"Welcome back to Chicago Stefan" Klaus spoke stepping out of the car into a warehouse. "What are we doing here?" I asked walking over to him as he stood at a door watching as a truck drove into the car park.
"I know how much Stefan loved it here" Klaus smiled at me before looking over at Stefan. "Bringing back the good old ripper days?" He asked with a small laugh.
"Blacked out most of them, a lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are all a blur" Stefan shrugged looking at the hybrid who just chuckled to himself. "Well that is a crying shame, the details are what make it legend"
Klaus looked back out the door as the truck parked up. "Word was the ripper of Monterrey got lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was Prohibition, everything was off limits then, which made everything so much fun" Klaus smirked looking like he was reminiscing something from when back when. "Chicago was magical"
"Yeah well I'll take your word for it, like I said I dont remember most of it" Stef spoke staring at Klaus. "Gettinv down to business then" Klaus chuckled.
"Why am I still with you? We had our fun, your hybrids failed. I mean don't you want to move on?" Stef asked crossing his arms over his chest.
"We're going to see my favorite witch, If anyone can help us with our hybrid problem it's her" Klaus told us before shutting the door and walking back to the car where one of his minions was stood holding the door open. One the 3 of us was in he drove us to a small bar where I'm guessing the witch Klaus wants to see will be.
Maybe I can go to my house I have here, check it out make sure everything's okay.
"Looks familiar doesn't it?" Klaus asked Stefan as we stepped inside the bar. "I can't believe this place is still here" Stefan mumbled looking around. I knew what witch worked here, Gloria, a greedy witch who wants nothing but power, it's why I never came here when I was in Chicago.
If she found out that I was the Salvatore witch she'd want nothing more than to have my spells and grimoires. "So a hybrid walks in to a bar-" Klaus started but Gloria cut him off. "Stop, you might be a hybrid but you're not funny" I laughed making her look at me.
"I know you" She stated staring at me. "Do you?" I asked raising my eyebrows wondering how she knew who I was since I haven't been here before. "Lilly Marie Salvatore, the Salvatore witch, the strongest witch to ever exist" She spoke walking towards me, staring at me in shock.
"Even after 146 years my reputation still stands" I chuckled flicking my eyes over to Klaus wondering if he knew I was the Salvatore witch once upon a time, but he didn't seem surprised by the revelation, maybe that what he wanted from me, my spells which wasn't going to happen.
"Emily Bennett wrote about you" She smiled at me bring me out of my thoughts. "I'm sure she did" I mumbled staring at Gloria. "The witch who even at the age of 5 was one of the strongest witches to exist, her family disowned her because she refused to stop using her magic, out of her siblings she wa-" I cut her off not wanting to hear anymore.
"Alright, I get it, you're a fan girl, but we're not here to talk about my life, Klaus wants you" I told her before walking over to the bar Stefan following me, leaving Klaus to speak to Gloria.
"Do you miss it?" Stefan asked as I poured myself a drink. "Miss what?" I asked him not having a clue as to what he was going on about. "Been a witch?" He clarified.
"Of course I miss it, I was one of the most powerful witches, maybe even more so than the original witch... If I hadn't have become a vampire I would have been killed anyway as soon as the town found out, and my guess is that Giuseppe would have been begging to be the one to light the match" I spoke emotionless.
"I'm sorry" He whispered so quietly I only just heard him. "Eh, I guess I should be thanking you, it's been one hell of a ride" I chuckled holding my glass up to him before downing it. Looking back at him I noticed he was staring at the bar been depressing.
I poured myself another drink and having a gulp only to spit it out as my eyes landed on a picture. "What the hell!" Stefan snapped glaring at me, but I ignored him and grabbed the picture that was on the wall slapping it in front of him. "You never told me you knew Klaus" I spoke looking down at the picture of him and Klaus looking like best buds in the 20's
"What?" He asked looking down at the picture confused before walking over to Klaus and basically demanded him to tell him how they knew eachother. "Chicago's full of surprises, Stefan. Come on let's go" He told us pulling me behind him.
