Chapter 59 âWhatâs the matter?â
Dorothy glanced at Olivia and complained as she sobbed, âLiv spilled her soup on me in fit of rage. Iâm afraid she might hurt hers elf...â
On the other end of the call, John frowned and coldly said, âOkay. Iâll be back.â
After hanging up the call, Dorothy smirked and said, âOlivia, letâs see which of us will get punished.â
She would never let John and Oliviaâs love be rekindled. She would keep the secret from thirteen years. ago and two years ago c oncealed from him.
Olivia watched Dorothy in disbelief. She burst into laughter.
Even though it was the same old trick, she knew John would be fooled again.
orothy was puzzled. âOlivia, how can you still laugh when you know youâre doomed? Johnny will punish you when he comes bac k.â
âYes, and so what? Dorothy, Iâm Mrs. Freeman, and youâre still Johnâs mistress after all youâve done, arenât you?â
Olivia smirked and stared at Dorothy. âAnd Iâm already bored of you being a oneâtrick pony. Do something. else next time.â
Then, without waiting for Dorothy to refute, Olivia lifted her hand and slapped Dorothy.
âDorothy, Iâll make sure you live an annoying life for as long as Iâm alive. I wonât give you the chance to. marry Johnny!â
Dorothy looked stunned. She had not expected Olivia, who was so weak, to hit her..
She covered her burning cheek. Then, she gritted her teeth, wanting to slap Olivia back, but Olivia grabbed her hand before she could.
âYou might have forgotten that I was once famous for my bad temper in Ocean City. Do you need me to help you recall that?â
Then, Olivia slapped Dorothy again. The second slap dumbfounded Dorothy even more.
In the past two years, Olivia had always regarded Dorothy as a friend and treated her respectfully, even. though she had heard r umors about her having an affair with John.
However, she decided to seek revenge when she knew Dorothy had been harming her and interfering in her marriage in every way possible.
After the two slaps, Olivia felt better, but her legs were still weak because she was so exhausted. She had no choice but to sit on the bed.
âOlivia, are you crazy? Do you want to die so badly?â
âYou asked for it.â Olivia sneered.
Dorothy looked at the woman on the bed. Her face was pale, and she was too weak to stand on her own legs. However, her eye s looked fierce, making Dorothy afraid, and she forgot to fight back.
Soon, they heard the sound of the car engine from downstairs.
Dorothy quickly adjusted her expression, and tears flowed down her cheeks. She looked aggrieved and innocent.
Olivia was amazed by Dorothyâs acting skills.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes in âdespair as she listened to the approaching footsteps.
John was there to save his princess... It was too bad that was not her anymore.
âDolly, are you alright?â
Dorothyâs eyes were red, and she bit her lips as she shook her head. âIâIâm fine, but the soup burned my arm a little.â
John glanced at Olivia, who had her eyes closed and was lying on the bed, and then at the mess on the ground. He frowned, and He soon noticed the palm marks on Dorothyâs face and grew furious.
âDid she hit you, Dolly?â
Dorothy sobbed and gasped for breath as she said, âJohnny, donât...â
She glanced at Olivia cautiously and continued timidly. âDonât blame Liv for this. Itâs my fault. I cooked Liv food that she doesnât like. Thatâs why sheâs angry. I understand. Itâs just that Iâm worried about her health.
âThatâs enough.â
John interrupted with his cold voice.
