I didn't plan to get drunk. But by 11 o'clock, the room was spinning, and E had her arms around me to keep me from falling as I giggled. She looked down at me, and I leaned up, kissing her. "You taste like a liquor store." She said.
"You mixed my drink."
"I mixed one; Cece mixed the others." I laughed and looked up at her.
"I'm very annoyed you won't have sex with me," I said, and she shushed me.
"Be good." She said. I hooked my finger in her belt loop, and she shook her head with a smile on her face. She took a sip from her cup, and I stared up at her; she swallowed and raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"You're out of my league." I hiccuped.
"You're drunk." She kissed my head sitting on the couch, and I sat on her lap; she wrapped her arms around my waist and kissed the back of my neck, making me shiver. I leaned back on her, and she kissed my shoulder; I looked up and saw Joy talking to someone and glancing over at us.
"Dance with me!" Cece yelled, running over to me, and she grabbed my hand. She pulled me up, and I laughed, putting my arms around her neck as hers fell to my hip. I looked over her shoulder, and E was watching us closely. "I hooked up with someone," Cece said in my ear.
"Who and when?"
"Last night." I followed her gaze.
"No." I whispered.
"Yep." She laughed. "She wasn't half bad." I shook my head. "How's E?"
"The best I ever had," I said, and E's head shot up.
"She's hot." Cece sighed.
"She is."
"I was surprised Joy was so good."
"Why?" I asked.
"Could I steal her for a dance?" E said, and Cece nodded, going to Joy. "Did you tell her we had sex?"
"I just said you were the best I ever had." She smiled. She leaned down, kissing me. I smiled and kissed back harder. I had another drink, then another; at some point, the night became a blur.
I woke to light in my eyes and my stomach turning. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom, throwing up. "Vivian?" I heard than; before I could speak, I felt her hand on my back.
"Go- away." I coughed.
"Here." She passed me a wet rag.
"Get out," I said, leaning over the toilet again, throwing up.
"I've seen worst." She rubbed my back, and I wanted to cry. After a few minutes, she helped me back in her bed and laid a bucket beside it. "Try to sleep." She kissed my head, and I closed my eyes tightly, I felt the cold rag on my head, and I sighed. "I get you some-" water. "Water." She nodded, leaving the room. With ice. "With ice." What the hell happened last night? "Nothing to be embarrassed about." She said, back into the room, and I looked up at the glass of water. I took it and slowly sipped it, she looked down at me for a second, and I sighed.
"I feel like crap."
"I tried to warn you."
"Ya," I mumbled. "I can imagine the state Cece is in this morning."
"She- is a lot worse than you." She almost smiled.
"You don't like her," I said, closing my eyes.
"I never said that." She shrugged. "I'm going for a walk and grabbing some food."
"Hey, no, get back here," I called as she walked through the door. "Why don't you like her?" I asked.
"I haven't said that; she fine."
"E." She eyed me up. "Emma. Spill it."
"Her soul is the one you cheated on me with." I felt sick again.
"She's my best friend- I love her, but I can't even imagine..."
"It's fine. I'll be back."
