Chapter 18 What a Pair of Siblings!
âThe Nelsons outrank most of the families. You have power and money, and I can gain a lot from bringing the blessing. If Young Master Remi recovers, Madam Nelson will pay me big time. Why wouldnât I take the job?â
Cecelia wouldnât reveal her true purpose, so in order not to rouse suspicion, she had to downgrade herself into a narrowâminded. woman who came here for money and power.
However, these words came through the ajar door to Remingtonâs ears without a single syllable missing.
Remington got depressed hearing those words.
He had seen it clear before that this woman was harboring some purpose.
She was such a snob, apparently taking this job for the Nelson money and the title of Mrs. Nelson!
Her words didnât rouse Ronaldâs suspicion, and with his lips curving up a smile, Ronald said, âThen take good care of my brother. Iâll pay you much as long as heâs better!â
âThank you, Young Master Ronald.â
âAs for the quarrel thing between Barry, Kalvin, and Andres, Iâve heard about it, and my mother and wife spoiled my kids too much, and my wife sometimes goes too far. I apologize to you on behalf of them. You donât need to take that personally!
Saying, Ronald reached a hand to grab one of her shoulders and secretly gripped it.
He locked his pair of sharp eyes on hers like a hawk targeting its prey.
Did he just paw her the first time he met her?
Was he implying something by that?
Cecelia swayed back her shoulder and smiled lightly, âI get it. I wonât take it personally!â
âAhemâ¦â
At that moment, Remingtonâs intense coughs came out of the room, and Cecelia was urged to go back in.
Before the bed, she asked Jackson Chamber, âDr. Chamber, is Young Master Remi alright?â
Jackson Chamber replied, âYoung Master Remiâs mania is Post-

Ronald Nelson gave a stare at Jackson Chamber, âMuch obliged, Dr. Chamber. Please prescribe some medications for my brother!â Jackson Chamber took out two bottles of medicine from his medical kit, handed them to Cecelia, and told her about the volume.
âOkay, thank you, Dr. Chamber. Iâll keep my eyes on Young Master Remi and remind him to have them!â
âThank you, Miss Linsey, for taking care of my brother. Iâll be back to check on him in a few days!â
After Jackson Chamber checked on Remington and prescribe medications, Ronald had to say goodbye and take him away.
They walked out of the door together, and when they left the Aroma Villa, Ronald whispered and asked, âWhy would Remington wake up for no reason?â
âIâm not aware of that. Iâm also wondering why Young Master Remin grabbed his mind suddenly. Maybe I miscalculated the volume of the potion.
Ronald Nelson exhaled a long sigh and asked, âHow soon will the medicine today take effect?â
âRegularly one month after he takes it.â
âExcellent!â
A sinister hint flickered in Ronaldâs eyes and his lips curved up into a complacent smile.
Remington put on a long face In the main bedroom and felt enraged so long as he imagined the scene and conversation between his brother and Cecelia.
Cecelia didnât realize the man was upset but was scrutinizing the two bottles of medicines Jackson Chamber prescribed.
She took a shot of them and sent it to her assistant Verda Hill to do some searching.
When she didnât talk, the whole room was quiet like no one was there. Yet, Remington shouted, âI need to the bathroom!â
âI heard you. Keep your voice down. Iâm not deaf!â
She placed down the bottles, stood up, and asked, âPee or dump? How are you gonna do it? Need me to carry you there or youâll finish it on your bed?â
âGet outta here and find a guy back!â

âFine!â
Cecelia called in a male family servant to help Remington handle his business.
She didnât avoid them at first, for she wanted to see how the servant helped him, but he didnât want her to see his private parts. He yelled, âLinsey, get out!â
She raised her beautiful eyebrows and talked back, âThereâs nothing to expect. Iâll go!â
Remington, Her words brought hot fury to him.
Nothing to expect?
Cecelia waited and come back until the servant left.
Soon enough, Remington once again yelled out, âI need water!â
She poured a glass of water for him and served him to take a sip, but he deliberately picked on, âToo hot!â
She poured some cool water into the glass, but he continued, âTool cold!â
âToo hot and too cold? Whatâs that supposed to mean?â
She could sense that this mister is releasing his wrath on her.
âI only drink water of 37.5 degrees! No lower or higher!â
Remington thought he made it difficult for Cecelia and she would take it. Unfortunately, she wouldnât.
She poured the water into a bin, and said, âThen you wonât drink it! I donât care how thirsty you are! And when the thirst beats you up, bet youâll drink pee!â
âYou damn woman! How dare you abuse me? You think I wonât kick you out of our family?â
Remington was so angry at the fact that Cecelia didnât react as he predicted.
On top of disobeying him, she dared to challenge him!
âWho dares kick my granddaughterâinâlaw out of our family? Who can take care of you if sheâs gone? I heard about the snake last night, and were it not for Cecelia, youâd be bitten! Now instead of thanking her, youâre going to kick her out?â

