Chapter 12 : Poor pasta.

"Well, he's kind of late." Steve said, referring to Aaron as he checks the time on his watch.
"He didn't skip school today, did he?" Laurel asked.
"No, we had class together this morning and he was there." Ethan replied.
"He should be here any minute then." Steve said, shrugging.
Lunch has started ten minutes ago and we all normally gather at lunch, Aaron however, still hasn't showed up.
"Oh, there he is." Rose said, pointing at Aaron who just walked in.
He's grinning like a little kid on a Christmas morning and it's the cutest thing ever.
I mean it's not cute.
Yes it is.
Shutup!
"The look on your face has me thinking you just had some good time in the janitor's closet with a female." Steve said, smirking as Aaron approached the table.
There was a place next to Ethan who's sitting across from me, which is closer to Aaron than the other empty seat next to me.
Aaron still turned around the table all the way and took the seat next to me.
Okay..
"No I wish, but I did really well on the chemistry test." Aaron said, smiling proudly.
"Really?" I said, my face lightning up since I had tutored him for hours.
"Yeah!" Aaron exclaimed, still smiling.
"That's amazing, thanks to your incredible tutor." I said, flipping my hair, causing some of the guys to laugh.
"Oh no, it's thanks to the smart boy sitting in front of me who can't seem to cover his paper properly." Aaron said.
I gasped, "After the three hours of let's-torture-Ellie yesterday, you ended up cheating?"
"Yes." Aaron replied in a small voice, sounding scared.
He better be scared, this dumb asshole.
"Aaron, say goodbye." I said calmly.
"Huh?" Aaron said, furrowing his eyebrows together in confusion.
"You have like, approximately," I pretended to count on my fingers, "less than ten seconds in this world."
"Oh..." Aaron said, moving away slightly.
"Nine." I said wickedly.
"Wait-" Aaron said covering his face with his hands to protect himself, I guess.
"Eight."
"Seriously-" Aaron said, giving me a disbelieved look.
"Seven." I completed, smiling.
"Ellie!!" Aaron stood up at this point.
He's really scared, oh my god.
This is hilarious.
"Six!" this time Ethan said it, a bit too loudly may I add.
I laughed. "That's the spirit, now, five."
Aaron crossed his arms over his chest and started pouting.
"I just cheated on a question or two, it is not the end of the world." Aaron tried to explain.
But everyone was not having it as we all started counting together grabbing the attention of some students.
"Four."
"Three."
Steve caught my eye and then he looked down at the pasta that Aaron has got for himself.
Yep, that pasta is going into Aaron's face.
"Two."
"One."
Aaron ran across the table but I was just as quick as him on my feet as I poured the pasta all over him.
The guys started laughing, Ethan filming this whole thing.
I covered my mouth with my hand to surpress my laughter and shock that I just did that.
Aaron only gasped and looked down at his clothes which are now covered in his own pasta.
Poor pasta.
"I can't believe you just did that." Aaron said, finally looking at me.
I can't believe we're not getting detention yet.
This time I laughed. Really loud. And when my laughter died down a bit I said, "Sorry?"
Aaron only grabbed a handful of the pasta on his head and looked at me evilly.
Oh hell no.
I started walking backwards slowly.
"No, Aaron, you wouldn't." I said.
"Oh I would." Aaron stated as he threw the pasta on my freaking white hoodie.
I gasped.
"YOU BITCH." I exclaimed, grabbing a tissue from my backpack and furiously wiping it to remove the pasta.
"You're only.. making it.. worse." Steve said in between his laughter.
It's true. It looks even worse now.
Every person by now is staring at us, and I literally found one girl filming us.
Not creepy at all.
Aaron passed by me laughing. "I'll go clean up."
"I'm coming with you." I said, grinning.
I admit that was so much fun.
And gross.
Aaron and I walked together to the bathroom, well, until we had to separate since the women's bathroom is across the boys.
Notice how I claimed us as women and called them boys? It's the most logical truth.
Aaron pulled out his middle finger at me before he walked in the bathroom.
I just laughed as I walked in and started wiping some water on my hoodie.
How did this happen again?
Oh right, Aaron admitted to cheating on the chemistry test.
What a hypocrite, you cheat sometimes when you really need to.
As I walked out of the bathroom, I found Aaron standing by one of the lockers, waiting for me.
I think.
"Who's the poor soul that has his locker next to the bathrooms?" I said laughing.
I mean really, it's gross, bathrooms don't necessarily always smell good.
"I know." Aaron laughed back as he pushed himself away from the locker.
"There's five more minutes till lunch ends, do you wanna go back?" Aaron asked me.
"No not really, I'll just pick up some books from my locker, do you wanna go back?" I asked Aaron as I already started walking to my locker.
Aaron walked next to me, "Naaah, it's not worth it."
I nodded as I kept walking.
We walked in silence for a couple seconds before Aaron said, "Hey Ellie, I tried to write down the questions that came on the test, trying so hard not to get caught," Aaron chuckled before he continued, "but you were worried and I just figured you needed them."
Oh my god, I'm gonna melt and I don't even know why.
I stopped walking and so did Aaron.
"Oh my god, you really didn't have to, I was joking." I said, smiling at Aaron.
"Well, I got them anyways." Aaron said nervously.
"Thank you." I said still smiling as I added, "I feel really bad."
"About what exactly?" Aaron asked, laughing slightly.
"About cheating after I accused you of cheating and because you risked getting caught for me." I answered sheepishly.
"No, that's okay." Aaron said.
"Here." He added as he handled me a small post it with a really small handwriting.
"There's some questions that I could't write because there wasn't much time.." Aaron said, apologetically.
"Oh no it's okay, the fact that you'd even write one is amazing, thank you." I said, grabbing the little note from Aaron's hand.
Aaron sighed, "You gotta stop thanking me Oreo."
I giggled, "Sorry, can't help it."
The bell rang.
"Oops! Never got to my locker at the end." I said as students started filing out of everywhere.
Aaron just laughed.
And even though I walked around the whole day with a somewhat orange stain on my white hoodie, I couldn't help but think it was worth it.
