Chapter Eight-"I...uh...you and me...us..."

Kissing is something that you learn to improve with years. I mean there is a lot involved with kissing, two people; lips and of course there’s always open mouth kissing which involved tongues. I suppose kissing isn’t only disgusting when you’re little, obviously when you grow older and find someone who you’re clearly not attracted to, the thought of kissing them is more than just disgusting, it’s absolutely revolting.

So, if you had to tell me two weeks ago that I was going to be pressed up against the cold wall, with Sean Gregory looking at me like I was the most precious thing a guy could have ever laid eyes on, I would have laughed in your face. Oh, and let’s not forget that he was offering to teach me how to kiss this very minute. Yes, I Vivienne Lanter, the reformed geek who still did Math for fun was being offered to be taught kissing by the sexy bad boy who spoke with a slight British accent and occasionally used combat boots.

Do it Viv, you know you want to. He’s hot, he’s got skills and what’s there to lose? Dave isn’t going to find out and besides, it’s just a kiss. You’re giving up your Virgin Lips status, not your white veil to your wedding. My eyes fell onto Sean’s lips, they were full and soft and I could feel the warmth of his breath fanning across my face. He smelt intoxicating, sweet and spicy and oh so good. But then, what would happen to Dave and me?

“Lanter,” Sean brought me out of my thoughts, “it’s just a kiss. I’m not going to hurt you.”

My cheeks heated in embarrassment. Yup Viv, you probably stared at him too long like he was a rapist. Way to go on blowing your chance to kiss the hottest Sex God in school.

“I…uh…you and me…us…” I squeaked out unintelligently.

Sean chuckled, leaning slightly closer he spoke, “Trust me on this,” he smiled smugly, “after you get taught by me, Dave won’t know what hit him.”

I felt myself nodding, staring into Sean’s deep hazel eyes and that smug little smirk he had on. My chest tightened, my stomach suddenly felt like it was tumbling out of control, my knees grew weaker and my head began to spin. I bit back a sound of protest as Sean positioned himself closer to me, his hands sliding under my chin, cupping my face in his warm palms and his head dipping down slightly as he grinned boyishly at me.

This was it. Vivienne Lanter, you are going to be kissed, losing your Virgin Lips status for good, no more geek and no more turning back.

“Close your eyes Lanter,” Sean instructed.

With a deep breath, I shut my eyes feeling my nerves racing like I was running a marathon. My stomach had gone from tumbling around aimlessly to somersaulting non-stop. My skin had burst out into goose pimples and I could feel my cheeks heating up again in another blush. Sean’s warmth was burning through my skin, causing my breathing to grow faster and my fingers to curl into my palms.

It took me a moment to realise that Sean was kissing me.

His lips were warm and soft against mine, moving ever so slowly against my mouth as he pressed closer into me. I felt my eyes flying open as I stared at the gorgeous guy in front of me, his face against mine and his deep hazel eyes hidden behind closed eyelids. Panic flooded through my body, what was I supposed to do? I felt like crawling into a hole and dying there, what if Sean opened his eyes and realised that I was a hopeless case who couldn’t be taught how to kiss?

“Open,” Sean murmured before pressing his lips back onto mine, “your mouth,” he pressed another kiss against my lips, “Lanter.”

I shuddered slightly at the tiny tingles that had begun to form at my lips, before doing as Sean said. My lips parted hesitantly, and I was awarded by getting a blast of hot breath that somehow mixed with mine. Instantly my eyes shut, my chest getting tighter as Sean continued to move his lips against mine. Forgetting about my thoughts, I let my mouth move in synch with Sean’s, allowing him to guide them as his lips parted wider against mine.

A gasp escaped my lips as I felt Sean’s tongue slowly enter my mouth. It was hot and made my body shudder in satisfaction. Slowly, tiny jolts of electricity had taken up my body, sliding down my arms and then my spine, causing a soft moan to leave my lips. Sean responded instantly, his tongue sought mine out, caressing me from the inside out. I felt something in the pit of my stomach trembling uncontrollably as my arms snaked their way around his neck, drawing Sean even closer.

Pulling away slightly, Sean nibbled against my lower lip sending waves of pleasure throughout my body. I could feel his smirk against my lips as I let out a breathless gasp, while he allowed his lips to trail down my jawline, planting small and insistent kisses against my skin. My whole body began to burn from my centre, I wanted more. Sean’s lips found my neck, as he began to run his hot tongue against my skin; I let my fingers dig into his shoulders eliciting a groan in the back of his throat.