All the way back to the warehouse Stefan was constantly nagging about how he knew Klaus and I was tired of hearing him. "Stefan! He's not going to answer you, just leave it! You know he likes to be dramatic you might as well indulge him" I groaned making Klaus chuckle at me and Stefan glare.
"What the hell is going on? Answer me!" Stef shoutes ignoring everything I've just said. "Let's just say we didn't get off to a brilliant start, to be honest I hated you" Klaus spoke as he flicked his eyes over to me before back at Stefan.
He went on to tell him that was basically dating his little sister which I gotta admit was a little shocker, I couldn't imagine him with anyone other than Katherine or Elena.
"Your sister, so I knew another Original vampire?" Stefan asked surprised since he didn't remember. "If you can't handle it, then don't ask" Klaus told him as we walked into the warehouse.
I stopped in my tracks staring at the coffins that was laid out, they definitely weren't there before. Klaus walked over to one opening it revealing a desiccated vampire who had a dagger in her chest, she had blonde hair with a white beaded flapper dress on.
"Do you recognize her?" Klaus asked looking at me. "Nope, am I supposed to?" I asked him. "Well don't tell her that, she gets her temper from me" I rolled my eyes noticing he didn't answer my question. "Because you're all big and scary" I chuckled.
I sat on top of one of the coffins waiting for his sister to wake up. "You're been disrespectful to the dead love" I rolled my eyes at Klaus shaking my head. "Oh I'm sure they'll get over it" I grumbled as he looked down at his sister who still hadn't woke up.
"Come on Rebekah" He sighed before looking over at me and Stefan. "She's been dramatic" I chuckled. "And I guess she gets that from you too" I spoke walking over to him. "Knock it off Lilly" He mumbled walking over to the security guard compelling him to tell Rebekah to meet us at Gloria's before he lets her feed off him.
"Come, we're leaving" Klaus told us walking out of the warehouse. "Now where the hell are we going?" I groaned as we followed behind him.
"We're going to Stefan's apartment, he doesn't believe I knew him in the 20's and I'm going to prove it to him" Klaus told me before he sped off. I flicked my eyes over to Stefan before following Klaus to the apartment.
As we arrived Klaus kicked the door down before walking in with me and Stefan behind him. "What a charming little homestead. Do you feel that? Is anybody here?" Klaus questioned looking at Stefan. "It's been vacant for decades. People must break in all the time. Why'd you bring me here?" Stefan asked Klaus looking around his old apartment.
I started noseying around ignoring the ridiculous conversation between Stefan and Klaus, I wanted to see what my little brother was up to in the 20's. "You believe me now?" Klaus questioned bringing me out of my thoughts, I snapped my head over to them noticing he opened a secret door.
Stefan flicked his eyes over at me before looking at Klaus then finally walking in. What did he think Klaus was gonna do, lock him in there? I rolled my eyes. "Right can we go, you've proved him wrong, I need to do something" I spoke walking over to the now broken door.
Stefan walked out with fear and frustration in his eyes. "Yeah. Can we go? I found a bottle" He asked looking at Klaus showing him the bottle but he seemed in a hurry which confused me.
"What do you need to do love?" Klaus asked as the 3 of us made our way out of the apartment. "I need to go to my house, I need to check on it and I can get changed." I told him as I turned around to look at him.
"Let's go" Klaus smirked, great, I should've known he'd want to come with me. "Fine" I grumbled.
It took us 5 minutes to get there and as we stopped outside the large steel gates Stef chuckled. "What did you do? Compel yourself some rich family to let you live here?" I rolled my eyes. "I compelled it all yes, but not a rich family" I told him as I put in the pin to open the gate.
"What did you do?" Klaus asked as he looked at the large house that was revealed as the gates opened. "I compelled myself the property, designed the house myself and compelled people to get it built for me" I shrugged as we walked up to the door.
