Sakyja's Sweetening

"Alexa?" Ky called out waiting to see her echo dot light up blue.

"Stop." She continued referring to the annoying alarm sound it made. Nothing had the iPhone alarm beat though so she was going to stick beside her alexa.

"UGHGHGH" The restless girl groaned out, after looking at her phone and seeing the time was 4:30 am and it was time for her to get up for school.

"Stop all that yelling in my fucking house!" Sakina yelled out. She was trying to sleep.

"But you yelling tho..." Ky flicked her wrist out with a "the fuck" face.

Ky did her school day morning routine which was staring at the wall aimlessly for about five minutes then getting up to actually get ready.

"Alexa play West District by partynextdoor." Ky commanded before going into her bathroom and beginning to brush her teeth.

"I hate that stuff." Ky said after gagging from brushing her tongue. She felt like she could truly throw up anytime she brushed her tongue.

"Ain't shit pretty but my bitch and my mama." Ky sang out as she cleaned her sink out. She couldn't stand no toothpaste just sitting in the sink.

"He really ate with that lil one." The girl giggled to her self about the lyrics. She reminded herself to put that in her next dump on her spam.

After washing her face with her spin brush, Ky started the shower. She would usually take her tub the night before, but the first day of school always gave do everything that morning.

Her playlist continued to play as she scrubbed her body down with the Dr.Bronners then her cocoa butter scented dove wash.

"I hear you talk about oui a lot. Oh you speak French now?" Ky did her confused face to match the lyrics she was singing, as she stepped out the shower and onto her bath mat.

Reaching over, Ky grabbed the body towel that laid on the toilet and wrapped it around her cold body.

Ky laid back down in the bed so she could "air dry" and picked her phone up to scroll on it.

"Do I text?" Ky asked herself contemplating if she should text Se'Antae goodmorning. It was 5:07 in the morning and she was pretty sure he wasn't up.

"I'ma just text. He'll see it eventually right?" Ky shrugged before typing out "goodmorning🙂", sending the message, and swiping out the app real fast.

"Lame ass." Ky rolled her eyes at his dry response. She began rambling on to herself before being cut off by her phone ringing from an incoming FaceTime call.

"Heyllo?" Ky answered nervously. It was Tae.

"Wassup. Wyd?" Tae responded groggily.

"Air drying. Wyd?" Ky answered back, picking and pulling at her finger nails.

"Not shit. Couldn't sleep. I hope you have a good day at school and shit. And um be good?" Tae said before shuffling could be heard and Ky could then see his face hit his pillow.

"Thank you." The girl said lowly as she smiled before getting up and setting her phone on her dresser facing the ceiling.

Ky then lotioned her body and put on her under garments. After pulling on her underwear, bra, and shorts she would be wearing under her skirt, she set the phone up so he could see her.

Not like he paying attention anyways.

Truth be told, Tae had set an alarm to get up and wish his girlfriend good luck on her first day. Although he did this, he still couldn't sleep from worry that he would miss his chance.So after he completed that task, he knocked out.

Ky continued to get ready, listening to both her music and Tae's loud snores. She pulled her graphic tee over her head and used the ponytail holder on her wrist to tie a knot in the back.

After tugging and pulling on the shirt to get it looking good to her liking, she pulled the skirt up her body. It was a "mini skirt" but she sized up so it fitted like a normal skirt.

"I wonder are they going to dress code me?" Ky asked her self as she sported walks and poses in her full body mirror.

She was doing a whole lot of different moves to see if her skirt would rise up as she went on through out the day. Surprisingly it didn't rise at all since it fit so snug even though she sized up.

"Let me get ready to go to this bus stop." Ky spoke to herself as she sat down and started putting her socks and shoes on. She could drive to school but most times she chose not to do that she could save gas. Plus Isaiah had to take her car to his shop to change her oil.

Since his shop was closer to Ky's school than to her house, he was just going to drop it off up there in her parking spot before she got out of school. Ky was happy about that because he always put gas in her or her mom's car before returning it back to them. She didn't mind burning a little gas out that full tank to get some thing to eat and get back home.

After grabbing her purse to match her outfit and her backpack, Ky headed downstairs. She had 4 mins until it was time for her to stand outside her house for the bus.

