Chapter Forty Six

And on a beautiful morning. The twins are taken in. The twins that will change everything.

Chris and Emma. The Dickisons.

And minutes after their arrival. Chris and Emma start their fires. For the two meet Lukas and Elisabeth. The two lovers. At the hallway.

And there everything changes.

For when Elisabeth sees Chris. She lets go of Lukas's hand. And runs. Like she has seen. Someone she had lost ages ago. Yet retrieved again.

And she runs to him. Hugs him from the bottom of her heart. He hugs her back. So happy at the world. He lifts her up. His hands all over her.

Just when they let go of each other. Chris Dickison grabs her. Elisabeth Simpson. By her waist. And pulls her in. He pulls her in for a kiss.

It's a beautiful kiss. His lips are sweet on hers. Her body gives in to him. More than it had ever given in to another.

And Lukas sees it. He sees what he cannot believe. How she wraps her arms around this new boy. How she kisses him back.

Hadn't she said that she doesn't like that? Doesn't she like kissing? His heart falls back. He walks away. Not turning his back to them.

He walks back. He wants to face away. But he can't. He takes blind steps back. Until he hits onto someone. A girl. It's Allison Parker.

Why is she here? Why is she near them? What is Allison Parker doing here?

She looks scared. Allison Parker looks troubled. But why? Lukas does not speak to her. He has no voice left to speak. But Allison has a voice to speak. And she speaks less today.

"Chris... Emma!" She murmurs. She knows them. Why does she know them? Why does she know Chris and Emma? Who are they to her? Who are they to Elisabeth?
