"That's why I warned you Lady Vestia, we don't have time to idle around, since this forest had a lot of beast monsters. I've acquired the seal but it seemed that there was something more"

"Something more? What is it?"

"That...." He pointed something above and what widened my eyes was enough to know that we were indeed in danger

"So there are two magic users as well that were lost in this Silvian state, what do you intend to do, Serces?"

"What do you think Dimwit, of course, we should follow, our lord's order"

"What is our lord's order again? Oh and for Pete's sake Serces I have a name!!!"

"Save that for later, you know very well what it was, Zercus"

There were two humans or might as I said two magic users that were like us and even though they could float or fly in the air, they have a different appearance like humans. It's as if they were a being far above us.

What are they?

I tried to look at Jer but his right arm was bleeding he already showed his deathrock meaning that these two were no ordinary individuals.

The one that talked first had this spiked hair that was green colored and the other one had this brown hue on his hair. They both have scars on different sides of their face, but the one that talked back had this bulged figure compared to the other one who seemed slim enough like a much younger being than the other one.

"Oh shut up and let's just get started shall we, Serces?" Their voice sounded as if lightning and thunder were being combined.

Then their chuckles seemed to be far louder than the monsters from before.

"You two, are you prepared to meet death?" The one with the green haired asked

"Don't just ask them Zercus, let's make them meet each other shall we?" And in the blink of an eye, I could eventually hear the clashing sounds of metals and when I blinked again, the one leaning right in front of me with the smirk of a devil made his way

"Peek-a-boo!!!" He said and in a flash, I was already thrown away making the trees from my back fall to the ground.

There, I knew from that moment that I had already felt pain, for the first time aside from Oratio's training.

Good thing I already enveloped my aura around my body and the mana it had was enough to support my back.

But when I landed some to my eyes, I couldn't help but narrow them as the two beings were far more superior to the mana that I could have.

Not when there's no distinction on their level of magic users.

"What are you looking at, little lady? Your opponent is here!" Then again, I was thrown to the other side with just one slap from the young man's face but good thing that Jer caught me however, I couldn't help but gasp since he already lost his right arm

"Jer!!!"

"Don't worry about me, Lady Vestia, what you should be worried about right now is to defeat the other two..."

"But your right arm..."

"I can regenerate Lady Vestia, but you can't so just stick to yourself"

"But——"

"Listen to me as we don't have time, Lady Vestia... The only thing we could do right now is to know that they are far superior to us and they are above the level of the magic users, perhaps, they must be the successful experimentation——"

"Jer!!!!"

"If you keep looking elsewhere than your enemies, this will do you no good, tsk, tsk, tsk..." The one with the brown haired responded and he was about to slap me again but the one with the green haired spoke

"Don't mind her Serces, she's my prey, remember?"

"Tsk"

But then I knew I had to move away or else

"Where do you think you're going, little miss?" he said with a playful voice and as he was about to slap me with his hand that had this tint of crimson, something from my body began to light up and when I blinked, everything began to light as if making our opponents shut their eyes and scream

"What was that?"

"Hey, are you——"

But those voices immediately faded through time as when I opened my eyes, we were in these four-cornered walls, made of brown bricks but a greenish glow appeared the same seal we had found from the land.

I could see Jer was already lying on the ground coughing blood and the deathrock he had was already torn to pieces that it glowed and faded.

I went immediately to where Jer was but he was barely breathing I know I don't have healing magic as none of us magic users could heal but maybe the potions that I've made could heal him.

I don't know why we were suddenly put up in here, but I guess it had something to do with the seal that Jer had made me keep earlier.

Looking around while making Jer's head lying on my lap, I could see that we were surrounded by this wall as if we were caged from a room.

I tried to be calm and assert to observing everything through magic but none came to mind when it came to eh scenario earlier.

As I could feel magic was indeed looming everywhere, I couldn't feel the darkness from within.

I guess Jer must have known this place and I just have to wait for a few minutes to listen to him speak first before concluding the matter.

Because in this place, I felt that something wasn't right to begin with. The constant running of my chest as if I couldn't fathom what was about to happen as if there was something that would never be expected, kept on flashing through my mind until my eyes landed on the emerald jewels attached to certain parts of the wall.

They were not far from where we were, but they were also not that close. I continued to narrow my gaze to find some exit route within the four corners of the walls when I couldn't even find a thing that would lead us to safety.

Because right now, this happened to us, it was only a temporary assurance that we were far away from those murderous, dangerous auras of those creatures that we never thought to encounter.

But it wasn't even a guarantee that we would still be safe for another minute or hour that would pass by.

As my gaze averted from the walls and looked at Her, I couldn't help but sigh and pinched his cheeks enough to wake him up as I thought but he never did.

I did everything I could, to wake this phantom but no matter what I did, he couldn't open his eyes and when I finally wanted to slap him using my magic, Oratio's words suddenly popped into my mind.

"When someone couldn't wake up that easily, even if you would use your magic, he or she wouldn't still be wakened up, then you have encountered someone who uses mist, a dangerous kind of mist that when landed on someone, he or she would instantly fall into a deep slumber...." He paused while picking some of the flowers from the vase he had been nurturing replacing the withered one.

"And when they do, the only thing you should be able to do was...."

I closed my eyes, so forcefully, that I could even feel the veins around them, to remember the words that Oratio told me but no matter how I tried, I felt like I couldn't even remember the words...

"Come on, Vestia, think! Think, of a way to solve this!!!" No matter how hard I tried, it felt like I was hanging on a rope that wasn't even tied, to begin with, and no matter how I tried to shut my eyes, I felt like gripping onto a rope that made me fall deeper to the abyss wasn't even a right choice.

I wanted to shout but as my vision began to be foggy, the greenish light emanating not from the seal but from the jewels attached to the wall, kept on penetrating my mind, and when I rested Jer's head on the other side, as I began to approach it...

The moment I tried to grasp the jewel, a sudden blinding light appeared again that's when I knew that I had the seal that Jer managed to accumulate earlier from the land.

Before I could even shield my eyes, my hands touched the jewels, and a soft velvety voice suddenly appeared right in front of my ears.

Just when I was about to blink, a warmth invaded my face, as if two hands were holding my cheeks but when I tried to look around, I was covered with this vague surrounding that there wasn't any except lights that kept on passing me through.

"Dear lady, did you call me?" The voice sounded serene as if it couldn't even break any glass, as if it immediately caressed the drum that was supposed to freeze the instant I was in this foreign place.

"I didn't but please tell me who are you?"

I heard the voice chuckle but before answering me, I could feel the mighty breeze caressing my entire being and in a blink of an eye, I felt like I was falling again but this time, there wasn't any rope but only my hands trying to reach the air...

"I guess we met not at the right time to introduce myself, but because you had that jewel, I presume that my descendant indeed valued you, my dearest child. So for now, I guess I have no choice but to save you two...." The voice continued to caress me even if I was still continuously falling into this pit of light

"But the next time we meet, let's get to know each other more, and let me know what you wish, what you truly desire..."

"Wait, please, just let me please, let me know you... Let me——"
