Trey been actin' weird all damn day.
He ain't answerin' no texts, ain't callin' nobody back, and every time his phone buzz, he just stare at it like he tryna make the shit disappear.
And it ain't just anybody blowin' up his phone.
It's Zay.
Nigga done texted three times already, and Trey been ignorin' every single one.
Zay: U still playin' dumb?
Zay: Aight bet.
Zay: I'm outside.
Trey damn near chokes on his own spit.
He jump up off the bed, stormin' to the window, and sure enough-Zay's outside, leanin' on his car, hood up, lookin' at his phone like he knew Trey was gon' check.
Trey huffs out a breath, runnin' a hand down his face. He knew this nigga wasn't finna just let it go. Zay don't do hints. He don't do avoidin' shit. If he want somethin', he gon' pull up till he get it.
And apparently, what he want right now?
Is Trey.
Trey snatches his hoodie off the chair, shovin' it on before stompin' out the room. He don't know what the fuck he finna say, but Zay got him all the way fucked up if he think Trey just gon' let him show up unannounced again.
He pull open the front door so hard it damn near comes off the hinges. "Nigga, what the fuck is wrong with you?"
Zay don't even flinch. "Took you long enough."
Trey steps outside, lettin' the door swing shut behind him. "Man, you really just gon' pull up again?"
Zay shrugs, eyes lazy but locked on Trey. "You wasn't answerin'."
"So you stalkin' me now?"
Zay licks his lips, smirkin'. "If I was stalkin' you, I woulda been at your window."
Trey clenches his jaw, tryna ignore the way his stomach flip at that. "Man, what you want?"
Zay pushes off the car, takin' a step closer. He shorter, but the way he carry himself? Ain't no difference. "I want you to stop playin'."
Trey folds his arms, brows low. "Ain't nobody playin'."
Zay tilts his head. "Oh yeah? So you wasn't feelin' that shit the other night?"
Trey don't answer.
Zay grins. "Mmhmm. Thought so."
Trey exhales sharp, eyes dartin' away for a second before lockin' back on Zay. "Bruh, I don't know what the fuck this is."
Zay takes another step, real casual-like, like he got all the time in the world. "It's simple. I like you. You like me. That's what the fuck this is."
Trey shakes his head. "You like me."
Zay chuckles, gettin' all up in Trey's space. "Nigga, you like me too."
Trey don't even realize he holdin' his breath till Zay reach up, fingers barely grazin' his chin. The shit send a shock straight through him, like he ain't supposed to feel that shit.
But he do.
And he don't back up.
Zay smirks. "You gon' keep lyin' or what?"
Trey swallows, tryna get his words right, but his mouth don't wanna work. His body knows, his hands know-they already twitchin' at his sides, fightin' the urge to grab onto somethin'.
To grab him.
Zay hums, lettin' his fingers slide off Trey's jaw. "Aight. I'll wait." He backs up slow, like he already won this shit. "But don't take too long, nigga. I ain't finna chase you."
Then he turn, headin' back to his car, leavin' Trey standin' there, heart beatin' too damn fast.
He don't know what the fuck just happened.
All he know is...
He don't want Zay to stop comin' back.
