Bella's POV
We stood in the parking lot of McDonald's, our bodies glued together. I felt myself melting into his arms, I never want this to stop, I never want to leave his arms.
My eyes were involuntarily slowly coming together, all the tears made me dizzy.
"Bella..." Ashton called, but I was too dizzy to say anything.
"Bella..." He called, his voice dripping with worry.
"Humm" I hummed, as my eyes were closing and my brain was preparing for a lockdown. And with that my eyes shut and I succumbed to sleep.
I woke up, stretching my arms out, I scratched my eyes until my view was less blurry. I looked at the familiar crimson ceiling of my room. How did I get here? Just a minute ago I was with Matt and now I'm home.
I sat up on my bed, looking around. My attention was drawn to the toilet door which shot open and Ashton came out of it.
"You're finally awake" He said, sitting at the edge of my bed, I nodded as all the memories of earlier flooded into my mind.
"Where's Matt?" I asked, avoiding his gaze.
"I don't know, maybe he's still at the restaurant" He said, he sounded a little pissed and it made me happy.
A few moments passed, we were still enveloped in this really awkward and annoying silence, I wanted him to say something, but he didn't.
"I'm going to leave now, bye" He said, standing from my bed and made his way out of my room.
I wanted to stop him and tell him how much I wanted him to stay, but all my muscles were dead, they didn't want to move. It's like they have a mind of their own.
I placed my head on my pillow and let a tear roll down my cheek, as sleep devoured me.
...
"Bella, who was the boy who brought you home today?" My dad asked, curiously.
"Umm... Uhh... H-He's my colleague at work" I stuttered, this is going to be the awkwardest talk I'd ever have with my dad.
"Really? Why did he bring you home?" My dad asked.
"Honey, don't you think you're asking too many questions?" My mum asked.
"No, I don't. Why did he bring you home?" My dad turned to face me.
"Umm... Heâ"
"She's eighteen, you're treating her like a child and I'm sure she might've just fallen asleep at work and he decided to bring her home" My mom said, winking at me. I mouthed 'thank you' to my mom.
"I guess so, but if he tries anything on you he won't get to say his last prayers" My dad threatened, making me giggle.
"Don't worry dad, with her grotesque features no guy would be attracted to her" My little brother laughed.
"I'd slap you right now, but that would be animal abuse" I said to Mason, trying not to let my wrath control my action.
"Mason, Bella! Stop fighting and let's have dinner like a normal family" My mom scolded.
"But we're not normal, that's what makes it fun" My dad said playfully, my mom hit him on his shoulder with a spatula, making everyone on the table erupt with laughter.
"Now I know where Bella got her folly from" My little brother mumbled inaudibly.
"What did you say?" My mom asked holding the spatula towards Mason, Mason put his hand in the air with a sly smile on his face.
"Nothing!" He said, quickly.
"Let me tell you guys a story" My dad insisted.
"If it's about how you met mom, dad we've heard it a million times" Mason groaned, pouring himself some water.
"It's about how I fell in love with your mother," My dad said.
"What's the difference?" Mason asked.
"Ok, ok! Just tell the story" I said, knowing my dad and brother they won't stop arguing until one of them wins the argument.
"I was in my first year of university when I met your mother, I was studying business while your mom was studying pharmacy. She looked so pretty with herâ"
"Ocean blue eyes, brown curly hair and black rimmed glasses" My brother and I said in unison.
"Yes! She was very annoying at the time, although she looked very sweet and kind" My dad said, earning a slap on the shoulder from my mom.
"I only behaved that way to you becauseâ" My mom said, but my dad immediately interrupted.
"You love me" My dad finished, and my mom blushed slightly.
"No! Because you always stepped on my toes" My mom said, taking a bite out of her slice of pizza.
"It wasn't my fault you wore flip-flops to school" My dad said, defending himself.
It's official, I have the weirdest parents ever.
...
"Hello! We're home!" Liana and Aubrey sang as they entered my home.
"How are you girls?" My dad asked, as they sat on the floor of the living room.
"We're good, although life hasn't been treating us right lately" Aubrey said, making herself comfortable on the floor.
"It's the price you pay for growing up," My dad said, his eyes focused on the television.
"I'm going to the kitchen" Liana announced, and I followed her and so did Mason.
