Trey don't know what the fuck kinda deal he made with the devil, but this nigga Zay done popped up again.
It's damn near midnight, and Trey sittin' in his car outside his crib, tryna enjoy a blunt in peace. Music low, seat reclined-he chillin'. Just needed a lil' time to unwind before headin' inside.
Then his phone vibrate.
Zay: Ayo, open yo' passenger door.
Trey frown.
Trey: Nigga, what?
Zay: Look to ya left.
Trey slowly turn his head, and lo and behold-this nigga Zay standin' outside his car like he manifested himself there. Hands in his pockets, hoodie up, smirkin' like he been waitin' all night.
Trey sigh, shakin' his head as he crack the window. "Nigga, what the fuck is you doin' here?"
Zay shrug. "Felt like takin' a walk."
Trey give him a dry ass look. "A walk... that just so happened to end up at my car?"
Zay smirk. "Guess my feet got GPS."
Trey rub his temple, already tired. "Nigga, go home."
Zay lean on the door. "I will... after you pass that."
Trey squint at him. "Nigga, do you even got a home?"
Zay chuckle. "Why? You tryna take me in?"
Trey side-eye him, then sigh before unlockin' the door. "'Bout to take yo ass to a shelter, that's what the fuck I'ma do."
Zay laugh as he slide in, closin' the door behind him. He lean back, gettin' comfortable like he live there. "Damn, big Zo, I can't believe you really care 'bout me like this."
Trey hand him the blunt, shakin' his head. "Shut yo' ass up."
Zay take a slow pull, exhalin' through his nose. "Mm. Good shit." He glance at Trey. "This a lil' intimate though. Just me and you, hotboxin' at midnight. You tryna set the mood?"
Trey glare. "Nigga, shut the fuck up."
Zay laugh, takin' another hit. "Aight, aight. But nah, real shit-what you do for fun?"
Trey frown. "Nigga, what?"
Zay nod toward him. "You always movin' like you got business to handle. You don't got no hobbies? No shit you actually enjoy?"
Trey pause, rollin' his jaw. "...I don't know, nigga. I just be chillin'."
Zay hums. "Yeah. See, that's why I be botherin' you."
Trey frown. "Nigga, what?"
Zay smirk. "You need some excitement in yo' life. You too serious."
Trey shake his head, takin' the blunt back. "Nigga, my life straight."
Zay lean closer, voice lower. "Yeah? But is it fun?"
Trey inhale deep, blow the smoke in Zay's face, makin' him cough. "Nigga, it was before you showed up."
Zay laugh, slappin' his chest. "Damn, that's how you feel?"
Trey don't say shit, just keep smokin'.
Zay watch him for a second, then stretch his arms behind his head. "Aight, I'ma let you rock. For now."
Trey exhale, lookin' straight ahead. "Bout fuckin' time."
But as the smoke swirl around 'em, sittin' in the thick silence of the night, Trey realize something.
...He ain't tell this nigga to leave yet.