As I walked in one of the humans I compelled to stay at the house and keep it clean looked over at me shocked. "Oh Miss Salvatore, I didn't know you were coming. I'm sorry, we haven't got anything ready for you" She apologized. "It's alright Miss Gibson... You'll do marvellously" I smirked before speeding over to her biting into her neck drinking her blood.
Obviously I didn't let her die, I needed her alive so no vampire could enter without been invited in, so after feeding her my blood to heal her Klaus coughed making me look over to him and Stefan who was still outside.
"Miss Gibson, can you invite my friends in please" I asked looking over at her. "I can't" She told me, with no emotion, making me smirk. "You can invite the both of them in" I compelled her.
Miss Gibson looked over to Klaus and Stefan. "Please, come in" She told them, Klaus smirked as he walked past her. "Gotta admit love, you sure know how to design a house" He told me as he looked around. "It's a talent of mine" I smirked at him walking into the living room Klaus and Stef following me. "So what are we doing here?" Stef asked sitting down.
"You 2 can help yourself to my alcohol" I started as I pressed a button that was at the side of the fireplace making the bookshelf turn around revealing a bar that was stocked up with alcohol. "I'm going to get changed"
I got a quick shower before getting changed into a pair of blue and white shorts and crop top set pairing it with a pair of white Louboutins, and curled my hair.
"Right I'm ready" I spoke as I made my way to the living room. "Let's go to Gloria's. Rebekah might be there" Klaus spoke standing up, looking at me up and down with a smirk on his face making me give him a cheeky wink, at least I knew he liked what he saw.
As we arrived at Gloria's it was full of humans which would have been good but I'm sure the witch wouldn't appreciate me killing a bunch of them, so I had to sit and have a couple of drink at the bar with the boys while we waited for Rebekah.
"Where's Rebekah?" Gloria asked as she placed a bottle of beer each in front of us. "She'll be here, I can't just conjure her up on demand" Klaus told her picking up his drink and looking at Stef.
"What's with you? I thought Chicago was your playground" He asked raising his eyebrows. "So this is why you asked me to be your wingman? Because you liked the way that I tortured innocent people?" Stef asked with a little laugh.
"Well, that's certainly half of it" Klaus nodded making me raise my eyebrows. "What's the other half?" Stefan asked confused as Klaus started to pour us all a shot.
"The other half, Stefan, is that you used to want to be my wingman" He revealed sliding a shot glass to Stef along the counter and passing me one.
Apparently according to the story they were pretty good friends after a while.
"To friendship" Klaus held his glass up towards Stefan who grabbed his own and clinked them together.
I groaned before downing my shot. "Broody over there gets some answers but I don't, great" I mumbled before pouring us all another shot.
This just seems to be getting better and better, notice the sarcasm.
" So I'm confused, if we were such great friends, then why do I only know you as the hybrid dick who sacrificed my girlfriend on an altar of fire? Huh?" Stefan asked after we downed the shot.
"All good things must come to an end" Klaus shrugged as he poured us another and went on to tell us the story of how their bromance ended.
"You compelled me to forget?" Stefan asked with realisation. "It was time for Rebekah and I to move on, better to have a clean slate" Klaus told him as he downed his shot.
"But why? You shouldn't have to cover your tracks...unless you're running from someone" Stefan tries to find out but Klaus wasn't gonna tell anymore of the story. "Storytime's over"
"I need another drink, a real one" Stefan spoke before leaving the bar making me chuckle. "I guess someone's going to be ripped apart before Stefan feels guilty and tries to put them back together" I chuckled bringing my glass upto my lips.
When Stefan finally came back he stormed over towards us with a scowl on his face grabbing my drink and drinking it all before placing the empty glass on the bar. "Hey prissy pants, what the hell is wrong with you? You don't just take a ladies drink, manners young man" I chuckled before pouring myself another.
"Go away, Lilly" Stefan glared at me and in return I gave him a deadly glare himself. "Don't take your anger out on me Mr" I told him before downing my drink looking over at Klaus. I've had enough of my little brother.
