Walking inside my first class (or second, since I was late for the first) was weird.
Everyone stared at me, not understanding what the hell a girl was doing in an all boys' school. Even the teacher had hard time to believe me.
When she told me to take a sit at the corner in the back of the class, I could feel the eyes of the boys on me as I walked toward my seat. The teacher continued with the lesson but some of the students still stared at me, while other stole glances every now and then.
The guy next to me was asleep. I wondered if I was supposed to wake him up. However since no one tried to, I didn't bother.
Ping.
I propped my elbow on the table, crossing my leg on top of the other to cover the fact I pulled my phone out of my bag. Who will text me at school's hours?
The number was blocked. I moved my eyes on the other students in the room. Other signs of messages came from their phones as well.
"...." Was the only thing the message said.
I deleted it and waited for the class to end, hoping it was bug in my phone.

Lunch time came faster than I thought. No one tried to talk to me, for now. I wonder if they were scared of me. When was the last time they talked to a girl without her running away because of their appearance?
The corridors were more crowded than when I walked to my other lessons; everyone pushed and shoved each other in order to make it outside and to the cafeteria before the brake was over.
The cafeteria was even worse than the hallways. Loud talking came from every direction, laughing and yelling. The noise of plates clattered all about the place, and the forks clanked against them. I was really lost. Bright florescent lights hanged around the room, no dark corner. I started to pace so I wouldn't appear as scared as I felt.
Can't believe Uncle made me do this without preparations.
I mentally rolled my eyes at the thoughts. A big line was in front of the food stands, making me to debate if I wanted to try and get in there.
I pulled my sunglasses from my bag and put it on. An instant relief came, and I almost sighed. My face was totally blank for the eyes of the people, now that they couldn't see my own. I shoved my hands down my jacket's pockets, waiting.
After quickly choosing the burger and some fries for my lunch, I searched with my eyes for a place to seat. I didn't want to be here. Maybe I could find somewhere else to eat. There was no open table anyway.
Luckily, my eyes landed on a familiar beanie. A smile formed on my face while I made my way towards it, ignoring the looks I got. "Yo, Caleb! What-up what-up! How are you doing on this fine after noon?" I frowned a bit. "Well, lunch." Caleb looked startled. Like a small kitten that got scared from a nearby sudden noise. Was I scaring him? Probably. And I'm pretty sure it's not for the fact I looked intimidating, because I wasn't. Maybe I should start thinking of a new way to greet my potential future friends.
I sat down, not waiting for his reply. Putting an elbow on the table, and my chin on top of my hand I ground. "Agh, first days sucks. How was your first day when you got here, Caleb?" He rubbed the back of his neck, "Ah... okay, I guess." I hummed. Was he acting shy because I was a girl, or because I was a stranger? Noting the fact that no one else sat with him, I guessed the latter.
The shy boy. I never met any in my former schools; they were all the same stuck up guys. Well, maybe not all of them.
Putting a fry in my mouth, I noticed the dining hall had stilled a bit, and now they were all staring.
Suddenly, the scrape of a chair moving sounded. "What the hell are you doing here? I didn't know we started accepting little girls," I didn't move from my current position to look around, only angled my face to the source of the voice.
I put another fry in my mouth. Did he really think I have the patience to start a fight with him?
"Hey!" Now there were no voices in the room, so the noise of the person's shoes echoed as he walked. "I'm talking to you, little girl," I lifted my head to look at him, keeping my face blank.
I sighed. I don't think if I stay quiet he'll go away. Standing up so he wouldn't feel so tall and powerful, I took my glasses off, folding them and putting them at table before returning my gaze to him. I shoved my hands in my pockets, forming a little smile on my. "I didn't know this is how guys hit on girls these days," I tilted my head to the side. "Well, I guess you learn new things every day, huh?" The guy scowled at me, glaring at a group of boys who started to chuckle quietly.
They didn't stop, though. Was he one of those that thought he was the greatest guy on earth, who everybody hated? Perhaps I shouldn't make such assumptions. His glare hardened when it came back to me.
I felt a tug at my elbow, "R-Rhi..." Caleb didn't meet my gaze, trying to word out what he thought. "Yeah, Caleb?" A small smile reappeared on my face, and I tried not to look so happy.
He just called me Rhi! Could this be the start of my first real friendship?
"Maybe... M-maybe you should let it go, and i-ignore him... I mean he um... might leave you alone..." Is this proud-like feeling is what a mother will feel when her son started to talk for the first time?
"Shut the hell up, shit-face. No one asked for your opinion," I gave him a glare.
Oh no, he did not just called my first and only friend like that. Well... future friend. I hope.
"Yeah, and did someone asked for yours? Who the f*ck are you, anyway? Piss off before I'll throw a chair at your bloody face," And the cursing appeared. Angry Rhi is coming to the surface.
