Him: What do you see?
Self: What I see is fear,
And rejection,
Looking back at me.
Him: What I see is faith
And hope,
Holding you together.
Self: In the mirror.
I see less,
Nothing,
But a black hole
Of emptiness.
Him: I see more in you,
Then you see yourself.
I see everything,
A life worth meaning and bliss.
Self: Well I've never seen light in my eyes.
Or felt butterflies,
Disguised as happiness,
Inside my being.
Him: Your eyes,
Reflects the light around you.
They bring butterflies,
To everyone in sight.
Self: How can you see?
That beauty in me?
That sense of worth?
I feel I'm lacking.
Him: Look in the mirror,
See past your fails and doubts.
Look deep and see.
See inside,
Your very being.
And love yourself for its value.
Priceless.
Never forget,
Your worth and value.

This book is dedicated to a Rose.
My best friend and the first person who saw me, for me.
Thank you.