With slow movements, Sean began to bring his mouth slowly back to mine. I could feel my skin heating up, with jolts of electricity tingling through my bones with each kiss he pressed against my face causing my breathing to hitch. Placing his warm lips over mine, Sean let them linger there for a while before pulling away completely. I frowned, my eyes opening and staring at Sean. His lips were redder than usual, swollen and moist.

I felt my face flush.

“Oh come on Lanter,” Sean began huskily, “you’ve got to kiss Dave too.”

My eyes narrowed as I asked, “What do you mean?”

Sean pulled away, and I felt the urge to pull him back close to me.

Grinning he replied smugly, “Lanter, you’re not fooling anyone. We both know how much you enjoyed that kiss.”

My cheeks began to grow hotter, before I scoffed, “I have no idea what you mean.”

“Oh really,” Sean replied, raising a dark eyebrow.

“Yes really, I’ve kissed tons of things better than you,” I lied.

“Like what Lanter,” he asked, “the back of your hand?”

I crossed my arms over my chest angrily, “For your information yes.”

Sean chuckled, “Deny it all you want, but I know it and you know it, that was a frigging a-“

“There you two are!”

I jumped up in shock, turning to face Juliet who was looking at Sean and me suspiciously. I gave her a small smile before stepping away from Sean, feeling his gaze on the back of my head. Play it cool Viv, pretend that nothing has happened. Oh who are you kidding? That boy can kiss like an angel! How are you supposed to forget that? Why did you let him kiss you Viv, it’s probably going to be in your mind for the rest of your life and then what? You’re going to end up blowing your chance with Dave and living in a nunnery with Smokey and Mr Wiggles.

“What were you doing?” Juliet asked, casting a questioning look at Sean.

“I was giving her a pep talk,” Sean replied before I could, “nervous and all that stuff.”

Juliet nodded, even though her eyes screamed ‘Tell me or else’. I sighed, not wanting to discuss the details of the very intimate and mindboggling kiss that I had just shared with Sean Gregory. The bad boy with a slight British accent, who wore leather jackets, rode motorbikes and occasionally sported combat boots. Besides, I was on a date with Dave Peterson, the guy with amazing abs and who was currently waiting for me at the cinema.

“I’ve got to get to Dave,” I replied quickly, “he’ll be waiting for me.”

Juliet shrugged, “Oh Amanda’s keeping him company.”

My eyes widened slightly, “W-What? He knows that you guys are here?”

Juliet rolled her green eyes at me, “Chill Viv, Dave’s super nice about it.”

I sighed, “Yeah, sorry.”

Smiling Juliet replied, “Please, Dave’s the one who’s going to be sorry when he kisses you tonight.”

“What! Why?” I asked in panic.

What if Juliet knew that I kissed Sean? Did she know? She seems like the kind of girl who would spy on you… You should really look into her background Viv, she is your best friend and everything but do you really trust her? What are you saying you idiot, of course you trust Juliet! She’s your best friend for God’s sake. Stop acting like a complete fool and just be you, the calm and collected Vivienne Lanter that everyone was going to see.

“I mean,” I began to correct myself, “did he tell you something?”

Sean shot me a look at the corner of his eye with a slight frown. I ignored his stare and turned back to Juliet.

“No relax Viv,” Juliet began, “oh look! There’s Dave and Amanda now.”

I found my lips tugging up into a smile as my eyes came to land onto Dave. Looking as handsome as ever, he was holding a bucket of popcorn and two drinks of what I presumed to be cherry cola on a tray. He grinned at me, his blue eyes lighting up when he saw me and instantly the nerves that I had been feeling just a few seconds ago disappeared. With confident and steady steps, I walked up to Dave and grinned up at him.

“Sorry about that,” I said.

Dave smiled, “No problem, so…” he turned to Sean and Juliet, “guess you guys are going to watch the movie too?”

Sean cut in, “No, actually something’s come up.”

I frowned, my eyes narrowing at Sean as he continued to smile, “I’ve got to head out, nice seeing you guys.”

Amanda sighed, “Well since Sean’s going, I guess I am too. Bye Vivienne, bye Davey,” she drawled, “It was nice meeting you.”

I watched as Sean and Amanda left until they became tiny dots among the crowds of people around. With a frown I turned to Juliet who was looking at me with a puzzled expression, “Well, uh…I’m still going to see the movie.”

“Sure, let’s go in,” I began but stopped when Juliet gave me a sheepish smile.

