CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Sakyja's Sweetening

The day's date was August 6th. The first day of school would be tomorrow and Sakyja was not ready.

Don't get her wrong, she was prepared. She had all of her material, supplies, clothes and etcetera. She just didn't want to go. She wished so bad that last year was her last year.

"Sakyja you need to be getting your clothes out for the week. You know you don't like to get up in the morning. That'll cut some time down." Sakina instructed to her daughter, making Ky nod her head in response.

"Yes ma'am." Ky responded while she smiled. She was so happy to be back at home and back on good terms with her number one best friend.

A few days ago, Sakina reached out to her daughter and talked things smooth. Every since she had been gone from the house, she was so nervous and unsettled. She wasn't used to Ky not being around her, she barely let her have sleepovers away from home.

Ky walked up the stairs and did as she was told, which was taking her clothes out for the week. She put each outfit upon its own hanger and hung it up in her closet.

She had the blinds open from previously cleaning her room. She plopped down on her bed, cheesing hard. She missed home.

The past week her life had been going so great. She got accepted into her number one college, if she still decided to go. She got all her stuff for school, plus her and Tae were on good terms.

"So? Will you be my girlfriend?"

"I don't know Tae." Ky sighed really trying to put thought in to her answer.

Sometimes she didn't like the way Tae acted. She felt he was too nonchalant and mean. Yes it's "cute" and idealistic sometimes but it does get annoying when it's coming from the person you want affection from. She didn't think a title or label would honestly change that.

"Why don't you know?" Tae quizzed, looking at her with a puzzled expression and trying to calm himself from getting upset.

"You don't really seem like a good boyfriend." Ky answered truthfully causing the confused boy to jerk his head back.

"The fuck? I ain't never been your boyfriend so how the fuck would you even know?" Tae asked.

"Why are you getting so upset?" Ky asked, rolling her eyes.

"Cause yo ass just chattin'." Tae spat out ready to snatch the card off the console and rip it into a hundred pieces. He felt like she was playing with him and his feelings right now. He wouldn't be able to hold his composure for too much longer.

"It's a simple yes or no question. You being extra for why?" Tae said getting irritated with the long drawn out conversation.

"No. You're not going to be a good boyfriend to me for real. Why would I waste my time?" Ky answered.

"You don't even fucking know me! Why you keep speaking on what the fuck I'ma do? Blowing a nigga for real." Tae said getting mad for real now.

"Cause look how you act! You so.. you!" Ky yelled in his face.

"You ain't even giving me a chance man." Tae shook his head and rubbed his hands down his face.

Ky's face softened as she started to feel bad. She had to sit back and look at how she really wasn't giving him a chance. It wasn't to be an ass hole though, she just had her guard up.

"I've been through so much with these boys, even including you." Ky explained.

"Well you gotta let me show you some different shit. We were only friends." Tae shrugged.

"Okay." Ky agreed hoping she wasn't making the wrong decision.

"What's okay?"

"Yes I'll be your girlfriend." Ky sported a small smile, as she twisted with the loose string that hung from his shirt.

"First kiss?" Tae laughed.

"This wouldn't be our first kiss? Would it?" Ky asked confused. Her deja vu was really acting right now, because she remembered doing a lot with Tae.

"It would unless I got a nigga walking around here lookin' like me and you kissin' on em." Tae mugged as he joked.

"Boy please." Ky laughed mushing the mug off his face with her hand.

The car went silent. Ky felt her heart beat faster and louder. It seemed so loud to her, she was sure Tae could hear it.

Ky grabbed his face, with her hands on both sides before pulling his lips into hers.

Tae melted in her hands, slowly kissing back. Nobody had ever just took initiative or control with him. It threw him off.

"We nervous about a kiss like you wasn't just feeling all up in me." Ky said, shocking her self.

They both shared a laugh before kissing again. They liked the feeling. It was very euphoric.

Ky smiled off into space as her recalling flash back of that Wednesday played in her head. She was so excited about being in a relationship. It felt like her and Javier all over again but better.

Ky's smiled was knocked off her face by a teddy bear crashing in to her left cheek.

"The world?" Ky asked in confusion, holding her jaw. It didn't hurt but she was definitely in shock.

"Nana boo-boo." Juke teased at her before running out the door frame and missing his turn causing him to go tumbling down the flight of stairs.

"SEE. GET THE FUCK OUT MY HOUSE." Isaiah yelled from Sakina's room after hearing all the constant loud thuds of Juke's body.

"This not even yo house. This tee-tee Kina house!" Juke yelled getting up for the bottom step and holding his side.

Ky laughed at the bickering, before heading towards the steps to see who was all downstairs.

"Hey bestie. I was just about to come up there." Jaliy said on the fifth step.

"Hey lovely." Ky cheesed.

"Why you so happy?" Jaliy asked with her eyebrow raised.

