Chapter 11: How does one break up with another sweetly

Catra's pov

"Me and Brittany aren't dating but she wants to" I tell them. Okay that was a straight up lie we are dating but I am going to break up with her because I have feelings for someone else. I can hear Adora sigh for some reason and then Sparkles asks me "Do you want to date her". "No not really I have a crush on someone else" I tell her. "Who" She asks. I look over at Adora who has tensed up again and looks shocked and then at Sparkles and say "I'll tell you sometime when we are alone". She nods her head before running at me and dragging me out of her house and into her car. "What the heck Sparkles" I yell at her. "You said you will tell me when we are alone so I am taking us someplace away from here" She tells me. "YOU COULD HAVE JUST ASKED ME TO COME WITH YOU. IF YOU WEREN'T MY FRIEND I WOULD HAVE PUNCHED YOU OR WORSE." I yell at her. "Well lucky me I guess" She says as she starts snickering. I roll my eyes and say "Where are we going". "Somewhere away from here" She deadpanned. I snickered and said "OKAY Sparkles."

10 minutes later

Sparkles pulled up to this cafe looking place. "Were here" She says as she turns off her engine. We get out and walk in. "Hey Glimmer" a voice calls. I had no idea who it was and I was fangirling over all the Guitars when I heard Sparkles say "Hey earth to Catra". I turned to look at her and another girl who had rainbow hair. "This is my friend and she has agreed to let you try out a guitar" she said. "REALLY" I say louder than I wanted to and the girl with rainbow hair nods her head. I grab this pure black guitar with a red line down it. I start plucking the strings to make sure they are in tune and start playing. When I play I feel like I am in a whole different world. I block out everything while I am playing. It is the only thing that brings me peace, complete and total peace. I finished playing. I opened my eyes and I see Sparkles and Rainbow hair girl with their mouths open. Sparkles had her phone out and when I noticed that I said "Did you recorde me". She nodded and said "I am sending it to the group". "NO NO NO DON'T DO THAT" I yelled at her. "Why, you were amazing" She asked genuinely confused. Rainbow hair backed her up and said"Yeah you can sing and play amazingly" She hands me a flyer and says "You should join." Sparkles looks at me with pleading eyes. "I will join if you do not send that to the group and instead they come to see me perform live." I say. She nods her head up and down as fast as humanly possible. The rainbow haired girl looks at me and says "You can use that for the contest". "REALLY" I ask with my eyes widening. She smiles and says "Yup, and if you win you can have it". My eyes widen and I look down at the guitar. It is way better than the one I have. "Deal" I say, handing her the guitar. "Deal" she says smiling. She waves goodbye, turns around, and puts the guitar in the back so no one will buy it. Me and Sparkles walk out of the store. I grab her and hug her. She seems shocked but hugs back. "What was that for" She asked me. "It was a thank you for bringing me here it was amazing and now I have the chance to win that amazing guitar." I tell her. She laughs and says "I just wanted to see you play but it looks like you are now in a contest" We got in her car and started driving towards her house. She says "Okay now will you tell me who your crush is?" She turned to look at me. I sigh and say "Yeah I guess". She gets this huge goofy grin and is waiting for my answer "It-it's ..." I mumble. "It's who" she looks at me confused. I take a deep breath and say "It's Adora okay I like Adora" She looks shocked. I feel my face heat up so I bury my head in my hands and say *groans*"I knew this was a bad idea just please don't tell her". She says "Okay" and I look up to see her smiling. "Can you tell me who Adora likes" I ask her, "No" she says, still smiling. We pull into her driveway and go inside by now everyone is gone except Crop top and Adora. I feel out of place and just decided to go and enjoy my day since tomorrow is sunday. I say "I'm going so see ya later guys" And wave as I walk out the door.

