“Smack!” Evelyn slapped the woman hard, knocking her sunglasses off!

Evelyn couldn’t help it anymore. She thought, “I can put up with anything, but don’t you dare hurt my children!”

“You dare to hit me? I’ll call the police!” The woman screamed, about to attack Evelyn.

“I’ve already called the police.” A low magnetic voice sounded. It was Maximilian who had just arrived.

He looked at the woman with indifference and said, “Furthermore, you slandered my wife. The lawyer’s letter will be delivered later.”

The woman looked at Maximilian in surprise, then noticed the license plate on his luxury car, and her face immediately changed.

“Daddy is amazing!” Zoe hugged Maximilian’s leg and looked up at him. With a soft and gentle voice, she said, “Daddy helped my mommy teach the bad woman a lesson!”

Maximilian couldn’t help but find Zoe’s voice soft and cute, extremely adorable.

He raised his hand and gently rubbed Zoe’s soft hair.

He happened to pass by here after dropping off Ivan and saw Evelyn arguing with someone. Zoe stumbled and ran over, hugging his leg, calling him “daddy.”

At that moment, Maximilian inexplicably followed the two children and came to help.

“I was just saying. Your husband has never shown up.” The woman realized that Maximilian was not easy to mess with, and her voice suddenly softened. “I’ll pay for your car.”

Evelyn ignored her and pulled Zoe off Maximilian’s leg instead, saying, “Zoe, it’s time to go into the classroom!”

“Okay, goodbye, Mommy!”

Hand in hand, two kids walked into the kindergarten.

Evelyn watched as the teacher led the two of them into the classroom. Then she turned around and said to Maximilian, “Thank you.”

Maximilian raised an eyebrow and reached out his hand to her, saying meaningfully, “Finish the

act.”

Evelyn looked at his beautiful hand and couldn’t help but think, “Such a beautiful hand. I really want to take it home as a specimen!”

She reached out and placed her own hand on top of his.

Their palms touched. His warmth and broadness perfectly matched her softness and delicacy. They held hands and got into Maximilian’s car.

Avery had already arrived with people.

Following Evelyn’s instructions, she made the woman write a ten–page apology letter and read it

out loud.

The woman reluctantly took the pen and paper and sat on the roadside, being closely monitored as she quickly wrote.

Maximilian furrowed his brows and closed the car window. He asked Evelyn, “Is this your

idea?”

Evelyn nodded. With profound meaning, she said, “Yes, I hold grudges. I will get back at whoever.