"Oh, Yeah? Like that?" Before I could even blink, he pulled a chair and shoved it behind him so hard that it tipped over. I looked down at it, faking a pained expression. "Aw... Come on. What did the poor chair do to deserve this form of abuse? This guy is mad, I tell you. Bloody evil, stay away from him." I said, turning away and taking a few more steps to another chair to sit, my bag in my hand.
"If you won't shut up and answer my goddamn question, the next thing that going to be bloody is your face." This guy doesn't know when to quit. And where the hell are the teachers, anyway? A look towards the food stands tells me the lunch ladies were already gone. Was my uncle serious? There isn't even any supervision, and he wonders why the students give him troubles?
However, this guy didn't scare me. Not because I was trained like a ninja- which I wasn't. Buy because I knew his type. Sure, the others weren't so build and tall and violent like he was.
Also, the fact that the room was filled with boys (that most of them hated him) didn't help him either. They might be trouble makers, but even they wouldn't let the guy hit a girl- that I'm sure of.
"Honey honey," I shook my head at him. "First, you ask me out.-Then we can begin talking about making each other's faces bloody." I caught some curious looks. If they were somehow impressed from me, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to get punched in the face, since it would make my mission a lot easier if they respected me.
Well, that was what I thought until I felt a sudden pain on my temple, and I had the pleaser of meeting the floor close hand.
I let a low moan, and then an angry groan. Noises of chair falling and moving and yelling went passed my head as I got up.
"Alright, that's it! Don't say I didn't f*cking warn you!" I jumped forward. Lifting my hand, my fist made a contact with his stomach. For a second, I didn't pull back, and he froze. It was so quiet I was sure everyone could hear my heart thudding fast as the adrenaline formed in my body. Then, I released him- and the boy fell to his knees with a big bang.
The proud feeling didn't last long, since not two seconds passed and the doors opened to reveal my uncle.
Great.

"So you punched one of them?" Uncle Bart asked as we took seats in his office.
"I didn't mean to, Okay? That guy punched me, and I was already riled up. I really tried to keep calm." I told him in a defensible tone. He raised a brow at me, crossing his hands. "You do know that now these boys might think ill of you," His words made me frown.
"What are you talking about? I just stood up to one of the most hateful guys in this school. They are probably building me a temple or something," He let out a chuckle.
"Okay, so maybe they're not going to praise me, but I did show them I have guts." Uncle shook his head, "No, you showed them you are not trust worthy." he said.
Not trust worthy... What is he on about? I voiced my thoughts.
"You punched him because he punched you, which makes them think if you'll do something stupid out of anger. You're a girl; if you pick up a fight with one of them, whose side do you think the teachers will be on?" Well, I really do stupid things when I'm angry. Also, he did have a point, even though I knew I wouldn't do it.
I shook my head. "Then what am I supposed to do? Be cute and wear pretty pink-Salomon skirt?" My words were apparently funny, since he burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes, an unamused expression on my face.
"That was very specific, but no. I want you to try and show them that they want to be your friends, and its fun being around you." Uncle explained.
"Friends? But..." I gave him a puzzled look. I could barely make one friend, how was I meant to be friends with most of the school, if not all?
"Don't worry, Rhi. I know you can think about something. Try to show them what they'll earn from being your friend." I scowled, "Yeah, though you said not to tell them I live with a wealthy aunt." Uncle shook his head. The bell rang in the background, singling that lunch was over.
And I didn't even get to eat.
"I still don't want you to. I didn't mean to buy them things, I meant you need to do something for them.-that is the only way they'll agree to learn some manners." I nodded, even though I didn't have any idea what could I possibly do for any of them.
However, I had to try.
"Well, I guess you can leave now." I raised a brow at him.
"No punishment? Again?" Now was his turn to roll his eyes. "Go before I kick your ass out of this school, and give this pass to the teacher." I chuckled and stood up, "Yeah yeah, whatever you say."
He turned his gaze towards the computer and I exited the room.
When I turned around, I bumped into a figure. "Oh, sorry." I said and looked up. A tall man glared at me. He looked about the same age as the guy I met earlier, and was dressed in the same style.
"My my, it seems the teachers weren't lying about the new student who was in fact- a girl. How did you get in Woodblock, anyway?" I decided that I won't have any favorite teacher in this school. I love it already.
"Like everyone, I applied and got accepted, Sir. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get to class." Stepping around him to do as I said, I was stop short by a hand on my forearm.
"Of course, but I want you to know that I don't care I you're a girl," He moved forward until I could feel his breath on my neck. A chill went down my spine, and I felt my heart beat faster the usual. I didn't like this. I tried to take another step away from him, but his grip tightened. "and if you even think I let you be a distraction to the boys or change anything here, you might as well leave." Finally, he let go and take a step back. All I wanted to do was to sprint from there. Although, I didn't.
"I warned you, girl. Get in my way and you'll be in trouble." Then, he walked away. He opened a door and entered an office a bit smaller than my uncle's.
"Vice-principal
Mr. Hobson"
I hummed, narrowing my eyes at the door. The Vice principal looked like a man I'll have to watch out from.
Because I had a feeling this threat wasn't meant just to scare me.
