4 Isabella felt guilty. Her relationship with Seth had been unclear before, and she worried that if they stayed together under the same roof, even for just one night, Victoria would see through it.
âDo you not have any other houses?â Isabella asked.
âWhy would | buy so many houses in Bleaktown for no reason?â Seth replied.
Isabella considered suggesting that he stay in a hotel, but then she thought it would be inappropriate since the house belonged to Seth.
âThen I'll take my mother back to our old house.â
âYour old house hasnât been visited for years. It might have been taken over by rats,â
Seth spoke without any courtesy.
10 Isabella was speechless.
âI'll stay in the backyard, away from your mother,â Seth offered, taking a step back.
Isabella breathed a sigh of relief. âDoes the house have two entrances?â
Seth responded indifferently.
With nothing more to say, Isabella forcefully pulled her arm away.
âI'll go settle my mother first.â
âYour mother is fine now. You donât need to follow her everywhere.â
He took the opportunity to grab her again, then forcefully pulled her into the car.
âDrive.â
217 Isabella was startled. She sat up straight and quickly called Victoria in the car ahead, telling her not to be afraid.
Seeing her nervousness, Seth snorted lightly, but his complexion eased.
The villa was nearby and not very large. Victoria was taken to the front yard while Isabella followed Seth to the backyard.
âI'll go check on my mother.â
As soon as the car stopped, Isabella immediately went to open the car door, not giving Seth a chance to stop her.
Watching her run around the row of villas to the front yard, he couldn't help but clic tongue.
In the front yard, Victoria got out of the car and didnât see Isabella at first, feeling a bit 317 uneasy. But soon, Isabella ran over from the back.
âMom, letâs go inside first.â
Victoria looked around at the people nervously. âBella, are these your bossâ people?â
Isabella nodded. âYes. He lent them to me.â
âYour boss is a good person.â
As Victoria spoke, a look of sadness appeared on her face. âIâve caused you trouble.â
Isabella felt a pang in her heart. Holding back her tears, she helped Victoria into the house.
The house was very clean, as if someone had just cleaned it the day before.
Victoria was full of emotions, holding Isabellaâs hand and continuously asking about Sethâs situation.
âI've seen him.â
Isabella was startled. âWhat?â
Victoria smiled and said, âOn TV.â
Isabella breathed a sigh of relief. She had been quite scared.
âHe looks quite young and handsome.â
Victoria listed one point after another, then suddenly grabbed Isabella's hand, stal her. Not long after, tears flowed down her face.
Isabella quickly squatted down. âMom, what's wrong?â
âI'm sorry, Bella. Iâve held you back...â
Chapter 466 Strange Words From Mom Victoriaâs words were fragmented, but Isabella could roughly understand that she was apologizing for not giving her a better life.
myself.â
âNo.â Victoria shook her head vigorously, grabbing Isabella's hand.
âBella, don't blame Mom, okay?â
Isabella was confused by her words, but she could only nod her head.
After reassuring her several times, Victoriaâs fluctuating emotions finally calmed âMom, you sit here. I'll go buy some food for you.â
When they entered the community earlier, she saw a snack street not far away, which seemed to sell Victoria's favorite rice noodles