During this time, she rushed to grab her breakfast which was two honey and oats granola bars and a mini bottle of a ocean spray cranberry juice. She then grabbed her lunch box from the refrigerator that she packed the prior night.

Leaving out the house, Ky did a small prayer that all would go well for her first day of school. She looked good and she wanted to feel good too. She didn't have time for an issues.

Ky begin walking to the big red stop sign as she struggled to hold her lunch box and keep her back pack on her back. She never wore it fully but instead always had it dangling from one arm. Being that she was searching high and low for her airpods in her purse, the way she wore her backpack was beginning to be a serious problem.

Finally finding her airpods, Sakyja plugged them into her ears, hearing them connect and then hearing Tae's fan noise in her ear. She had totally forgotten that he was on the phone. She wasn't going to hang up either.

Sakyja played games on her phone as she stood at the bus stop. She wished it would come on because she had no patience and she was quite tired of standing in one spot.

As if the bus driver could read her mind, Sakyja looked up seen him pulling up to her stop sign, slowly breaking. After boarding the bus, Sakyja plopped into the first available seat and played her music. She was going to try to get a nap in.

"Hey aren't you a senior?" A girl asked from the seat across from Ky.

Unaware of the mug plastered on her face, Ky nodded her head yes before asking why.

"I was just asking. I would have thought you would be driving to school" The girl responded feeling stupid for trying to make conversation with the girl.

Sakyja still unaware of her disposition, unintentionally ignored the girl because she really didn't have anything to say back.

She did drive to school sometimes. She could have told her that she didn't drive because she didn't have the gas money for all that but that wasn't her business.

Adriana, the girl who previously tried to muster up a conversation, just couldn't stop looking at Sakyja.

She wasn't gay or bisexual, she just had never seen someone that looked exactly like she wanted to look. Ky was short, slim with a butt that looked huge on her body form, she had braces, and she was just so beautiful.

It sounded weird but she was so insecure and Ky was literally a walking model of all she wanted to be like.

Sakyja cheesed at the phone as it started to move around and she could now see Tae's mouth propped wide open as he snored loudly in her ear. The snores would be obnoxious to any one else but Ky just stared stupidly into the phone, enjoying every sound of them.

The bus halted at the school, shocking Sakyja. She couldn't believe, she was back at this shit again.

Grabbing her book bag from the inside of the seat, Ky departed from the bus before sighing and walking through the double doors of hell.

"Kyyy!!! You look so pretty. Def my fav senior!" Alyssa, this very bubbly girl Ky met from volleyball, greeted her.

"Lissieee! Thank you hunny, you look gorgeous as well!" Ky greeted back with slight energy but not as much as Alyssa had. It was still too early.

"Friendly bitch." Jaliy walked up, bumping Ky and rolling her eyes.

"Girl bitch please hoe. You the friendliest of them all. Plus you know I barely fuck with that girl. I've just matured." Ky shrugged.

Alyssa was cool but Ky hated playing volleyball with her. She had a take-over spirit and everytime Ky called the ball, she would dive over & cost the game. It was annoying as hell but she learned to let it go once the season ended.

"Right right. You hear about Mera "dying"? For some reason I don't believe the shit." Jaliy laughed off.

"Girl what? Naw I haven't heard of no shit like that." Ky began. Even thought she never liked Mera it was always weird for her to hear that people she once saw, she would never see again.

The two girls sat down at the cafeteria table and continued talking about it. Ky was so shocked hearing the backstory of what happened.

"Im dead serious." Jaliy said knowing the girl thought that she was playing. "My mom was telling me about it this morning. She was literally all over the news. I heard it was a  pretty gruesome way to die ."

"Wow. I wonder who she pissed off to make them want to hurt her that bad." Ky pondered. It's one thing to fight but to have someone want to take your life from you? That's crazy.

"Your guess is as good as mine." Liy shrugged her shoulder. All she knew was she was going to try to gossip about it with Juke because he knew everything. She would surely find out from him.

I feel like we should all hang out again as a friend group. You know how we were at the beginning of the summer? It seem like we never do that anymore." Ky pouted. Even though Tae's company was definitely enjoyable she was tired of it just being them.