Glimmers pov

Catra walked out the door and I heard her motorcycle leave. I look at bow and say "So Bow do you want I mean you don't have to obviously but do you want to be my Boyfriend" I ask him. "Wait you mean it I thought that you were drunk in the tapes and didn't actually mean that I was your crush." He asks me. I nod my head and he says "Of CouRSe I WouLD LOvE to Be YoUR BOyfriENd" He yells and then encases me in a hug. I smile and feel tears start to fall. I had never been so happy in my life. He pulled back and looked at me with a big smile. I had an equally sized one on my face. He wiped my tears and we turned when we heard a squeal. "I am so happy you guys finally got together" Adora yelled. Me and Bow laughed. Then Adora grabbed my arm and pulled up the stairs and into her room. "Whats up" I asked her. She looked at me with begging eyes and said "Who is Catra's crush please tell me". "No," I tell her. She looks down at her feet upset and says "I understand". I go to leave but then decide to say "Adora you like Catra right like really like her" She nods her head. "Then you should tell her how you feel because you know she will give you an honest answer. I mean she is Catra after all" Adora laughs at this and says "Yeah thanks Glimmer". I walk out of her room and back downstairs to be with my Bowfriend. (A/N I AM NOT SORRY and never will be deal with it)

Adoras pov

Glimmer left my room and I started crying. Glimmer wouldn't tell me who Catra's crush was but she did tell me to take a chance. I didn't want my heart to be broken because I really liked Catra but I wasn't the only one because there was Rachel and this Brittany. I know I don't have to worry about Rachel. I doubt they will be friends anymore but Brittany was different. Catra said she didn't like her but she also said she had a crush on someone else. Just thinking about Catra having a crush brought tears to my eyes and a pain in my heart. I am so stupidly jealous of anyone who is near Catra it is stupid and honestly quite sad. I decided that I was going to make my move before prom which was in March and it is August 29 so I have about 5 months and one week to ask her out. That's plenty of time right. I hope it is. Even if it's not I have to figure out how to make her mine. Time to make a plan

Their school starts on August 24 also I changed the party to be on Friday instead of Monday so it is Saturday.

Catra's pov

I was still tired and ever since Sparkles took me to that music store I have been wanting coffee because I thought it was a cafe. I drove to the only coffee place I knew. I went in and ordered a Caramel frappe. I waited a little but eventually got my drink. I was sitting at my table reading in Wattpad when I got a text from the friends till the end group. It consists of everyone. Sparkles had sent a message saying (if you can make it come to ***** at 8 pm on October 22nd) I smiled and sent a text that said (thanks Sparkles). She replied (np). I turned my phone off and finished my frappe. I decided to invite Brittany to the concert too and break up with her after I sang my song so she gets the message. I texted her pretty much the same thing that Sparkles had texted the group. I sent a message to the friends till the end chat saying (just in case I need a partner for like a duet or something can any of you sing?). I turned my phone off and decided to go home. Oh boy was I in trouble. I just hoped she wasn't there.

20 minutes later

I pulled up into the driveway and parked my bike on the side of the house. I walked up to the door and took a deep breath. I opened the door and saw a tall figure with an angry expression. She pulled me into the house and closed the door. She turned to me and started yelling "YOU WENT OUT ON FRIDAY FOR A PARTY AND DIDN'T COME HOME UNTIL NOW. IT IS SATURDAY. NOT ONLY DID YOU BREAK CURFEW YOU ALSO GOT MY HOPES UP THAT YOU WOULDN'T COME BACK AGAIN." I looked at her with a blank expression as she went over into the other room and came back with a belt. She wasn't drunk this time so she wouldn't be able to do as much damage as she did last time. She punched me in the face knocking me onto the floor. It didn't hurt, it just stung a little. What hurt is when she started hitting me with a belt. It was always the same with her. She beat me across the back until it drew blood or I blacked out. She would scream "I WON'T STOP UNTIL YOU CRY." I wouldn't cry so she beat me harder. This time she beat me with a black belt while screaming at me that I am worthless, that I don't matter, that I am a waste of life, and that I will never find true love or any love at all. She did that for a solid 5 minutes at least. Then at some point everything went black.

