And on that same night. Chris sits with Elisabeth. She knows him. She remembers him. But she does not remember anything they did together.
She knows she loves him. But she does not remember how they came to be. How did this happen? She wants the answers. So she asks.
"How did we meet? Why don't I remember?"
"We met when you were young. We fell in love when we were young. Until something separated us." Chris Dickison says.
"What separated us? Tell me! What happened to me? Why don't I remember?" She cries.
"I cannot tell you. But I know what will make you remember." Chris says. "What?" She asks.
"We'll drive out of town. I must show you something." Chris says. "But tomorrow it's a school day. We might get home late." Elisabeth says.
"We won't. Trust me." He tells her.
And on that night the they hit the road. To the neighbouring town. Lanceville. Where another secret shall be revealed.
They drive to a broken bridge. And move out of the car. The moon above lights their way. It is a full moon. And it shows the broken bridge above them.
And the shimmering waters below their feet.
"What is this place?" She asks. "Keep calm. Look at the broken wood of the bridge. Do you remember anything?" Chris asks.
She looks at the bridge. Up above her. And a faint sound comes into her mind. The sound of breaking wood. Crashing wood. And a faint image forms in her mind.
She sees herself. In a car. One that is travelling down this road. And the car stumbles. And hits the side of the bridge. And down it goes.
But the image fades. That's all she recalls. And it burns her soul. She does not know what she has seen. She does not remember when this happened.
It shocks her.
"When did this happen? Please tell me!" She cries.
"I will explain everything. But first... Go to your basement the first thing when we go back home. Go search in the old box hidden at the farthest corner. You will find the answer." Chris says.
