sit closer to me.

I ended my night braiding Nika's hair and watching Mamma Mia, Nika eating her brownies and talking to me about the movie, I was also singing along to all the songs in the movie. Im so grateful to have friend like that.

finally a special chapter about Annie and Sarah, the next one will be from Paige's POV.

I was looking at the first chapters of this story, my god they were a mess, I think I've evolves a lot. I'm having so much fun writing it that I'm not ready to start writing the end LOL.
