"Do you like the food?" Aaron asked, beautifully staring at me. He's too pretty. Is pretty used for boys? It should be used for Aaron.
"I love it." I nodded my head, shooting Aaron a smile, as we chewed on our food.
We loved the view of the restaurant. It overlooked an enormous lake, and the weather was nice today.
"This is like, Mason's favorite food." Aaron informed me, and I raised my brows.
"We should of brought him with us." I pouted and Aaron chuckled, giving me an incredulous look.
"This is our first date, and you want to drag my little sibling with us?" Aaron said and I shrugged.
"You know how much I love him, I miss him by the way. You should let me see him soon!" I exclaimed and Aaron grinned.
"I love him too, that annoying little bitch." Aaron replied sarcastically and I laughed.
"For real though, you guys have an amazing relationship!" I exclaimed and Aaron gave me a somewhat sad smile.
"Yeah, you know with everything that happened, I felt responsible for him in a way, and I had to get us closer." Aaron replied and I nodded, a frown forming on my face.
Aaron never really shared much about the whole incident of his dad passing away, and sometimes I do get a little curious. "Does Mason.. y'know, realize everything that happened?"
"Yes, but he doesn't sense how much of a big deal it is yet because he's still young, and I don't want him to deal with all this shit growing up, that's why I'll try being there for him always." Aaron explained and I nodded.
"But your mom is getting better now, with you guys and everything, right?" I replied and Aaron shrugged.
"I guess she is. But she's not quite there yet, Mason still tells me things going on in his school, he never thinks about going to her first." Aaron responded.
"Were the guys like, always involved?" I asked Aaron, referring to the boys since they were known for being friends since middle school.
"Oh yes," Aaron was quick to respond, "in a way, they were extremely sad for a good period of time over dad, because, they knew him too. They were definitely involved and they took care of Mason, and so did their parents like, during the funeral."
"I hope you guys stay best friends, like always." I said and Aaron grinned.
"Maybe when Ethan grows up, we can decide on that." Aaron said and I threw my head back, laughing.
"Hey! Stay away from Ethan, he's a sweetheart." I replied and Aaron rolled his eyes, smiling afterwards.
"You haven't really told me anything about your dad, if you don't mind, you can tell me stuff!" I said and Aaron sipped on his water.
"Are you really interested?"
"Oh my god Aaron, ofcourse, I can't believe you're even pondering over that!" I said and Aaron smiled at me warmly.
"Well, for starters, I look more like him than mom. When he was young, he had my hair, which I know you love." Aaron wiggled his brows and I giggled.
"I'll forever be thankful for him over that." I said and Aaron leaned his head forward for me to touch his hair and I obliged happily, excitedly.
Aaron ended up letting me in on some sweet things about his dad, and occasionally some stuff about his mom too. The food they like, his dad's jokes, and how they constantly argued over which of them taught Aaron how to ride a bike properly. I loved getting a deeper insight on Aaron's childhood, which he apparently experienced very nicely.
Aaron and I spent about two to three hours in the restaurant and once we were finished with our food, we took a small walk around the area we were in.
"Can we please take a picture now!!" I groaned and Aaron huffed.
"Okay." Aaron stopped walking, finally giving in to my convincing of the past three hours for us to take a picture.
I pulled my phone out as I giggled and extended my hands upward to snap the selfie. Just then, Aaron pulled me closer by my waist and we smiled into the picture.
When I put my phone down happily, Aaron told me we should snap another one. But before we did, he kissed me on my cheek, shooting tingles through my entire body, and even though I felt like my world stopped for a moment and I was squealing inside over how cute that was, I snapped the picture on time purposely and caught that.
"These are too cute!" I kept squealing all the way back home over the picture.
Once Aaron drove me back home, which was early since we decided to skip bowling, he walked me to the door.
"You don't have to be so cliche, you know." I said teasingly, once we reached the front porch.
"I know that. But you told me before that you love cliche stuff like someone walking you to the house door, remember?" Aaron replied and I swear the fact that he remembers when I said that drives my heart places.
"So it's not because you wanna check that I'm okay and safe inside?" I crossed my arms, jokingly, and Aaron rolled his eyes.
"Come here." He said, wrapping his arms around my back and pulling my front to his.
I was quick to respond and wrapped my hands around Aaron too, and we just hugged each other for a moment.
"I found a beautiful poem online that I'm gonna text you, I know you love poetry." Aaron murmured and I grinned at the fact that Aaron's sending me a love poem, and that I'll be able to send him love playlists now.
I pulled my head back a little from Aaron's chest, so that I can look at his face when I talk. Our arms were still secured around each other.
"I'm probably gonna cry over it." I said and Aaron chuckled.
"Thank you so much for making today special, like every other day." I continued and Aaron shook his head.
"Don't mention it, I didn't do anything." Aaron replied and I argued.
"No really, I had so much fun. I love you so much, Aaron." I said, and Aaron didn't seem to expect that as he widened his eyes a little, and then upon realizing that I casually said I love him, he grinned and replied.
"I love you, Ellie Rosell. I love you more than anything in this world. I love that you're mine." Aaron said and I laughed at how extra we are.
"I wanna say goodnight, but I know we'll stay up texting." I said.
"I wanna kiss you." Aaron said and I blinked. I don't really think he has to inform me.
"So do I." I said and Aaron quickly kissed me. A sweet thirty seconds long kiss.
I can't believe how addicting Aaron's kiss is. Is that creepy or normal? Do people feel this way when they kiss someone they truly love?
Man, I definitely did not love Colton. Kissing him was just natural, but nothing compared to Aaron's kiss.
Kissing Aaron is so passionate, so strong, and it makes me overwhelmed with every emotion possible.
Aaron and I sighed after the kiss and I pulled back.
I went to the door and pulled my keys out as I waved at Aaron.
"I love you, Oreo!" Aaron yelled as he walked to his car and my mouth dropped open.
"Shhhh, the neighbors will hear you." I whispered loudly, and Aaron shrugged.
"Let them hear!" Aaron exclaimed, standing by his car, "to everyone living here," Aaron screamed even louder than before and I covered my mouth in shock, "I love Ellie Rosell!"
Aaron winked at me afterwards, and I looked around uneasily.
Eh, it wouldn't hurt.
"I love you too!" I yelled and Aaron started laughing as I quickly got in the house and hid away.
I heard Aaron's sweet laugh very slightly, followed by the sound of his car driving away and I sighed, shaking my head. He's crazy. My crazy.
As I turned around and greeted my parents, my dad was quick to point out, "Everyone heard you. Teenage love is weird."
"Okay, bye." I replied and raced up to my room, in embarrassment as mom laughed downstairs.
My dad wasn't this chill with boys before, and the fact that he is now makes me feel uneasy!
Crawling into bed that night, I checked Aaron's text. The poem he sent me.
"we lay on the grass under the sky
on a very cold november night
our eyes chased the stars
and made wishes upon
'don't tear us apart'
we've already been torn before
i felt the overwhelming sensation when you wrapped your arms around me
you'd locked me with you forever
& when you pressed your lips against mine
i felt the tingles in my bones, warming me
like kids we giggled afterwards
spreading our love through the swift wind
it flew upwards high and higher
with no plans of settling back down
ever again"
As expected, I wiped my tears away as I thought about Aaron.
We texted for hours. And I slept in so much peace and comfort, more than I'd ever have before.