"Life's just good." Ky cheesed some more before walking down the steps and past her. Ky sighed loudly and plopped off the last step and onto the bare floor.

"Hi." Tae said awkwardly after seeing his girlfriend come into his view.

He usually didn't speak first or some times not at all but he was trying to fight the narrative that he would be a bad boyfriend. He was trying really hard.

"Hi lovely." Ky smiled even bigger and walked towards where he was sitting with her hands out, meeting him into an embrace.

"You just called me that." Jaliy fake pouted, stomping her foot and looking off.

"It's okay lovely." Juke said trying to be there for his girlfriend, pulling her under his arm and laying it over her shoulder.

"Awnnnn stinkamannnn." Jaliy cooed at his nice gesture grabbing on his face and kissing it.

"Im so damn dry." Saun sighed, kicking his feet and faking a tantrum.

"I actually got a friend who want you." Jaliy and Ky both said at the same time making them look over at each other and smile.

"You talking about Auna?" Ky asked referring to a mutual friend they both shared.

"Yea. How'd you know?" Jaliy asked.

"I don't know. She just replied to my story one time and asked about him. I figured maybe she did the same with you." Ky shrugged as she played with the out grown twist Tae had in his head.

"She sholl did." Jaliy confirmed before walking over to Saun and sitting next to him, throwing her legs in his lap and showing him Auna.

"What you been doing?" Ky asked Tae nervously doing a little 'boop' on his nose. She was always so nervous around him. She didn't think that would ever change.

"Nun, just chilling." Tae answered, hoping he didn't sound dry but he really hadn't been doing anything.

"Oh." Ky trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"Want to go some where?" Tae asked trying to bring the conversation back in.

"Yes. If my mom lets me, you know it's a school night." Ky shrugged before getting up and pulling his arm so he could get up and go with her.

Tae pulled back and shook his head as she looked at him. He was nervous to meet her mom, he had never met anyone's parents.

"I know big bully Tae not scared? It's going to be okay." Ky laughed fixing his clothes up and dragging him to her mom's room.

"Hey mommy." Ky spoke after knocking and being given permission to enter.

"Hey baby." Sakina said still staring at the tv which played SpongeBob.

Isaiah on the other hand saw Tae standing behind the girl's small frame and decided to leave and give them their space.

"He could've stayed. He's like my dad." Isaiah heard on the way out feeling his heart flutter. He still continued to walk since he was already out the room.

"This is Tae, mommy. Se'Antae." Ky introduced nervously. "And I'm Ky, Sakyja."

"Hey Tae, Hey Ky." Sakina waved them off trying to watch what was about to happen with the hash slinging slasher.

"He's my boyfriend. I'm his girlfriend." Ky spat out and closed her eyes tightly.

Sakina hurriedly picked up the remote and paused the tv, giving the two teens her full attention.

"What, what now?" Sakina asked. She wasn't shocked that Ky had a boyfriend she was shocked that she was actually letting her meet him.

"Yea. Tell her about yourself Tae." Ky edged, putting him on the spot. If he wasn't so brown, he'd probably been red in the face.

"My name Tae. I'm 19. I got my own apartment and car and stuff. I like Sakyja. She my girlfriend." Tae said scratching at his itchy head.

"Yup!" Ky co-signed him, putting her hand up behind her back to sneak him a high-five.

"Well Mr.Tae it was nice to meet you. You seem very sweet and my daughter seems to like you so I like you too! Give me and Ky a minute please?" Sakina said to him initiating him to leave out of the room and close the door behind him.

"So? He's nice right?" Ky asked kind of nervous now. She felt like why did her mom have to put him out and talk with her?

"Yes. But 19? That's kind of grown Ky." Sakina said looking into the girl's eyes.

"Not really Ma. He just turned 19." Ky shrugged never really thinking about their tiny age gap. It wasn't technically legal but it wasn't nothing disgustingly perverted or anything.

"I understand that. I just know some boys get grown and start to think different. I don't need him trying to get over on my little girl, how Javier was. I'm actually still not over that." Sakina sarcastically giggled as she kept her serious face.

"Tae's not like that. I'm sure of it." Ky cheesed before proceeding to ask if she could go with him.

"Yea go ahead. You know what time you need to be back."

Ky skipped happily out of the room after saying her goodbyes and shutting the door closed.

"She said yes, I just need to be back in on time for school tomorrow." Ky explained to Tae.

Tae didn't verbally respond but instead nodded his head and grabbed her hand, walking her out of the door.

"I didn't get to grab my wallet." Ky spoke to Tae trying to pull back from him.

"Youn need it." Tae grumbled out before clearing his throat. Every time he didn't talk for a while his throat would get dry and his voice, hoarse.

"You must gon' pay?" Ky asked looking down at her feet.

