Chapter 2:

I encountered it again when Clemmie was on a mission and I was the one who had to coordinate the squad from his office. It is the only place with access to outside information and I had to make sure no entities would get to them.

Talking about entities, I had one at my door.

I was nervous.

I could feel its green emerald eyes gazing at me. What was it looking at exactly? My soul? What did it want from me? My flesh? Now I know it didn't want any of that, but it felt ominous. In my eyes, it was just standing there...menacingly.

I stayed focused on the mission and my squad. But I could feel its presence on my left. I tried to look at it, I tried to know what kind of shape it had.

It was all black, I couldn't even tell if I was looking at the shadows of the corridor or at its body. Perhaps it was very thin, or it was just two eyes, or maybe it was much bigger than just the corridor. I couldn't tell. And even now I still don't know exactly how big or small it is.

I was surprised it didn't do anything. It was just there and that was enough to make me fear it.
