A long chapter to make up for my disappearance! Sorry about that '-.-

Caleb didn't want to admit about anything to Thomas or the others, and I knew I had to respect that, even though I was already shipping him with Grey. As scary and intimidating the guy, I couldn't help but think about how romantic it would be. The shy boy and the intimidating man.
Besides, I wasn't very good at giving relationship advices;
I mean, Reagan and I kissed twice or so, and I knew he was the type of actions rather than words, but I still didn't know where we stood.
Not to mention it was the first time I felt like this.
"What are you thinking about?" Caleb asked me, rubbing his head with his dark red beanie on it.
I sighed, glancing at him from his bed. It was my first time being here, and I could tell he felt a bit bad about this fact. However, I knew that Caleb was a bit shy and timid, so I tried my best to show him I didn't mind about that. Besides, I had no right to be mad, seeing as I kept so much stuff from these guys.
"Relationships are so hard," I stated, looking up at the ceiling from my lying position. I heard him stand up from the floor, and then he came towards his bed. He gave me a look, and it took me a minute to realize he was asking if it was okay for me that he will lay besides me.
I moved towards the wall, and he took the space I previously occupied.
"I thought Reagan and you are together now," He pointed out, and I found myself sighing again.
"I don't know, I never had this sort of thing going on. I mean, yesterday when I supposedly confessed my love to Grey he seemed annoyed, but what the hell does all of this means? Are we like, boyfriend and girlfriend now?" I turned my head on the pillow towards him. "He said he liked me, and we kissed. You're a boy, does that mean he sees me as his girlfriend now?" Caleb blinked at me as he turned his head towards me, and he gave me a look.
"I'm not that great at relationships either, but even I can tell it means that you are together." Caleb said, making sure I understand.
I turned my gaze back to the ceiling. "You're speaking like I'm a complete idiot." I mentioned, and I heard him chuckle.
"Well, that's because you are a complete idiot, seeing as he hugs and hold your hand a lot. You should talk to each other, because in a healthy relationship communication is important." Caleb said.
It sounded so easy coming from his mouth. Maybe it is.
I was probably really naïve, but I couldn't be blamed for that, right?
I never actually had any friends, my aunt and uncle didn't taught me much about this sort of thing. In fact, I got my 'birds and the bees' talk from the internet.
"Whatever, I need sugar." I told Caleb in defeat, sitting up to get off the bed. Caleb sat up, raising a brow at me.
"You just ate two pieces of chocolate cake," He pointed out, looking at me as I walked to his door. "So?" I asked.
"I'm just saying, you've been on sugar high to many time this week, maybe you shouldn't-" "Finish this sentence, and I'll cut you." His eyes widened and he got up from the bed quickly.
"Which one of the tastes we have did you say you want?"
"All of them."

"I should try to manipulate Grey into admitting his undying love for you," I told Caleb as we sat in our regular table in the cafeteria. I had my elbow on his shoulder, and I was staring at his phone as he played some weird games with animals and candies. Caleb stopped, raising his eyes to me to glare at me. "You better not, Rhi." He said, then got back to his game. "Then I'll just check if his into guys, see if you have a chance. How about that?" Caleb rolled his eyes but said nothing. I'll take that as a good opportunity to do as I please, then.
"By the way, do you think that-" "Hey Rhi," A girl greeted, waving at me. I squinted my eyes, trying to remember who that girl was. She waited for me to greet her, and when she realized I didn't know who she was she cleared her throat awkwardly. "Oh um... I'm Mir, Miranda? We have P.E together," I blinked for a second, then finally remembered her.
"Oh right. Sorry, I have hard time remembering people, and you changed you hair, didn't you?" I asked, noting that her once blond hair was now dark, a similar colour to mine. She cleared her throat again, "Y-yeah, I kind of wanted to s-see how it would look on me. W-what do you think?" Mir asked, her green eyes look at my green ones, that were covered in my light relief glasses.
"Yeah, it's cool. Looks good on you," I told her with a small smile, Caleb watching over her carefully.
"Well, um.. maybe we c-can hang out sometimes? I-I'll talk to you later, bye!" She quickly walked away, putting a similar type of sunglass to mine on her eyes as she exited the room.
Caleb hummed but said nothing.