Liana took a snack from the pantry she sat on that kitchen slab and started eating it.
"Finally I get to eat chocolate" Liana moaned at the taste. Liana's parents never let her eat chocolate or anything sweet, all in the name of 'it's bad for your teeth.'
"Don't forget to brush your teeth after, if you want I can lend you my toothbrush" Mason said, since I introduced Mason to my friends all he'd ever done is flirt with them, and it's super annoying what's even more annoying is that they find it adorable.
"Don't worry little one, I have a spare toothbrush" Liana said, bringing out the spare toothbrush in her pocket. I guess she came prepared.
"I'm not little, I'm a big boy" Mason said, showing her his so-called muscles that he claims to have.
"Sure you are," Liana said, sarcastically.
"I'm serious, I can make your heart melt with my words" He said, this is the part where Mason starts flirting with her, using his lame pickup lines.
"Try" Liana challenged.
"Are you tired? 'Cause you've been running through my mind all day" Mason said, with a victorious smile on his face. Little does he know that literally everyone has heard that line before.
"Ha, I've heard that one since middle school, it's so freaking old" Liana laughed, earning a frown from my little brother.
"Well, I'm sure this next one will melt your heart" He said in a confident tone.
"Hit me" Liana said, "can I take a picture of you to prove to all my friends that angels do exist" Mason said, that was kinda cute.
"Aww... I liked it, but the thing is I'm no angel, if anything I'm devil's assistant. You'll have to try harder" Liana said, as she continued eating her chocolate.
I grew tired of listening to their conversation so I left for my room, I lay under the blanket and reminisced everything that had taken place today.
I can't believe I admitted that I like him, now things are going to be weird. What if he doesn't like me back?
Argh! Stop thinking about the damned boy!
I threw my pillow at the wall, just in time Aubrey walked.
"Oh... What's wrong?" She asked, as she walked and lay beside me.
"Nothing" I said.
"Nothing? So you're telling me you threw a pillow at the wall for nothing. That doesn't sound like an option, what's wrong?" She said, sitting up.
"Have you ever felt like you shouldn't have done something before?" I asked.
"Regret, everyone has regretted something they've done, but you can't take it back" She said.
I sighed, covering my face with my hands.
"Is it possible to regret falling for someone?" I asked.
"Who is the guy? I know it's not Adrian so tell me who it is!" She squealed.
"It's not a guy," I lied.
"Who is the girl?" She asked.
"It's not a girl, it's a boy," I confessed. "What's his name? Do we know him?" She asked.
"It's... Ashton" I said, burying my head into my pillow.
"Whaâ"
"Hello bitches, the savage is here!" Liana interrupted, as she entered my room.
"Sit down and listen" Aubrey said, immediately Liana sat down and they were both giving me a very disturbing gaze.
"So Ashton right?" Aubrey said, while Liana's eyes widened.
"Yes, it started about two weeks ago" I said, avoiding their stares.
"Are you guys dating?" Liana asked.
"No! Just let me finish" I said, frustrated.
...
"Wow!" Aubrey blinked, surprised. I just finished telling them everything and they're so surprised.
"What are you going to do?" Liana asked.
"I really don't know," I groaned.
"When a boy behaves that way towards a girl it's either one of these things I'm about to say. Firstly, he might like you but is afraid to tell you. Secondly, he might not understand what he's feeling so he's doing whatever seems right to him. Thirdly, he sees you as someone he can play with" Aubrey said.
"I don't know what to do," I said. "It's very simple, just ignore him," Liana suggested.
"No, don't. Just talk to him about it, it's the best way to solve whatever problem is going on with the both of you" Aubrey said.
"It's easier said than done, I don't know how I'm going to talk to him" I said.
"I don't like how you're leaving me out of this talk, I'm your best friend too" Liana complained, Aubrey and I burst out laughing.
"That's because you give really stupid advices, no offense" Aubrey said.
"I'll do what you said, as for now let's stop talking about it" I said, Liana changed the topic.
...
It's Monday which means my day off is officially over. I walked into the diner feeling very scared. I don't think I'm ready to face him yet.
I walked to the counter, when someone pulled me into the staff room and locked the door. I looked up at the person only to find Ashton.
As if he could read my mind the next thing that came out of his mouth made my heart race.
"We need to talk," He said.
