Chapter 42 : When will she shut up?

*******************************************

I'm throwing up and Aaron is holding my hair.

How fun..

I'm not going to say I'm never drinking again, we all know I probably will at some point, just not any time soon.

I finally finish my throwing up fit and wipe my mouth. This is embarrassing.

"How much did I drink last night?" I asked Aaron, groaning as I stood up and walked to the sink to clean myself.

"I have no idea, but you were looking for the sun, if that helps." Aaron stood behind me, laughing.

"No I wasn't." I replied in horror and then splashed some water on my face.

"You even said you're a free biscuit and you were swaying all night." Aaron went on to explain.

"If you're lying to me because I can't remember, please don't, just tell me what really happened." I told Aaron as I brushed my teeth with an extra toothbrush he had.

"I swear to god, I'm not lying." Aaron laughed.

I finish brushing my teeth, "God, that's so embarrassing."

"Is this your first time being drunk?" Aaron asked.

"Yes, can't you tell I feel like shit?" I answered and then I adverted my eyes to the mirror and regretted it immediately.

"Oh my god, I look so dead." I gasped as I stared at my smeared makeup, my red lipstick is all gone now.

I turnex the faucet back on and started washing my face. I look like a zombie.

"You look beautiful, Oreo." Aaron said and I smiled at him.

What a hot liar he is.

"Awww, stop lying." I replied, throwing my hair in a bun.

"I'm not lying, my hoodie looks better on you than it ever has." Aaron crossed his arms and smiled at me sheepishly.

I grinned and subconsciously fidgeted with the hems of the hoodie as I blushed.

The moment I woke up, I started screaming in Aaron's face, he was sleeping on the floor next to me and he woke up surprised.

I thought I had done something with him, and when I saw his hoodie on me, I was literally panting in horror.

Aaron was quick to explain what happened last night and by the end of his statement, I found myself throwing up and my headache intensifying.

"I'll just get you some painkillers." Aaron said, pulling me out of my thoughts as I nodded and he headed outside his room.

Holy fuck, I'm in his house now. The one where his mom hooks up with different people.

I'm also very uncomfortable because I've slept with my bra.

Let's just be thankful my drunk self didn't decide to take it off, throw it around, and scream 'I'm a free woman'.

I made my way to Aaron's bed and sat down as I stared around at his room. The picture frame of him and Mason caught my attention.

Aaron looked to be younger, like it was taken a few years back, and he was smiling as he held Mason's arm.

My heart warmed at the picture and then I noticed the other frame, that had a picture of a grown up man in a suit. He looks just as great as his son, I'm assuming that's Aaron's dad.

Aaron returned with a glass of water and some pills.

"Thank you." I smiled softly at Aaron as I took the water and painkillers from him and was quick to swallow them.

This headache is a piece of shit.

"I want to ask you something." Aaron said, running his hand through his hair nervously.

"Sure." I nodded my head and pulled my phone out of the charger next to me in order to remind myself that I need to text my mom back.

"Last night, you said something about Brad wanting to hook up with you, is that true?" Aaron finally asked and I bit my lip awkwardly.

Jesus, what else did I blurt out yesterday?

Even though Brad was extremely rude, I won't go around telling everyone about this.

But Aaron asked and Aaron is not everyone, he's different and I trust him.

"No, that wasn't the case," I chuckled, "umm, okay I'll explain to you."

Aaron nodded waiting for me to continue, "He just said that he likes me, but I assumed he wants to hook up for two reasons, one, we don't know each other, two, he was so rude and started speaking crap when I rejected him."

Aaron clenched his jaw, "Should I talk to him?"

"Oh no, please don't, I'm sure he's finally out of our lives." I sighed in relief.

Aaron just nodded and said nothing.

I took that as an opportunity to tell Aaron that I should go home.

Aaron nodded his head, "I'll drive you."

"No, I'll take an-"

"You're not gonna take an Uber." Aaron said, not leaving room for argument.

I nodded, "I'll just get changed."

"Even though my hoodie looks so good on you." Aaron said and I did that thing I always do when I blush and look down.

I blushed even more when I saw Aaron's eyes on my legs.

We didn't say anything and then Aaron cleared his throat, "I'll just wait for you outside." He said and left the room.

I changed into my dress again, trying to form a lie to tell my parents once they see me in it. I had already left some clothes at Rose's that I can wear when I go back home but now I have nothing.

