Chapter 7: Sorority Sole Sisters

The cool fall breeze rippled across the grassy lawn as six young women from Theta Sorority gathered for a special group photo. It was a tradition passed down every year to mark their bond and celebrate their unique sisterhood. The theme was simple but memorable: bare feet with the letters of their sorority spelled across their soles. This year, Sophia, Maddie, Tessa, Carly, Holly, and Brooke were tasked with keeping the tradition alive.

Sophia, confident and outgoing as always, lounged on the grass with a wide grin. "Alright, ladies, let's get this going. Maddie, you've got the markers, right?"

Maddie, the creative and artsy one, pulled out a bundle of colorful markers from her bag. "Got them! Let's do black for the letters and maybe add a cute design around the heart at the end. It'll look adorable."

Tessa, their natural leader, clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Okay, we need to decide on the order of the letters. Who's getting what?"

"I want the heart!" Carly chimed in, her playful and lighthearted personality shining through.

Brooke, calm and mature, nodded in agreement. "I'll take the 'A.' I've got the steadiest foot, so Maddie can work her magic."

Holly, shy but kind-hearted, hesitated. "Um, I can do the 'H,' I guess."

With everyone sorted, they sat in a line on the grass, their bare feet facing forward. Maddie took her place as the designated artist. She knelt down in front of Sophia, who was first in line with the "T."

"Ticklish feet, anyone?" Maddie teased, uncapping the marker. She drew the first bold letter on Sophia's sole, her fingers brushing against Sophia's toes.

Sophia let out a surprised laugh and flinched. "Maddie! That tickles! You're doing it on purpose, aren't you?"

Maddie smirked. "Hey, it's not my fault you're this ticklish! Hold still, alright!"

The other girls giggled as they watched Sophia squirm, her laughter echoing across the lawn. Maddie moved on to Holly, who nervously stretched out her foot.

"Okay, Holly, deep breaths," Maddie said gently. But as soon as the marker touched Holly's arch, she burst into uncontrollable giggles.

"I can't! It tickles too much!" Holly squealed, covering her face with her hands.

Carly leaned over, watching Holly's reaction with amusement. "Oh, come on, Holly, you've got to let her finish. It's not that bad!"

"You're next, Carly," Brooke reminded her with a smirk.

Carly stuck out her tongue playfully. "I'm not scared."

When it was Carly's turn, she proved her point by holding still... for all of three seconds before collapsing into laughter. "Okay, okay, maybe I lied! Maddie, you're dangerous with that marker!"

Tessa, ever the responsible leader, tried to maintain some semblance of order. "Focus, ladies. We need to get this done before the sun sets." But even Tessa couldn't suppress her laughter when it was her turn, her composed demeanor breaking as Maddie traced the outline of the "A" on her arch.

Finally, it was Brooke's turn, and Maddie saved the heart design for last. Brooke's calm exterior faltered as the marker glided over her sole. "Maddie, you better finish quickly, or I'm going to—"

"Going to what?" Maddie teased, drawing the heart with exaggerated precision.

The girls erupted into laughter, their bond strengthened by the shared silliness of the moment. With the design complete, they admired their work.

Sophia leaned back, propping her hands behind her. "We look amazing. Theta tradition officially upheld."

Carly pulled out her phone. "We've got to get a shot for Instagram. #SoleSisters."

The group posed, lifting their feet proudly toward the camera, the letters of "THETA" and the heart on Brooke's sole perfectly aligned. The photo captured more than just their sorority name—it captured the joy, camaraderie, and unbreakable bond they shared.

As they reviewed the photo, Holly grinned. "You know, this might be my favorite sorority tradition yet."

Tessa nodded. "Mine too. Who knew ticklish feet could be the key to sisterhood?"

The group dissolved into laughter once more, their shared moment becoming a cherished memory they'd carry with them long after their days at Theta.