I woke up still at the bottom of the stairs on the ground. I tried to stand up but felt a shock of pain go through my body and I fell back onto the floor. It took a few more times but I finally stood up. I looked into the living room and saw a hand draped of the edge of the couch with a glass bottle in hand. I sighed and walked slowly up the stairs, pain shooting through my body with each step. I reached the top after what felt like forever and opened my door. I fell onto my bed and fell asleep.

Time skip to 2:00 in the morning

I was in a park with Adora. We were sitting on the ground watching the sunset. "Adora" I said. She turned her head towards me and hummed as to say for me to continue. "I like you," I told her. Her smile turned into a face of disgust and she pushed me. She got up and said "I don't want to see you ever again so don't talk to me or any of my friends, got it". She ran away and left me on the ground in tears.

I shot up covered in sweat. I winced in pain. I realized everything that just happened was a dream. Thank god it was only a dream. I got up off my bed and left my room heading to the bathroom. I closed the door and turned on the light. I pulled my shirt up and looked at my back in the mirror. There were several cuts with dry blood around them and it continued running down my back. My eyes widened as I realized there was a word on my back. She burned a word into my back after I blacked out. She had never done this before I was shocked. I grabbed a piece of toilet paper and got it wet. I started wiping off the dry blood, wincing everytime I accidentally hit a cut. When I finished I turned around and looked at my face. My cheek was a little swollen and there was red around the side of my eye. Great now I have to make up some stupid lie to my friends. I decided to tell them I fell off my skateboard and that I would ride my skateboard to wherever we met up to make it more believable. I went back to my room and lied on my stomach going back to sleep.

Adora's pov

I was woken up by the sun shining through the blinds. I groaned and tried to go back to sleep but remembered phase one of my plan. I went onto my phone and sent an email to Bow saying (Can you come over I need to show you something.) I awaited a response. I looked at the time 6:23 it read. I knew Bow was up because he was a morning person. Soon he replied (Sure i'll be right over.) I got out of bed and went into Glimmer's room. I shook her until she woke up. She groaned "What the heck Adora what time is it". "It's like 6:30." I said. She rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. "Glimmer please get up I need your opinion on something and Bow is coming" I said. She turned over and looked at me as if saying she was listening and that I could continue. "I need help with a plan that I made to make Catra mine." She got a big goofy smile on her face, sat up and said "I'm up". I smiled and stood up. She stood up and went down the stairs. I followed her into the kitchen where she was pouring herself a bowl of cereal. I was going to get myself one when we heard a knock on the door. I walked over there and opened it. I saw Bow standing there with a smile on his face. I moved and he walked in. I closed the door and walked into the kitchen where Glimmer was pouring Bow a bowl of cereal. I finished pouring myself a bowl and sat down when Bow asked "So what did you want to talk about Adora." I said "Let's finish our cereal because it's better if I just show you" I told them. They nodded their heads and continued eating. We finished our cereal and put our dishes into the sink before heading upstairs into my room. "Woah Adora, how late were you up last night" Bow asked me. "This would explain all of the groans and talking to yourself last night." Glimmer said. They were both looking at my billboard where I planned how I would get Catra to go out with me. "So phase one is to make sure no one else is after her". Glimmer asks. "Yes I need to know who this Brittany person is" I tell them. "That's easy, we just have to invite her somewhere and ask her" Bow says, whipping out his phone to text Catra. "And done we are going to meet her at Mcdonalds in 30 minutes" He says. We get in the car and go to Mcdonalds.

