As if the golden mist immediately disappeared right in front of me, I could no longer caress that familiar warmth, everything going back to the way it was, and I could now feel the leaves dancing with the whispers of the breezes.

Then a leaf came flowing down to my open palm only to close it and put it on the middle of my chest.

"Until I see you again, Crane," but then why do I feel like it's already hard to breathe...

As I adjusted my coat, I walked like one with the dancing leaves enough to be swayed by the gentle caresses of the time.

As soon as I landed my sight on the dark envelope and a small stick as I twisted it upwards, I could see the redness of the circular object below with a logo, I knew it had something to do with the information from the Hildigger.

When I asked Oratio about the upcoming war, he only shook his head and sighed as he knew that I have to attain and surpass the current level I have now to gain that information from him so I would think of this as a bonus instead.

The day couldn't get anymore busier, and when I thought that I could help the clinic, I saw the letter from my table and I couldn't help to set the dark envelope aside, take my seat and open it only to know that it was from Grenda.

"Dear Lady Agnes, I hope you're feeling all right, I am now working as your employee in your clinic and I guess that many people were coming within. Also, I might inform you that some nobles were starting to acknowledge your clinic and they're trying to ask me some. I also imposed your policies that if nobles were to claim some of the medicines they would have to pay..."

"You don't have to worry about it since they knew me and my family that's why they wouldn't talk bad to your clinic, you know that I always have your back, Lady Agnes... Oh and by the way, someone sent letters from you and I can guess they're from the other nobles. I could only think that those were some invitations... Nevertheless, I hope you have great days ahead..."

Upon reading her letter, I didn't even realize that the corners of my lips had already been lifted if I hadn't seen my reflection in the large windows beside where I was.

"Thank you, Lady Grenda," I whispered and when the flames of the candles moved, I knew I had another silhouette to entertain.

"Welcome, Lexus, how was your day with your comrades?" I asked him as I turned to look at him kneeling in front of me where I could sense he was holding something in his hands.

"As I've always been, they were obedient to Oratio, but I knew that they would have some hard time adjusting to their new master that's why I brought two of them since they became curious about the lady that I served." As soon as Lexus said those words, two misty black smoke appeared and right now, I could see their silhouette well even if their shadows danced with the flames of the candle.

"It's been an honor to be able to meet you in person, the lady of our new master, I'm Jer"

"And I'm Key, and we're the two from the phantom knight's group..." I couldn't help but put both of my hands on my mouth since it was the first time I saw two wizards being easygoing when all I knew weren't like the ones I held in my imagination.

One of the two who was named Jer and the first one to greet me was kneeling like the other, he had this long luscious yellowish hair tied in a white ribbon. While I could see that Oratio was wearing black.

He had this long black coat, and his skin was glowing as white as snow from his appearance. When I turned to look at the other, I could see that he had dark chocolate brown hair like Lexus but he had the same length of hair as Jer.

His name was Key as he said and he was also kneeling while he had this long violet and yet ripped cloak enough for me to look at he was wearing a vest within his ripped cloak.

"Nice to meet you two as well, you may have known from Lexus about my name, but I shall introduce it properly. My name is Vestia Monsiore and I am a friend of Lexus... it's also been a pleasure to meet you two, please let us all be friends?"

"Woah! This was the first time I heard a noble lady wanting to befriend us!" Key said while standing from where he was and immediately intertwining my hands with his as he looked me into the eyes with sparkling eyes that I'd seen before from Celna.

"I'm also honored to be a friend of the young lady," Jer came after and held Key's hands that were holding mine and I couldn't help but widen my eyes as I was about to say something with my mouth wide open, I heard the two immediately shouted as they let go of my hands and now, Lexus was already wiping mine.

"Hands off my young lady, you two seemed to never learn etiquette, huh?" that's when I knew that it was Lexus who hit the back of their heads and even now they were pouting while massaging where Lexus hit them.

"Vestia are you all right? I should have warned them first, they were just----"

"I know Lexus and they were indeed jolly to be friends with. I hope you were doing fine with the others as well because you know I could see them being your friends for the longest time. They would be the type of people who would protect their master at all costs," the moment I said those words, I never expected to see him widen his eyes.

His mouth parted immediately but they also immediately closed the moment that we heard the two talking as if they were watching the two of us.

"Jer don't you think our new master and the lady we befriended seemed to be a match made in heaven?"

"Well, as you've said it I guess our new master indeed cared and liked our lady for a long-----" Before Jer could finish his words, the handkerchief that Lexus managed to wipe from my hands continued to fly where Jer was, and hit him as if the edges of the soft fabric turned to edge like a sharp knife.

"Phew, if I hadn't managed to catch it, I would have ended dead by now"

"Oh, let's be honest Jer, you would still regenerate, you couldn't die"

"Oh right, as you've said it..." When the two talked my eyes widened again but then when I tried to look where Lexus was, he was already nowhere to be found from within my space because when I turned to look where the two were, Lexus was already knocking his knuckles with eyes that were narrowed and lips that were sealed like a forced smile.

"What are you two talking about?" he kept on saying until the two figures became small with sweats on their heads and hands raised as if stopping a mighty force from descending in front of them.

"We apologize, new master, we didn't intend to talk your love-----"

Before Jer could finish again he was already on the floor and spewing some saliva as Lexus began hitting his face, and I immediately stepped forward but Key managed to stop me with eyes on mine as if they were locking mine not to do anything.

"Key, we have to stop Lexus he might---"

"No Lady Vestia, it's all right, it's just that, Jer sometimes would say things that would be the cause of other's sensitive side to overrule and he would be beaten like this but trust me, he would still be fine..."

"Fine? He would nearly die..."

"As you've heard from us earlier, Lady Vestia, we couldn't die..."

"Couldn't die?"

"Yes, even if we wanted to unless our main bodies' hearts were ripped to pieces"

"Then you're not immortal?"

"Let's just say that we were previously experimented on and were picked by Oratio and regain our life. It was Master Oratio who gave us new lives, but he couldn't maintain us to be immortal"

"Then how..."

"If our original body would be found out, and our original hearts that were still beating on them would be torn, that's the time we would die..."

My mouth opened to ask new words but I felt like they'd become dry and when I heard Lexus sighing that's when I knew that he had already been cleaning his knuckles.

"Oh, I'm okay don't worry!" Jer immediately stood and fixed some dust from his clothes while his face seemed to return to normal

"No one asked you!!!" I heard Lexus say and I saw Key chuckled

"That's the scenario that you wouldn't have seen if our new master didn't bring us here," when he said those words, I sighed and put my hands on my chest.

"Then I'm glad that as long as you're all fine"

"So you don't have to worry, besides, Master Lexus told us that you're eventually Lady Agnes"

"I guess cat's out of the bag now..." I chuckled

"You just don't know the impact you had but I knew that you'd become someone far beyond our expectations, Lady Vestia... besides that, the dark envelope you had from that table, I sensed some bad aura from it, it came indeed from that guild, and it must be somewhat related from the Hildigger"

"Wait, you knew?"

"Yes, because we've been previously assigned from that place a long time ago"

"How was that long time ago?"

"I guess it's been seven decades already..."

"Seven decades?!"