"Do you have a fan club or something?" I heard Oliver's ask me as he came to sit in front of us, the others still not here.
"Huh?" I asked, as I was really confused as to what he meant, and surprised that he was actually talking to me.
He pointed at the direction Mir left. "That girl looks exactly like you- clothes, appearance and all." I frowned, looking at the doors. "That's just a coincidence. She seems nice, she asked me twice already if we could hang out." I stated, though I wasn't very sure of what I was saying. I didn't know her, and I did get an odd vibe from her. Not because how she looked or acted. I didn't really know why.
"If you say so," He shrugged, then threw something at me.
It almost hit me in the face but I managed to catch it just in time, looking at him in question as I examined to wrapped cookie.
"Don't worry, I only put enough poison to make you pass out." Oliver said.
Did he just make a joke?
I couldn't help but smile at him, unwrapping the plastic surrounding the cookie.
Friends are hard, but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it.
Maybe.

After school, I decided I should talk to Reagan, make sure we know where we stood.
Touching wasn't enough, I needed words.
It's warm outside, since it was February, so I wore jeans short with no stockings, black sneakers and a white crop top.
"Reagan," I called out his name at the parking lot, and he raised his glance from his phone as he leaned over Thomas' car. Thomas was there with Elliot, and they were talking to each other but stopped once they heard me coming.
"Hey, are you coming over?" Thomas asked me once I was in front of them, and I glanced over Elliot quickly to make sure he was okay.
A few days ago, he returned to his house, much to my displeasure. However, the boys said that Grey is taking care of his so called mom, and that she won't be there anytime soon.
They also mentioned how it never got this bad before, which why they didn't do much about it, as his mother was barely home as it was.
And he was under eighteen, so he would've ended in a foster house when it wasn't really needed.
I was angry at them- still am-, but Elliot asked me to try and understand them and what they did. I still didn't.
"No, I have to go home early, but I need to talk to Reagan first." Reagan gave me a look, trying to figure out what was wrong.
Thomas only had to look at me once to understand, because he was smart and a great friend. He nodded once and told Reagan they'll wait for him to come back.
Elliot's eyes were asking if I need something, and I took his hand in mine once to reassure him I was fine, then turned to Reagan who had his eyes on our hands.
I immediately placed mine in his, pulling him after me as we walked away together.
"What is it?" he asked once we stopped walking, concern clear in his gaze.
I wanted to know we were a thing for sure. I wanted him to ask me to be his girlfriend. I didn't care I was being greedy, not seeing the words 'I like you' as enough.
"Are we a thing?" I asked, awkwardly scratching my head.
He blinked, taken back. "What?" He asked.
I sighed. Is he going to make me ask again?
"Am like... your girlfriend? I mean, I never had... Shit, I don't know what I'm saying," I looked down to my feet, trying to get my thoughts together when I felt his hand on my face, making me look at him.
His finger traced over my jaw until he had his hand palming me cheek. His grey eyes gazed deep into mine, and I just couldn't turn away.
I'm so screwed, was all I could think. My stomach was a mess, my heart beating so hard in my chest. It felt like I was going to have a heart attack, or something.
"If you need me to spell out what I feel about you, then I guess that's one way to put it. You're mine, Rhi. No one can touch you." I stared at him, feeling my face heating from his words.
If he kept this up, I might actually melt.
Then, I smiled at him, and it was such a big smile that my cheeks were throbbing. "Then that makes you mine, cute boy. I've never had a boyfriend before," I admitted, suddenly feeling shy.
Reagan smiled back at me, his eyes warm and packed with feelings. "I've never had a girlfriend, either." He said.
I wasn't that surprised, seeing as he wasn't very social or friendly. A bit like me, I guess. Maybe too much like me.
We were so similar it was insane.
He lowered his head, his lips touching mine until it turned to a full kiss. He turned my head, trying to open my mouth to slip his tongue inside my mouth. I've never kissed like that, not even with him. It was surreal how he took control over my mouth, making me go weak all over.
When he pulled away, we were breathing hard and fast. He leaned down again to place another soft kiss on my lips, and then another one- almost as if he could get enough of me.
But then, of course our perfect moment had to be ruined.
"Rhiannon Martins, please head to the principal's office." We heard those words being spoken through the speakers. Reagan groaned, making me laugh at him.