A goodâlooking woman followed Madam Nelson when she walked in, and it was Cynthia Nelson, Remingtonâs sister, who opened her mouth, âBrother, you should tame your temper! Or youâll never find a wife for the rest of your life!â
âBeat it!â Remington was rude even to his sister. But in his defense, she had it coming by cursing him that he couldnât find a wife.
âGrandma, look at him. Heâd die alone!â
Cynthia didnât stop but continued, âWhat kind of dumb girl would choose him and even have a baby with him? Oh, such a poor girl!â
It brought a blush up Ceceliaâs cheeks, and she was too embarrassed to admit she was the mentioned poor girl.
Judging from the conversation between the siblings, they must have been in many fights before!
What a pair of siblings!
Cecelia continued, âMadam Nelson, youâre here just in time! Iâm going to talk with you about that snake!â
âWhat on earth is going on?â Madam Nelson asked.
âIâm also wondering how the snake came out of nowhere?â
âThat was a venomous snake from abroad, not local. I suspected that someone was trying to murder Young Master Remi.
Madam Nelson and Cynthia were shocked, and Cecelia added, âMadam Nelson, all we need to do now is find out who sent the snake and catch the murderer!â
âThatâs right. Weâll have to catch the murderer!â
Madam Nelson soon called in Carlos Minton the butler and passed her order, âDig it up. Do not miss any clue and suspects!â
âYes, maâam!â Carlos Minton answered.
Right at that moment, Florence Omar hurried in and reported, âMiss. Linsey, I just found out, the snake was gone!â
âGone?â
Chapter 19 The Perfect Sisterâinâlaw Material Chapter 19 The Perfect Sisterâinâlaw Material The people in the room came out downstairs and Cecelia found that the snake was really gone from where she hung it.
âMadam Nelson, that snake was hanging in the corner of the hall. I kept it as evidence for you to check.
Somehow, itâs gone now.â Cecelia explained.
âBut how was it gone? Who would take it away?â Madam Nelson asked.
Cecelia took a look at the servants around and they were all shaking their heads and saying they didnât see anyone there.
Cynthia looked over at the Villa and said, âBadly, that corner has no cameras, a dead end. We wonât know who took it away.â
âItâs obvious. That person dared to steal that snake during the daytime for only one reason. He or she is guilty and fears Madam Nelson to investigate that case. Therefore, he who stole the snake must be who sent it here!â
That was why Cecelia orchestrated it that way, hanging the snake up there in the corner that cameras didnât cover so that the murderer could steal it away.
It was daytime and the man must be too afraid to let Madam Nelson investigate the case so he stole the evidence, which was why he took risks to do the stealing.
And that was the trap Cecelia wanted that guy to get into.
It was all going according to her plan, and then she could trace that murderer by it.
âYouâre right! Miss Linsey, what a clever girl you are!â
Cynthiaâs eyes shimmered brightly as she found Cecelia not only smart but beautiful and treat Andres well. She was such a perfect Sisterâinâlaw material!
Madam Nelson also credited Ceceliaâs assertation and asked, âWhat are we gonna do to spot that murderer?â
âMadam Nelson, you can go back now. Then, gather all Nelsons at the front lobby and Iâll prove to you how the true murderer is!â
âGreat!â
Madam Nelson agreed, and Cynthia got excited expecting how Cecelia, the female Sherlock Holmes, to grab the tail of that murderer.
Her expectation went high!
Chapter 19 The Perfect Sisterâinâlaw Material 40% 14:53 As the matriarch, Madam Nelson gathered every family member of the Nelsons at the main lobby of the Nelson Mansion with all servants standing outside the gate in lines.
Except for Maria Albert and Lydia Charton who got injured, and Remington who couldnât move, nearly every member was here.
As Cecelia walked into the lobby, she learned how complicated the family network was seeing all the members. Even Samuel Nelson, Remingtonâs father, showed up.
She was told that Master Samuel was running the Nelson International Corp overseas and he barely lived in the mansion during the years.
Cecelia swept her eyes around and received all the attention, which was when Madam Nelson asked, âCecelia, honey, this is everybody. How are you gonna spot that murderer?â
âMadam Nelson, I hung the snake up in the corner of the hall where no cameras cover, so if the snake was stolen away, we couldnât know who did it.
âBut if the murderer thinks he can get away with it, he or she will be so naive! I smeared with some special powder the rope where I hung up the snake, and anyone who took it off must have some on his or her hands.â
âFlip your palms up and let me check them. Iâll give you the murderer!â
Cecelia sounded very certain, and Ronald in the crowd was staring at her, trying to hide his smirk.
Madam Nelson followed and gave her order, âEveryone, flip your palms up and let Miss Linsey check!â
They had to reach out their hands because only doing this could help them get off the suspicion.
Cecelia began to check on them one by one from inside to outside the gate, with no exception.
When she came back, Madam Nelson asked, âWhatâs going on? Did you spot the murderer?â
âI didnât, Madam Nelson. I suspect he must have worn gloves.â Cecelia answered.
Sabrina Nelson sneered, âStop your tricks, better leave the case to the police to crack! You think youâre a detective?â
Cecelia had a look at Sabrina with cold detachment. She ignored the taunt and spoke to Madam Nelson, âMadam Nelson, even if the murderer was wearing gloves, I have a way to find him!â