"Where is this sister of yours?" I asked Klaus as I poured myself another drink, I was bored.
"She should be here... Like I said she can be a bit dramatic and waiting for me to head back to the warehouse" Klaus sighed downing his drink. "I guess that's where we're going now?" I asked him, he nodded at me before taking the drink out of my hand. "Manners old man" I grumbled as he walked out the bar. Eugh, kill me already! Just someone stick a stake in my heart. Please.
"Stay out of sight so I can talk to her first" Klaus told us as we pulled up to the warehouse making me roll my eyes, this family sure do like the dramatics.
"Rebekah..." I heard Klaus call out as I stayed in the shadow with Stefan. "It's your big brother... Come out, come out wherever you are" He sang making me roll my eyes, see dramatic.
I heard a rush of wind before I heard a woman's voice. "Go to hell Nik" I looked over to them obviously staying in the shadows so Klaus doesn't have one of his bitch fits, looking closely I noticed that Rebekah had shoved a dagger through Klaus's chest.
I like her already.
"Don't pout, you knew it wouldn't hurt me" Klaus tormented her as he pulled the dagger out of his chest. "Yeah, well I was hoping it would" Rebekah retorted making me smirk.
This girl is officially my new best friend.
"I understand your upset with me Rebekah... So I'm going to let that slide just this once. I brought you a peace offering" Klaus told her as Stefan walked forward revealing himself.
Rebekah snapped her head over to him, staring at him. "Stefan" She whispered, I could tell Stefan didn't know what the hell to do, he didn't know her, but Klaus changed that since he rushed over compelling him. "Now you remember"
I stood watching as Stefan zoned out for a couple of seconds before looking over at Rebekah taking a step towards her. "Rebekah" He whispered looking at her... lovingly?
What the hell?!
"Stefan" Klaus called making him snap his head towards him. "I remember you... We were friends" Stefan whispered. "We are friends, Stefan" Klaus told him smiling before looking around. "Where is she?" Klaus asked making me smirk surprised he can't seem me with his hybrid sight.
"Who are you talking about?" Rebekah asked him confused. "Your old friends is somewhere around here" Klaus told her making her stare at him confused.
Old friend?
As I started walking towards them Rebekah snapped her head towards me as she heard my heels click against the floor, once her eyes landed on me they filled with tears. "Lilly" She whispered before she ran over to me pulling me into a hug. "You're alive. You're alive" She mumbled still hugging me whilst I just stood with my arms pinned to my side confused. How the hell does she know me?
I pulled away from her not missing the hurt in her eyes. "You don't know me do you?" She asked sounding hurt aswel. I shook my head not knowing what to say. "Am I supposed to?" I asked raising my eyebrows.
"Rebekah" Klaus warned her making me glare at him, I wanted to know. "Now the reason you're here. Gloria tells me you know how to contact the original witch" Klaus stated. "The original witch?" Rebekah asked confused. "What do you have that Gloria needs?" Klaus asked making Rebekah raise her hand to her neck, only to start freaking out when she didn't find what she was wanting to grab.
"Where's my necklace? What did you do with it? I never take it off!" Rebekah snapped. "I don't know. I didn't touch it" Klaus snapped back making me groan hearing them 2 bicker. "We need to find it, Nik, now, I want it back!" Rebekah snapped. "Tell me that's not what she needs, Rebekah!" Klaus shouted sounding pissed off.
Rebekah started searching her coffin but when she didn't find it she threw it onto the floor. All the while I was stood thinking as to why the necklace was so important, any witch could use a relative's blood to contact a dead witch, every witch knows this, so what the hell is Gloria up to?
I sighed. "Just calm down, Gloria can find it. We'll go back to my house for the night, but you missy can calm the fuck down before you wreck my house" I told her before I walked over to Klaus and took the car keys out of his pocket and made my way to the car.
I wanted a good night's sleep in one of my own beds.