Ky had never had multiple friends. She never hung out with any one other than her mom, and bestfriend. After feeling how it felt to actually be a teenager and have friends, she always longed for it.

"Yea. I miss it too but it seem like we just getting older and older as the months pass us by. You know I usually be the partying type but even I be wanting to be in the house and just make my money. Jaliy shrugged, making sense.

"Yes but that's why we should hang out more now. Because in a minute it's not going to be no more "growing up", we just gone be grown. And who knows? We may have kids and our own separate lives and really not have time. We have time now though, we should cherish it." Ky said, also making sense.

"Yea you're right..." Jaliy dragged off before hearing the bell ring, indicating that it was time to report to first period. They only had 5 minutes to get class and her first period was all the way in the other building. Therefore, Jaliy quickly bid her goodbyes and was on her way.

On the other hand, Sakyja's first period was literally a minute walk away, on the Fine Arts hall.

Plugging her airpods back into her ears, Sakyja slowly walked to her first period. She knew people were behind her complaining about how slow she was walking but she could care less.

Hearing the end of call notification in her airpod, Ky's face frowned up. Why did he hang up?

Instead of texting like she wanted to, she decided to leave it alone. She didn't want to seem pressed.

Just as her mind tried to wonder and overthink, a text from Tae came in.

I can't hold the phone all day.

Ky locked her phone before entering her class room. Her first period was Personal Finance.

She didn't have a problem with the course but she didn't like the teacher.

Ms.Adams was the teacher but she was also the cheer coach. Ky only didn't like her because when she tried out for the cheer team Coach Adams would pick favorites.

She made the team, no doubt but Coach Adams would work her extra hard, didn't let her fall out cheers but would expect her to teach everyone else, and all other types of bullshit. Ky quit within the next month. It wasn't worth all that money if she wasn't going to enjoy it.

As the day went on Sakyja just learned her new classes and got familiar with where they were. The time was now 1:58 and she was just waiting to be dismissed at 2:05. She couldn't wait to take a shower and let her body feel her bed.

Looking down at her phone after hearing it ding, she saw a text from Tae. She hadn't heard from him since he hung up and texted that morning.

Ky contemplated about texting back because now she was sad. She did want to go with him after school but she felt some type of way that he hadn't said nothing to her all day.

The bell rang and Ky instantly got up heading to the car drivers exit. School wasn't super bad but she wouldn't spend a second extra up there than she had to.

Exiting out the doors, Sakyja pressed the button on her car so she could find it. It was so many students everywhere and cars driving off, she couldn't begin to remember anything.

"BESTIE BAE!" Sakyja heard Jaliy call out making her snap her head around and look at her crazily.

"Don't be freaking embarrassing." Ky gritted to her, walking more fast.

Even though Ky had expanded her social life, she was pretty much still the same. She still hated everything loud and extra. The only exception would be when she or her friends were within the four walls of any of their homes.

"Girl my bad damn, I was just coming to ask if you want to come over today? Jaliy asked.

Ky paused. She wanted to go with Tae but she wasn't sure if she would even muster up the courage to ask him. She also wouldn't mind going with her best friend, they hadn't hung out in a while.

"You look like you contemplating. It's okay if you want to go with Tae." Jaliy shrugged.

"How'd you know that?" Ky asked shocked.

"That's all you ever do these days. It's like becoming the usual." Jaliy responded now walking to up to her door and grabbing the handle.

They somehow parked next to eachother, it was not planned.

"Don't say it like that Liy." Ky said now feeling bad.

"Oh it's cool." Jaliy said and before Ky could say anything else, she was getting in her car and slamming the door shut.

Ky couldn't do anything but stare at her in the car, in shock. Jaliy beeping her horn knocked her right out of the her state of shock.

Looking directly at her now, instead of just into the air around her, Ky could see Liy waving her hand to direct her out of the way. As Ky moved, Jaliy drove off fast.

Ky got in her car, now agitated as well. She began to talk to herself as she drove home. Only thing that was brightening her mood even just a little was the full tank of gas and money in the cup holder. She dropped a mental note to tell Isaiah thank you.

"Who is Jaliy to tell me I'm always around someone? I am not always around Tae." Ky fussed.

"Furthermore even if I was, why can't she just be happy for me? She knows I don't really get no boyfriends. The world?" She continued.