Whatever, I'll just walk it through. It being the lie.

When I left Aaron's room I wasn't expecting what I found.

A woman who appeared to be in her forties or late thirties, was standing in front of Aaron, flailing her arms out everywhere.

I immediately knew that was his mom, and I took a step back.

There was a bottle of beer on the table next to her, half of it empty in the freaking morning.

What really clenched my heart was Mason standing in the far corner looking around in confusion, his eyes glistening with tears.

I felt like I was interfering, but I had no idea where to go, so I figured I should quietly make a move back to Aaron's room.

Just as I turned my back around a voice spoke, "Who is she?" Aaron's mom was asking.

I turned around hesitantly and tried to smile kindly at her, "Uh, my name is Ellie, I'm Aaron's friend from school, nice to meet you."

Aaron's mom placed her hand on her hip and just raised her brows at me. "Aaron's friend who sleeps around with him?"

My eyes widened in shock as to how she spoke to me. And what a hypocrite can she be?

"Mom, stop." Aaron said from beside her, glaring at her as I just stood there, not knowing what to say.

I know Aaron is supposed to drive me home, but it doesn't seem like he will be able to anymore. I will just call someone to pick me up.

"I should really get going.." I said awkwardly, ready to head to the door.

"You expect me to buy that you're just friends when she slept with you clearly the entire night?" Aaron's mom asked Aaron and Aaron's eyes darkened.

He's really mad and she just keeps on pushing him over the edge.

"I'm really sorry, Aaron was helping me out yesterday and he was nice enough to allow me to stay here, he slept on the floor by the way so that I can have the bed, we didn't do any of what you're assuming, now excuse me because I need to go, I have a mom who is worried about me." I said angrily and used the last line as a sort of shade towards her and her shitty ways of being a mom.

"Wait, I'm driving you." Aaron said, but before I got the chance to reply, this crazy woman started talking once again.

When will she shut up?

"You're driving this bitch places now." She said, slurring, and I now realized that she's drunk.

I just sighed not knowing how to handle this, I've never been put in a situation as horrible as this before.

I caught sight of Mason again and he had his hands covering his ears with his eyes closed.

Aaron didn't say anything to his mom as he dashed towards Mason and took a hold of him then walked over to me and said, "Come on."

We walked to the door as his mom kept on spewing a bunch of bullshit and made our way outside.

We walked silently to the car and then Aaron secured Mason in the backseat, and walked over to me.

"I'm so sorry you had to see that, and I'm sorry for what she said." Aaron said, looking at me seriously.

"Don't be crazy, it's not your fault, I'm sorry that I was that irresponsible last night and had you take me to your house." I replied, shaking my head. I'm really stupid.

"No no, you have the right to do what you want, I'm the one who got you here, I thought she said she wasn't going to be home in the morning, I don't know why she's here." Aaron argued, running his hand through his hair frustratingly.

"Whatever, let's just forget it happened." I sighed and got into the car.

Aaron got in as well and the second he sat down, he gasped, "Did you really just walk all the way with no shoes?"

I laughed awkwardly, "Yeah.."

"Oh my god," Aaron said, "we left too fast, I didn't even notice."

"It's okay!!" I said reassuringly, "I barely noticed too."

I really didn't think of anything up there except for ways of escaping the damn house.

"Mason, give me the heels next to you." Aaron told Mason, extending his arm to the back.

Mason gave Aaron my heels and he handled them to me.

"Thank you." I muttered, and then started putting them on.

I told Aaron to drop me off at Rose after he dropped Mason off at their aunt's house. I don't think I'll have any lie to use for my parents, I'd rather be home late than tell them the truth.

"Are you okay?" I asked, upset about what Aaron has to go through.

"Yeah, don't worry." Aaron smiled, but it felt too forced and everything felt too wrong.

"I'm really not upset about what happened at all, please don't think I am, and I'm so thankful you were there last night before I threw up on someone's porch." I said, trying to lighten up the situation.

Aaron laughed a little, "You're the best drunk I've ever seen."

"Blah blah blah." I mimicked Aaron, rolling my eyes.

"Thank you for the ride," I added, "I'll see you Monday?"

"Yes." Aaron said, grinning at me and it warmed my heart.

His smile is so damn perfect.

When I walked to Rose's house that morning, I didn't know I would be seeing Aaron way before Monday.