"Naw we gone steal." Tae responded sarcastically.

"Oh okay." Ky shrugged, knowing he was being sarcastic. She was beginning to get used to him and his smart mouth after so long.

"The two got into Tae's car and sat there in silence. Tae didn't really know where he should take her. He just kind of said anything to keep the conversation going and now he was stuck.

"Are you going to be talking to niggas at school?" Tae asked, shocking hisself.

"What do you mean?" Ky questioned with her eyebrow raised. That was a very random question.

"Nothing. Just ignore that." Tae shook his head before leaning his seat back.

"I thought we were going somewhere, no?" Ky asked confused.

"I don't know where to go. You got somewhere you wanna go in mind?"

"No."

A comfortable silence took over as they both just stared forward. They let the moment just marinate. It was so peaceful.

"Do you not want me to talk to any boys?" Ky asked.

"No." Tae answered bluntly. He knew that was kind of insecure and selfish but she asked and he gave her his truthful answer.

"Why?" Ky quizzed on. She didn't talk to anyone anyways that she could remember. She just wanted to know his reasoning.

"I just feel like you only need me and your mama." Tae shrugged his shoulders before lifting his hips and scooting down in his seat.

"What about liy?" Ky giggled at him.

"That lil mf cool I guess." Tae said finding him self smiling at her giggles.

"Cmere" Tae mumbled.

"Huh?" Ky asked. It wasn't anywhere for her to come.

"Come here baby."

Ky didn't know what came over her but that name did it for her, and before she knew it she was climbing his console and sitting in his lap.

Tae wrapped his arms around her torso as they both looked at the birds fly around in the sky.

"Turn the radio on." Ky requested, now putting her hands over his arms that were wrapped around her body.

Tae pressed the button, starting the car and then passed her his phone so she could play music. Ky decided on r e s e n t m e n t by partynextdoor.

Ky exited out of the Apple Music app and headed to his camera to take pictures in his phone.

"And you know you're going to get checked for it." Ky sang out after starting a video. She put Tae in her video who was just watching her through his phone and enjoying her presence.

"You're so handsome." Ky cheesed. "He's so handsome guys." She said to her fake YouTube supporters.

Tae didn't say anything back but instead just placed a kiss on the top of her head making Ky's face go hot.

"You're so beautiful." Tae returned the compliment before unwrapping his hands from her body and using them to flatten out her hair.

Kys hair was in her natural curly state since she had just washed it the day before. It would get frizzy after a while tho hence why Tae had to smooth it down.

"What you doing to your hair for school?" Tae asked. He liked her natural hair and though he would like if she wore it, he knew she was probably going to do something else to it. He never seen a girl actually wear their real hair to school for the first day.

"Im going to put my wig on." Ky answered, grateful that he said something because it reminded her that she needed to braid her hair down.

Tae looked at the time seeing that it was 5:37 pm. The day had been going by so fast. He hated it too because all he wanted to do was be under Ky.

"How long your friend got left in jail?" Ky asked like a little kid. She always minded Tae's business and she could definitely peep out that he was working hard to get someone out of jail.

"Shit not long." Tae answered. He was kind of taken back by the question but he knew Ky was nosey so he didn't ask any questions behind hers.

Ky turned to face him and begin playing with his hair. She loved touching his hair.

Tae stared into her eyes as her eyes focused on his hair. Ky was so pretty to him. It felt like he had never seen anyone as beautiful as her.

"Why you staring at me?" Ky giggled.

Tae didn't answer but instead continued to stare into her eyes and all around her face.

Ky felt his gaze still on her so she decided to stop being scary and look back. As soon as their eyes meet up, Tae gripped her neck and placed his lips on hers.

"Mhmm" Ky moaned into his mouth after feeling his tongue rub against hers.

Tae pushed her back by her neck and just stared at her with his eyebrow raised. That moaning in the mouth shit turned him on bad.

Ky just cheesed, showing her braces before leaning in and swiping her tongue against his brown and pink lips.

Tae sucked her tongue back into his mouth before resuming their make out session.

"It's time for me to go." Ky said in between breaths.

"Why?" Tae mugged. He didn't want her to go.

"Because Tae." Ky started off before her eyes fell on the tattoo on his neck making her tilt his head. She continued to stare at it before mustering up the confidence to lay a wet kiss on it.

Tae twitched in excitement feeling the girl's wet plump lips on his second most sensitive spot.

"Mhm Kyja." Tae tried to say but it instead came out as a groan after feeling Ky lick and suck on his neck.

"Yes baby?" Ky teased, speaking on his neck and letting her breath hit it.

Tae gripped her butt as he tried to contain his moans as Ky left hickeys all over his neck.

I'm thinking to make the chapters shorter so I can update faster. I mean they won't be super short but they won't be lengthy how I've been trying to make them.

This was just a filler chapter tho guys.
