This hug was brimming with the warmth of happiness.
Next. Dorian and Sophia came running over, diving into Thalassaâs arms.
Atticus ran over too, but he stood next to Thalassa, not vying for his momâs hug like his siblings.
Momâs back, and he was thrilled. He wanted to be closer to her and feel her embrace.
But he knew his siblings needed momâs hug more, so he stood aside understandingly, not fighting for it, just quietly observing.
Thalassa couldnât help but touch their soft little faces, easing the longing she felt all day. Her voice softened without her realizing it. âDid you have fun at kindergarten?â
Dorian raised his hand, the first to answer, âYeah, it was a blast.â
âMom, the teacher gave me a sticker today, look.â Elowen lifted her innocent little face, proudly showing off the flower sticker on her forehead to Thalassa.
Thalassa praised, âElowen, youâre awesome.â
âMom, I got one too. I got one too.â Sophia, not wanting to be left out, moved closer into Thalassaâs arms, pointing at her own flower sticker, her cheeks as red as apples.
âSophia, youâre great too.â Thalassa lovingly ruffled her hair.
âMom, I gave my red flower to a girl in our class named Esther.â Dorian pouted slightly, looking expectantly at Thalassa, waiting for her question.
Thalassa asked on cue, âWhoâs Esther?â
Dorian immediately explained, âSheâs a cute girl in our class. I want to give her all my stickers. Is that okay, mom?â
Heâs not just friends with Atticus, Elowen, and Sophia anymore, he has other good friends. Turned out that wanting to be nice to someone meaned giving them the best stuff.
Dorian may be a boy, but heâs pretty. Especially those big, grape-like eyes. Even at a young age, they were very expressive and charming.
Everything he did was like a little TV star, strikingly handsome.
Hearing him say this, Thalassa was delighted. The kids were having fun with their friends.
She nodded. âOf course, as long as the other kids like your flower stickers.â
âYep, she really likes it. She even let me put it on her forehead.â Dorian nodded enthusiastically.
âThen itâs fine.â Thalassa said.
At this moment, Thalassa looked up and saw Atticus standing aside, watching their interaction but not joining in.
His little face looked serious, and his innocent eyebrows furrowed. He wanted to dive into momâs arms like his siblings, but he didnât want to seem childish. He looked conflicted.
Seeing this. Thalassa stood up, put her arm around his shoulder, pulled him to her side, and gently asked, âAtticus, did anything fun happen at kindergarten today? Want to share with mom?â
Atticus shook his head. âNo, mom. Kindergarten is too childish.â
Thalassa paused, looking at Atticusâs innocent face, showing maturity beyond his years. His features were handsome yet aloof.
He not only looked like his father but also acted like him.
Their personalities were so alike.
Thalassa felt nervous. If Lysander saw Atticus, heâd definitely be suspicious. Once he started investigating, her secret would be exposed.
The thought scared her.
Atticusâs aloof personality was totally inherited from Lysander!
But heâs just a kid.
Thalassa felt sorry for Atticus, so young yet unable to enjoy the joy of childhood.
