It was a Friday night at The Velvet Oak Bar. The dim glow of the bar's pendant lights reflected in Michelle's glass as she swirled the ice around with her straw. Across from her, Jimmy, the guy she had met and chatted with on an online dating app and finally meeting for the first time, chuckled at her latest gym story. He was shaking his head in disbelief.
"You seriously do CrossFit four times a week?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Michelle smirked and stretched her leg out, slipping off one of her flip-flops. "Feel for yourself," she said, propping her bare foot onto Jimmy's knee.
Jimmy hesitated for a second, then placed his hand on her calf, giving a light squeeze. His fingers traced the defined muscle as Michelle flexed slightly, showing off.
"Wow," he admitted, impressed. "That's dedication."
Flattered, Michelle leaned back with a grin. "Told you."
As Jimmy's hands lingered, they slowly trailed downward toward her foot. Almost instinctively, his fingers pressed into her sole, rubbing gently along the arch.
Michelle blinked, momentarily caught off guard. She hadn't expected that. At first, she considered pulling back, but something about his touch was careful, almost reverent. And when she looked at Jimmy, she noticed he wasn't just idly rubbing her footâhe was focused.
A smirk crept onto her lips. "Well, well," she mused. "You're a foot guy, aren't you?"
Jimmy's hands froze. His face turned a shade redder than the neon beer sign on the wall. "What? No! I mean... I just..."
Michelle tilted her head knowingly. "Come on, Jimmy. Don't lie to me."
Jimmy sighed in defeat. "Okay, fine. Yeah, I kinda have a thing for feet. But I swear, I'm into anything weird."
Michelle chuckled, lifting her foot slightly. "Hey, I didn't say it was weird. You're allowed to like what you like. So, what is it about feet that you like?"
Jimmy rubbed the back of his neck. "Honestly? I've just always been into them. I think it started when I was a kid, and... well, I also really like tickling too."
Michelle raised an eyebrow. "Tickling?"
Jimmy braced himself for judgment, but to his surprise, Michelle didn't pull away. Instead, her grin widened. "You mean like this?" she teased, wiggling her toes slightly against his hand.
Jimmy swallowed. "Uh... yeah."
Michelle leaned in slightly, lowering her voice playfully. "So, if I let you tickle my foot, would that make your night?"
Jimmy chuckled nervously. "You're messing with me."
"Not at all," Michelle replied. "Go ahead. I dare you."
Jimmy hesitated for only a second before letting his fingers lightly trace up the arch of her foot. Michelle sucked in a breath and immediately bit her lip, stifling a giggle.
"Oh, wow," she muttered, already shaking with suppressed laughter.
Encouraged, Jimmy skated his fingers along the ball of her foot, then to her toes, experimenting with different spots. Michelle twitched but kept her foot on his knee, determined not to yank away.
"Hey! Be... gentle," she managed between restrained giggles. "People are gonna think I'm crazy if I start laughing out loud."
Jimmy smirked. "Not my fault you're this ticklish."
Her fingers curled into fists as she fought to keep her laughter contained. "Okay, you really weren't kidding," she breathed, wiggling her toes as his fingers danced along them.
After a few more playful strokes, Jimmy finally relented. Michelle exhaled deeply, her cheeks still warm.
"Okay," she admitted, adjusting her posture. "That was actually kind of fun."
Jimmy grinned. "Told you."
She nudged his leg playfully before slipping her foot back into her flip-flop. "I think we're gonna need another round of drinks after that."
Jimmy waved over the bartender, still beaming. "I like the sound of that."
Later, as their glasses were refilled, Michelle shot him a teasing look. "Just so you know," she murmured, leaning in, "I'm totally making you return the favor next time."
Jimmy laughed, raising his glass. "Deal."
They clinked their drinks together with the night taking on an entirely new energy.
