honeydew souls, watching 6 year olds

spreading it all over raisin fruit bread and lick

it off from short chubby fingers.

damp hair on satin pillow sighs,

swallowing swollen tongues in empty parking lots.

eyes crimson with nostalgia's chlorine -  choking on our own tears.

rain all over the leather seats of your SUV.

screaming the sun's name 'til your lips blister and the evening sky is splattered in terracotta 'Nd burnt

sienna paint (cus baby the vanilla chapstick won't smoothen the cracks.)

your hands in my hair and my eyes

are the sun and moon.

what is

tomorrow when—

we've