And this rant to herself, continued all the way until she got home. When she got home, she went inside, spoke to her mom, and locked herself away into her room.

As time went on, she had taken her tub. She was now watching Black Lightning as she sketched in her sketch book. This was soon interrupted by her phone going off from a text.

This agitated her more because she wanted to just sit in her room and be sappy. What Jaliy said really did make her feel away because this was the second time it was brought up.

Sakyja also knew that Jaliy doesn't and wouldn't pick for no reason. She wasn't unreasonable and always had valid reasons behind all her feelings.

Letting out a long deep sigh, Ky got up from her bed and slipped on her teddy bear slippers. She grabbed her phone before shutting off the light and heading down stairs.

"Hey lil mama." Isaiah spoke to her, looking up from Sakina's head. He was cutting her tracks out from her sew in.

"Hey. Thank you by the way." Sakyja responded, keeping it short before heading out the door and to Tae's car.

Tae looked up from his CarPlay screen as he heard someone tug on his door. He had been trying to connect his other phone out of boredom.

Unlocking the door, he just stared at Ky plop herself down in the seat & snatch the door shut and locking it. She knew one thing Tae didn't play about was sitting in the car with the doors unlocked.

"Don't get in here doing all that. I haven't done shit to you." Tae shrugged now picking up on her attitude which was making him have an attitude.

"I can get back out." Ky shrugged back.

"Ok." The boy said hitting the locks. He wasn't in the mood for her nasty ass attitude. Well he was actually feeling alright until she came around him with the fuckery. She knew he couldn't stand that shit.

"You better be lucky it's raining." Ky found any excuse to not leave. One drop of water hit the windshield and Tae was pretty sure it was because he had just left the car wash.

"Yea ight. You need to calm all that shit down Sakyja. I been patient with you but I'on play all that extra ass shit." Tae spoke serious to her after turning her face towards him and looking her in the eyes.

Ky just looked past his head since eye contact made her nervous.

"You understand me?" Tae said gripping her chin a little tighter.

"Yes." Ky spoke softly as she sunk into her seat now on the verge of tears. It was a lot going on today and Ky was still the same ole Ky so of course she was ready to shed tears.

"Dont do that shit mama." Tae said after hearing her start to sniffle.

Ky quickly wiped her tears that fell when she blinked and turned her body towards the door.

"You want me to take you back home?" Tae asked.

Ky shook her head before he even finished his sentence.

"So you'n hear me? Ok bet." Tae chuckled before turning into a nearby parking lot so he could turn around and head the other way.

"I said no SeAntae." Ky croaked out. She didn't understand why he was being so mean today.

"Use your words next time. I can't see you, I'm driving." Tae sighed before heading back towards his house.

Ky knew he was right so she decided against saying anything else and instead just propped her  elbow onto the arm rest, leaning on it to take a nap.

Tae continued to drive as he turned his music up a little but not too loud to disturb her sleep. They was close to his house so he ain't understand why the crazy girl was going to sleep anyways.

"Mama." Tae said reaching over to tap on her thigh. About 7 minutes had passed and they were getting close to turning on his street.

"Mama get up" Tae said as he tapped her thigh again.

"Hmmmm?" Ky groaned in her sleep, turning to the door to get comfortable again.

"Sakyja." Tae raised his voice making her instantly turn around and look at him. Nobody called her Sakyja for real unless she was in some type of trouble. So everytime she heard it, her heart dropped.

"We here." Tae said internally laughing at her spooked fast. She looked so scared like she was about to get a whooping.

"Man I thought I was in trouble!" Ky laughed after her face softened and her heart started beating normally again.

"Come on crazy girl." Tae chuckled before getting out and going to open her door.

Ky stepped out and stretched all dramatically while sighing loudly as Tae looked at her crazily.

"Come on big daddy." Ky giggled as she grabbed his hand and led him to his own front door.

Tae internally smiled. That daddy name did some to him. Joke or no joke.

The two entered the house, the scents from the wall plug ins hitting their nose and the cool air hitting their face.

I'm not going to discontinue it tho, I just really been brainstorming ideas on how to turn this book into some interesting fr.

& not just the same typical wattpad book.
