"I'm not happy about this." I crossed my arms.

"Oh well, here." She passed me a towel for my hair. I wrapped it up and felt a pain where I'm assuming the cut is.

"E, you don't have to stay."

"Your girlfriend is pretty adim-."

"She isn't my girlfriend. She's my ex."

"Hum." She nodded.

"Don't."

"Sorry, ghosting me didn't go as planned."

"Shut up." I sighed.

"I need to talk to you about something."

"Not right now, E." I mumbled, sitting on my bed.

"No, I need to ask you a favour."

"What?" I sighed.

"I..." she let out a breath and looked away from me.

"Forget it, get some sleep, and I'll wake you in 20 minutes."

"Fine." I need to brush my hair. "Thanks," I mumbled as she passed me my brush. The first thing I did was touch the wound. Fuck.

"Here, let me." She took the brush and sat behind me on the bed, She slowly brushed my hair, and I almost fell to sleep. When she was done, I let myself fall sideways, so I had my head on my pillow. "Goodnight, Vivian."

"Night Emma," I said, and she eyed me up for a second and left, keeping the door ajar. I didn't think I'd get to sleep, but with what felt like seconds passed before I was being awakened. "It hasn't been 20 minutes?"

"To the second, open your eyes." I sighed and looked up at her.

"Can I go back to sleep now, ma'am?" She rolled her eyes.

"Good night, child." I rolled my eyes in the darkness, and she left the room again, leaving the door ajar.

I took in a deep breath, like the ones you see them take on movies when they're drowning. I looked around, and again I was in a castle, except this time I knew it was a dream. I looked around the room and sighed. I do not feel well enough to deal with this. I'll just close my eyes be ignore it; it's just a dream.

A blood-curdling scream made me open my eyes; the room was now shades of deep red. I looked around and saw E standing in front of a alter. "I told you I needed to tell you something, and you wouldn't listen." She said. I walked over to her and saw blood pooling in her eyes.

"E? Your ok this is a dream."

"I needed your help, love. But you chose her." Suddenly the woman on the altar looked like Jade. She was holding a sword covered in blood.

"E, what happened?" I asked.

"Nothing that concerns you now. I made up my mind. You can stay with her and be happy ok?" I looked back at the aulter, and the girl was now just a dark ghost-like figure.

"No, E I... I still care about you." I mumbled.

"Trust me; I care about you. But look." She gestured for me to look behind me, so I turned, and a video of Jade and me was playing. She was laughing and wiping the whipped cream off her lip with her thumb. On instinct, she put her finger in her mouth, I smiled, and my stomach flipped.

"I made a discovery." She said, taking the last spoonful of ice cream.

"What kind?" I asked, folding my legs, trying to ignore whatever odd feelings were going on in the pit of my stomach.

"You know how when you look at boys, and you get tingles." I pretended to go along with it, so I nodded. "I get that with girls. And I was looking on the internet, and it's actually a thing."

"What do you mean?" I needed to know more. Every girl in my grade had boyfriends and crushes, not me.

"It's calling being a lesbian. It means wanting to kiss girls instead of boys..."

"But they can't get married, can they?" I asked.

"In Canada, they can, so I'm going to move there when I get older..." she kicked her feet lightly, and I looked away from the screen. "Would you come with me?"

"To Canada?" I asked. Everything went black.

"Vivian." I jumped awake breathing heavy.