“Actually, I’m sort of meeting Chris here,” Juliet replied.

My eyes bugged out of my skull, “Chris, as in Chris Martin?”

Juliet blushed slightly, “Well yeah, he sort of found me back there,” she pointed to the concession stand, “and well we got to talking and we’re seeing the same movie, besides I don’t want to be a third wheel on your date.”

Dave chuckled, “It’s no problem, right Viv?”

I nodded, “Yeah…no problem at all.”

My face was on fire, my heart was speeding erratically and the only thing I could think of was the fact that I was being kissed for the second time in one night by a different guy. Of course the kiss with Sean was a whole lot more exciting than the one I was currently having with Dave outside my front door with my mother probably peeking through the windows like some sad forty year old virgin who secretly watched porn for pleasure.

Dave’s kiss was gentle and soft, and he pulled away before I even knew it was over. My eyes lingered on his sapphire blue ones for a few seconds before I smiled slowly. This was Dave, sweet and caring Dave who didn’t hurt anyone and thought that I was cute. Blonde hair and a sincere smile, along with his killer abs and amazing eyes, Dave was the guy any girl would ever want and he was asking me on another date.

“You know about the town’s carnival right?” Dave asked.

I nodded. Even I, a geek knew about the annual Redwood Carnival. Okay to be fair, I only knew about it and went was because Juliet’s father held the eating contest and manned the dunking booth. Of course I got to help out too and be rewarded with Juliet being dunked in countless of times into the cold tank filled to the brim with water. So all in all, the carnival was fun.

“Do you want to go with me?” Dave quickly asked before laughing sheepishly, “I mean, if you want to that is…?”

I found a smile forming against my lips, “Sure, I’d love to go.”

“Great,” Dave replied, “so I’ll see you in school then.”

I nodded, waving goodbye to Dave as he drove off. I stood there for a few minutes before I hear the front door open. Turning around, I met my mother who was smiling broadly at me as though she had just learnt that I had brought home a million dollars. I raised an eyebrow at her, before walking into the house, my mother following closely behind.

“Oh Viv, was that Dave?” she asked excitedly.

I couldn’t help but smile, her happiness was contagious, “Yeah mum, that was Dave.”

“You were right, he definitely is a swimmer,” my mother replied with a suggestive look.

My cheeks began to heat up, “Mum!”

“What darling?” my mother asked innocently, “I’m just saying.”

I rolled my eyes, “Enough about Dave.”

“Fine, fine,” my mother chuckled, “we’ll talk about Jeff then.”

I swallowed a lump, “Jeff?”

Nodding my mother replied, “Well he wants us to go to his house for a Sunday lunch and meet little Holly.”

“Holly,” I asked frowning slightly, “he wants us to meet his…child?”

My mother narrowed her blue eyes at me, “Yes, I told you about his daughter.”

I sighed, “Don’t you think that this is going a bit…” I fumbled for the right words, “fast?”

“I know it seems fast,” my mother replied, “but I just know that Jeff’s the one.”

Something suddenly popped into the back of my mind.

“Mum?”

“Yes Viv,” my mother asked.

“How do you know if the guy you’re with is the right one?”

My mother laughed, “Well let’s see, it definitely wasn’t your father. He made me clean up dog crap from his shoe and it wasn’t that Mr Lance either, after that champagne incident.”

I scowled in disgust, “Please mum, get to the point.”

Laughing my mother responded, “Well sweetie, you just know if the guy’s the right one when you feel it in here,” she pointed to her chest, “why do ask?”

I shrugged, “Oh you know… well uh…I’m really tired so night.”

Placing a kiss on my mother’s cheek, I made my way to my room feeling the tingling sensations against my lips from the long heated kiss and I couldn’t help but wonder from whom it had been.

A/N And...? What did you think? Should Sean have taken Viv right there and then? Should Dave have put more effort in that kiss? Is Juliet really going to go out with Chris and why is Amanda all gooey and nice to boys??? TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

Right, since that rant is over, more important news. As you all know by now (if not, shame on you), I have a new story, The Player, and since I'm just as much as a Geekling as you all, I thought that maybe The Player would be a spin off kind of... Yes two completely different mains and a completely different plot, but there will be the same old characters including Viv and Sean and of course Dave (for those who are nice to that boy). Tell me what you think Geeklings!

Remember to vote, comment and spread the word. Also thanks to everyone who's fanned, added to libraries and supported the story thus far :)

Peace Out Geeklings =P
