Sounds of wind gushed through my body but it was stronger, as if there was a force that kept on pushing us to the light but what happens when the light surrounds us?

I kept on having that thought but the moment I landed my eyes on Jer, that's when I knew that he wasn't kidding on the words he had said earlier.

The hands that kept gripping my shoulders stayed there even though I could barely utter the same pain that the scream of the beast monsters we fought.

I took in a breath of long air before I closed my eyes because the moment he said the words, a greenish light flashed before us and as if I was back in the abyss, I let Jer maneuver the place we would land.

"Bring us back to the Silvian state," When he uttered those words, I could see the determination in his voice, but then, I couldn't help but question him, if the seal could let us go back to the place why not that we should have gone to the Belfore East then...

My shaking hands landed on my knees and the strong current from the place where my eyes landed to the sands, I couldn't even see what was happening right in front of me if it weren't for Jer landing his whole body on the ground as if he had been burnt.

"Jer, are you all right? Jer? Jer?" I kept on shaking his body but the blood from his mouth kept on flowing. I found his eyes and they were closed until his hands found mine and gripped tightly to it.

"The seal?" I asked looking at the glowing green

"U-Use it, b-before t-they found us... T-The reason I-I can't summon us to the Belfore East is because I already claimed my limits, L-Lady V-Vestia. P-Please s-say what I———"

Then Jer's eyes were already closed, but I could still feel him breathing, the fog that his breath was still there created.

I saw my hands shaking, I couldn't look anywhere until I saw Jer's blood flowing to his mouth.

I opened my bag and made him drink the bottle then after that, I immediately took the seal as Jer's words were enough to bring me to know that there were indeed other creatures that were unknown and far stronger than us.

I just knew at that time that Jer wasn't even kidding.

"Belfore East!" I took the seal and uttered the words, but before the green light could cover our figures, we were greeted by these familiar voices, and the seal that was about to glow was indeed left to ruins shattered to pieces by the arrow that almost slashed the sides of my cheeks

"Not so fast, little missy," the one with the green-haired spoke with this venomous voice as if spiking some kind of poison from the air, and the arrow that hit me went back to where the brown-haired guy was.

They were both smirking and when I looked at Jer, I knew that I had already been cornered.

Narrowing my eyes, I clenched both of my hands as hard as I could only to look at the two laughing like a terrible thunder was behind them as they floated to the air.

They have these huge and dangerous weapons, and not that they weren't aware that they were fighting with mages, it's as if they have no hint of being afraid. They carry much of this oozing confidence in their body that laughing would cause a sudden thunder in the clouds.

"What do you want?" I asked them, and I didn't even know I was talking with gritted teeth if it hadn't for the one with the spiked hair illustrating my actions.

"Huh? What do we want? If we want blood, would you two give us?" The one with the brown hair spoke, adjusting his weapon behind him from his bulgy figure.

What are these two plans? I knew from the start that they couldn't be trusted. No, they could never be trusted, but shouldn't they attack us now?

"Then what would you two make us do?" I asked slowly moving away from their distance but no matter how much I moved, they kept on following even if I could feel from my hands that, indeed, Jer was a bit heavy that I stopped my actions.

"We just wanted you two to watch" Then I guess, I knew what that meant. There is no more exit since I felt like we've been caged. The seal earlier which I asked to take us to the Belfore East was now already broken and cut in two, Jer wasn't conscious and the only thing I could do was fight these two.

But whenever I looked at them and had my aura put on my eyes, I could see that they were overflowing as if mocking me in a way that Oratio wasn't even an inch in their power, I could see that and in a blink of an eye, if I weren't able to move my body in that one second, I could have been cut by two pieces right now.

The one that they had was a huge slicing weapon that no one could sell within our empire, and it was indeed dangerous, no they were more than dangerous, they were as if created to kill any trespassers and I'm no different from within their thoughts, and so was Jer.

"Remember Vestia, if you were faced with an unexpected moment, you should...." From Oratio's voice, I could see the path where I would be taking Jer and not to be noticed but this wasn't the time. I need to buy time.

As I signaled from my hands, I touched Jer and his body immediately disappeared.

"Yes, I know, of course since our chief will be furious and we would indeed be punished right, Serces?"

The two kept on talking to each other as if they didn't have an enemy within the land and from that time of their busy chit-chatting moment, I already spread my weapon, two swords from either both of my hands.

"Meh, I'll go first..." the one with the brown hair spoke, and in a second, arrows flashed right through the land creating crashing sounds, making scars all over it, but I still managed to avoid some by running towards the barren land, where there were already no trees.

I kept on running until I heard some slashing sounds from the wind and when I looked above, I felt a tiny sting on my right arm and I knew at that moment that I got hit.

The arrow that passed through my vision had this blue hue as if the tip of the arrow had been engulfed with flames, then I shouted from the pain that it gave me but my feet wouldn't stop from running

"That's what you get when you don't focus enough, little missy," the huge man spoke and I only narrowed my eyes and fought with my swords.

The brown-haired man who was called Serces laughed as if he couldn't believe that a little missy was running like a rat, and I could eventually read his mind from the way he would express himself earlier.

"Is that all that you can do? I guess that in no time we would even present your body to our chief so I guess we're just playing with you for the time being"

"Huh, didn't someone teach you?" I paused as I focused on the swords from either of my hands

"Teach us what? You're just some loser miss that went to cross our lands when you just——"

"That even a rat could kill you two?"

"Hahahhahahaa, are you even kidding us? You? Kill us? Well, probably in your dreams but that would never happen here, little miss, not when we would be the ones who would kill you instead..." The two had dangerously glowing eyes but even the arrows stopped coming in my direction.

I kept my breath steady until I looked at them with eyes that were indeed ready to kill.

I've never killed anyone before but if it's necessary to take then I guess I should be the one in the lead...

Sounds of swords clashing, but before I knew it, the two had come out from their previous figures and they were above me from fighting their clones, if I may see that it just happened during our battle...

"Are you prepared Zercus?"

"Ugh! I just never thought to use this kind of technique to a little missy like her"

"Why? Little missy got your nerves?"

"Well, I never expected that she's an inch like us"

"Like us? Oh please Zercus that would never happen, she's not someone like us, besides, we have to kill one more descendant and we shouldn't waste our time on her"

The moment that the two said those words they formed a line and in that, there was light coming from their triangular-formed fingers, and before I knew a thing, I shielded myself with the swords but when I noticed that even my aura couldn't protect my swords, they were breaking into pieces like becoming one with the light.

Until I felt this red glow from within and a voice so familiar and sweet cascaded through my mind.

"Vestia, close your eyes..."

I don't know why but I shouldn't be hearing his voice right now, he had nothing to do with this and he had nothing to do with me but because I knew that this would be my end, I closed my eyes and never thought that I would be sent back to the abyss again.

"Just when I found you again, please don't leave me again, Vestia..."