He leaned his forehead on mine for a few seconds, then pulled away. "Come on, I'll walk you there." He said, but I shook my head. "Nah, it's fine. Go, Thomas and Elliot are waiting." I said, and he looked ready to object.
I pushed him forward a bit, "It's fine. I'll talk to you later?" Reagan stared at me for a moment, but then sighed, leaning to give me a soft kiss on top of my head, hugging me to him.
"Don't get into trouble," He ordered, making me stare at him. "I won't, Geez. I don't get into troubles that often." I remarked, but he gave me another look.
"Okay fine, whatever." He rolled his eyes and signed me to go. I gave him another grin before I unwillingly walked away, wondering what my uncle wanted from me.
*
"Uncle Bart?" I called out his name as I entered the room, looking around for him. However, he was no where to be found. I frowned, turning around as I heard to door I just closed being opened. "Hey, what did you-" I stopped, feeling my whole body freezing as I stared at the person in front of me.
"Mr. Hobson," I greeted, taking a few steps back as I tried to call in my bravery.
"Ms. Martins," He greeted back, coming in after closing the door behind him. And locking it.
I stared at his hands as he did so, immediately looking around for an escape. "What the fuck do you thing you're doing?" I asked harshly, trying mot to look as scared as I felt. He walked towards me, but this time I stayed rooted.
Until his hand collided with my shoulder, pushing me until I fell on the table, almost falling to the fall. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" I asked, raising my hands in a defensive mode.
"Don't you think you were able to fool me, you stupid girl," He said through gritted teeth, moving closer until he had me caged between him and the table.
Before I could do anything, he raised his hand and slapped me, making me stumble to the floor. I was beyond shocked. I fought a lot in the past, yes- but with kids my age. Never with an older person, much less someone who has authority over me.
For a moment I only stared at him as he moved closer. Then, I pushed myself up. Vice principal, or not. He was going down.
I came closer, throwing my fist at him. A crack was heard as my fist made connection with his face, and I almost smiled in satisfaction. When he turned his gaze back at me, I didn't know who this person was any longer.
In a swift motion, he moved his hand towards me, and I suddenly felt a prick in my arm.
I looked down, seeing the needle in my arm before dizziness took over. I stumbled, feeling his hands on my arms pushing me onto the table.
I struggled, but my arms felt so weak suddenly. I couldn't move, only watch as he hovered over me.
I felt sick. I wanted to throw up. What the hell did he want for me?
"I have warned for a long time not to meddle, but you just keep bothering me. Maybe if your fate will be like those boys, I'll finally get some peace and quite." I felt my eyes widening in shock and surprise. He couldn't have meant... the missing boys? Was he the one responsible for this?
Panic and adrenaline took over my body, helping me kick him in his crouch. It was enough for him to fall on the floor, freeing me.
I stumbled, trying to get of the table and out of the room. I fell on the floor and watched through hooded eyes as Mr. Hobson slowly stood up.
I had to get out of here.
I found myself running to the door, messing with the lock to open the door. Hands grabbed me from behind and I threw my elbow back, having enough luck that it actually made contact. I heard him floor to the floor, earning me a bit more time.
I got the door to unlock finally, but as I went to exit the room Mr. Hobson hand warped around my ankle, making me fall to the floor, face planting into it as my hands didn't stop the impact in time. My teeth bit into my tongue and I tasted blood.
"H-Help!" I barely managed to yell, but no one heard. Where the hell was everyone?
"It won't help you, stupid girl," Mr. Hobson stated as he hovered me once again on the floor. I felt cold metal on the side of my neck, and immediately knew it was a blade.
"You are done for, little girl. You should never have come here." My body slumped on the floor, eyes seconds away from closing. I was a minute from going unconscious.
There was nothing I could do.
But then suddenly, the weight on top of me was lifted. I heard yelling. Maybe someone found me.
Arms came around me, turning me until I was laying on the floor on my back.
"-Rhi, can you hear me?" Officer Jason? "Rhi? Rhi!"
I knew I would be okay now that Officer Jason was here.
I felt safe. I knew I could trust him. And it went beyond the fact he already saved me twice.
There was something about him, and I didn't know what it was.
Then I fell into the darkness.
