Chapter 35: Good Morning Giggles

The studio of Good Morning, City! buzzed with energy under bright lights and colorful backdrops. Morgan Taylor and Jenny Blake, the dynamic co-host duo, sat side by side on their plush beige couch, and mugs in hand with the letter of their first names. They were ready to welcome their guest. Across from them, comedian Eddie Collins leaned back casually in his seat, dressed in a black coat and radiating confidence.

"Alright, everyone, let's give a big Good Morning, City! welcome to the one and only Eddie Collins!" Morgan announced, flashing her signature bright smile as the audience erupted into applause.

Eddie grinned and waved to the crowd. "Wow, look at you all! You guys are way too awake for this hour. It's unnatural!"

Laughter rolled through the studio as Eddie leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.

"So, Eddie," Jenny started, her wavy dark hair bouncing as she tilted her head curiously, "you've been on quite the comedy tour lately. Any new embarrassing stories you'd like to share with us?"

Eddie's smirk widened. " Jenny, my entire life is an embarrassing story at this point."

The trio laughed, and the conversation flowed effortlessly until Jenny, with a sly twinkle in her eye, shifted gears.

"Okay, Eddie," she said, glancing conspiratorially at Morgan, "we did some research before today's show, and there's something our audience needs to know about you."

Morgan's smile turned mischievous. "Oh yes, we must address this."

Eddie raised an eyebrow and leaned back, spreading his arms out across the couch. "Oh boy. Lay it on me."

Jenny, being the bolder co-host, pressed in with the topic. "So... apparently, in a recent podcast episode, you openly admitted that you have—how shall we put this—a thing for women's feet?"

The audience let out a collective laugh, and Eddie's grin turned shameless. "Guilty as charged!"

Morgan covered her mouth to stifle her giggle. "Wow! You're not even going to deny it?"

"Absolutely not," Eddie said proudly. "I'm an honest man. And honestly? Feet are underrated!"

The crowd erupted again, and Jenny placed a hand on her hip. "Well, since you're such a self-proclaimed foot connoisseur, Eddie, I have a challenge for you."

Morgan immediately caught on. "Oh no. Oh, Jenny, no."

"Oh yes, Morgan!" Jenny exclaimed, kicking off one of her black flats. "Let's see whose foot Eddie prefers!"

The audience cheered as Morgan sighed dramatically but followed suit, slipping off one of her tan heels. Both women stretched their bare feet towards Eddie, placing them on the coffee table in front of him.

Eddie rubbed his hands together like a cartoon villain. "Ladies, ladies, please. One at a time! I'm a professional."

The laughter was deafening as Eddie leaned closer, carefully examining both feet.

"Alright," he said thoughtfully, pointing at Jenny's foot. "This one has an elegant arch, lovely structure... top marks."

Jenny wiggled her toes proudly while Morgan rolled her eyes, biting back a smile.

"But," Eddie continued, pointing to Morgan's foot, "this one has a very playful vibe. Soft, smooth—like a cloud. It's a tough call!"

Morgan and Jenny were in stitches, and the audience was eating it up.

Suddenly, Eddie paused, a sly smirk spreading across his face. "You know... there's one test we haven't done yet."

Jenny's smile faltered. "Wait... no, Eddie. Don't—"

"The tickle test!" Eddie declared triumphantly.

With exaggerated slow motion, Eddie reached out and lightly dragged his finger along Jenny's arch. Jenny squealed, attempting to pull her foot back while dissolving into laughter.

"No! NO!" she cried between giggles, curling her toes.

Morgan tried to inch her foot away, but Eddie was quick. He gently grabbed her ankle and gave her arch a quick tickle. Morgan erupted into surprised laughter, her face turning pink as she tried—and failed—to maintain her professional composure.

"Okay, okay!" Morgan cried, tugging her foot back.

The audience was roaring with laughter now, and Eddie sat back with a victorious grin. "I regret nothing!"

But Brooke and Morgan exchanged a glance—one of those unmistakable "it's payback time" glances.

"Oh, Eddie..." Morgan said sweetly.

"You forgot one thing," Jenny added, mirroring her tone.

Before Eddie could react, both women lunged forward, their hands going straight for his sides.

"NO! NO!" Eddie yelled, doubling over in laughter as Morgan and Jenny tickled his ribs and sides mercilessly.

The studio audience was losing it as Eddie flailed dramatically on the couch, tears forming at the corners of his eyes.

"Okay! Mercy! Mercy!" Eddie gasped, waving his hands in surrender.

Morgan and Jenny finally backed off, collapsing back onto the couch in fits of laughter themselves.

"Well," Morgan said between breaths, wiping a tear from her eye, "I think we all learned something today: Eddie's not the only one who's ticklish!"

Jenny shook her head with a grin. "Honestly, this might be our best segment yet."

Eddie sat up, still catching his breath. "You two are dangerous, you know that?"

The trio burst into one final round of laughter as the camera panned out and the segment came to an end, the audience applauding wildly.

The Good Morning, City! logo appeared on the screen, and the show cut to commercial with Eddie still chuckling on the couch, Morgan and Jenny smiling triumphantly beside him.