Time skip 20 minutes

We pull into the Mcdonalds parking lot and park. We all get out of the car and go inside. We sit in a booth next to the window. Glimmer is sitting next to Bow smirking at me. I was confused as to why she was smirking and then it hit me. OH NO. "Glimmer switch me seats" I said. "No," She said. "Why are you doing this to meeee" I whined. "Because you want her to date her first you're going to have to master the art of sitting next to her without getting flustered." I groaned. "LOok There sEe is" Bow yelled pointing out the window. Me and Glimmer turned to look out the window to see Catra on a skateboard getting closer to the entrance. She stops, pops her board up and walks inside. She looks around for us and Glimmer waves her over to our table. When she sees us she smiles and starts to walk closer. As she gets closer I notice her cheek and basically the side of her face are red.

Catra's pov

I walked over to the table where I saw Arrow Boy, Sparkles, and Adora. As I got closer I saw Adora's face turn from a smile to a face of worry. I sat down next to her and glared at Sparkles who just smiled and winked at me. What. The. Actual. Fuck. Sparkles why would you do this and then wink. "W-What happened to you face?" Adora asked snapping me out of my train of thought. "Oh this I just fell off of my skateboard on the way over here." I lied. "Oh okay" Adora says. We started talking about food and what we wanted. Me and Glimmer got into an argument over if cherry pepsi was better or if cherry coke was better. "Cherry Pepsi is way better," I said. "NO Cherry coke is far superior,"Sparkles said. "Can't we just agree to disagree" Adora said, sounding worried. Me and Sparkles turned to look at her and said "NO" at the same time. "Well I think cherry coke is better," Bow said. "Yeah but your obligated to say that now that you're my boyfriend" Glimmer said. "Wait, you two are dating. I knew you liked each other but still" I said. "Since yesterday when I asked him if he wanted to be my boyfriend" Glimmer said looking at me and then back at Adora repeatedly. I gave her the 'Not happening look' and she sighed. "Speaking of relationships, who do you like Catra" Bow said. I sighed and said "You guys are my closest friends so can you keep a secret." They nodded their heads and I continued. "You know I said me and Brittany arent dating" I asked them. They all nodded their heads again. "Well that was a lie" I said. Sparkles mouth dropped open, Crop top looked stunned, and Adora looked upset. "But what I said after that wasn't a lie I am planning on breaking up with her at the contest after my song," I said. "Need some help," Glimmer said. "Sure know any good breakup songs" I asked her. She nodded her head up and down and said "I don't love you by My chemical romance and Adora can be your back up." I looked at Adora who said "Umm yeah sure". "SWEET" I yelled. "Let me just text Lonnie and my friends." I said. "Why" Bow asked me. "Because we are a band." I said. "Wait, you are in a BAND" Sparkles yells. "We were until they all got adopted and we stopped talking. Lonnie is the backup guitarist , I am the lead guitarist and vocals, Kyle is whatever we need, and Rachel is the backup vocals." I say. "Wait, they lived in a foster home," Adora asked. "Yes we all lived in the same one and one by one they got adopted and I just stayed put but I got to move out on the 28th" I said. "Well if you need a place to stay for a while you can stay with me and Adora." Sparkles said. "Wow thanks I have a job but I don't think I would be able to make rent so i might just take you up on that as long as Adora is okay with it" I said turning to Adora who was bright red. "Y-Yeah t-thats f-fine" She said, stuttering as she talked. I got up and hugged Sparkles who hugged me back. I went back to my seat and hugged Adora but she was hesitant to hug me back. "Thank you guys so much even if I don't take you up on it thank you for the offer" I said. "No problem" Sparkles said. "Hey not to ruin the moment but can we order our food?" Bow said. Me and Sparkles laugh. "Yeah I am hungry after all" Sparkles said. She and Crop top got up and went over to the counter. I stood up and looked at Adora who was still bright red. I laughed and she looked at me. "You coming" I said and stretched my hand out for her to take. She turned a darker shade of red but still took my hand. I pulled her up and we joined Sparkles and Crop top with our hands still interlocked.

So how was that maybe Adora and Catra will be getting together soon, maybe they won't I guess you'll find out later. Peace
