Chapter Fifty Nine

At lunchtime. When Lukas now sits with Elisabeth. He is here to tell her. What he thinks will save her.

And break her at the same time.

So he starts. "I know you know the truth. You know you are not living with your true parents.

I searched for the truth. And I know it. And I will tell you all of it. I will free you of all your troubles."

Elisabeth feels a shift. In her emotions. She wonders who this new Lukas is. This is not the boy she once accidentally kissed.

She wants to know the truth. Who she is.

"Some years back. You fell in love with a boy. His name was Chris Dickison. You had a family at that time. A father. A mother. And a sister.

Your sister was jealous of you. Because you had taken the boy she wanted. She would do anything to get him back. And she tried.

But all her efforts did not work out.

So she decided to do the one thing that she knew would end it all. To separate the family. So she searched for a day. When you and your parents were going out. And she remained. For she had sent for people to ruin the car.

And at Lanceville. Your car broke down at that broken bridge. Your father died. But your mother survived. And she was taken to the hospital. As for you... Your sister stole you.

And took you to Uncle Tom.

He who changed your beauty. He who took your memories. And gave new ones. That you might not know who you are. And you were given a new life. One which would keep you away from everyone.

Your twin sister ended your life. In the name of love." Lukas tells her.

And Elisabeth breaks down. Elisabeth cries. She does not know whether to believe him. But she has to. And she wants to know one last thing.

"Who is my sister? Who is my twin sister? Who is my mother? Please tell me. Where are they?"

And Lukas answers. He is not hiding anything from her. "You twin sister is Allison. Allison Parker. And your mother is Hellen Parker. The one Ms. Hellen we have here."

It is the worst realisation. Elisabeth can't believe it. It is so much to take in. Why would a sister want to destroy a fellow sister? For love?

What is love? That it changes people so much?
