Chapter 195 You Bastard!
Yvette met Lanceâs deep, dark eyes and clenched her fists. Her voice was so soft that it sounded like she was pleading. âLance, are you sure you want to make things so difficult for me? You know that I donât have that much money.â
Lance could have easily cut off all ties with Yvette.
But he had to string Yvette along.
Lance felt stuffy, and his wound seemed to have opened up.
His eyes were cold and gloomy, and he said through clenched teeth, âYou can sell yourself if you donât have that much money until you pay the debt!â
Lance was really angered by Yvette.
He originally thought that they would be able to get closer this time, but he didnât expect them to get further and further away.
From the beginning to the end, Yvette spared no effort to show that she did not want to get involved with Lance.
If not for the fact that Lance couldnât move, he really wanted to press Yvette down and have her.
It was only when they had sex that Yvette would be obedient.
Lanceâs cruel words were the last straw for Yvette.
She held back her tears and gritted her teeth. âLance, do you enjoy making fun of me? I will stab myself and we will call it even!â
As if she had gone crazy, Yvette grabbed the fruit knife on the nightstand and stabbed it into her chest!
âStop!â
Lanceâs eyes were cold, but he suddenly raised his arm to grab Yvetteâs wrist and flung the knife awayâ¦.
âClank!â
The fruit knife fell to the ground.
Yvette was also dragged down by Lance, and her upper body fell on the bed, pressing on his leg.
Lance frowned and took a deep breath as he bore the pain. âThis is like stabbing me again!â
Yvetteâs back was pressed tightly by him, and her whole face was buried in the snow-white quilt.
Yvette did not answer Lanceâs question, but her shoulders trembled violently, showing that she was very emotional.
Lance looked askance at Yvette, and his voice was too low to show any feelings. âYou hate me so much, so why donât I give you my life?â
What Lance wanted to say was, âI will give my life to you in exchange for your forgiveness. Is that okay?â
However, how could Lance say what he really meant at a moment like this?
Yvette did not even want to look at Lance.
Yvette felt that she was about to go insane. Since then, she would not put up with it any longer!
She raised her head to meet Lanceâs eyes and said word by word, âYou are already engaged, and you still want me to stay here. What will others think of me?â
Lance was stunned and loosened his grip slightly.
Yvette looked at him and said in a loud voice, âLance, I am not ungrateful. I came to see you yesterday, but the bodyguards at your door did not let me in.
âI waited for hours, but your father just told me not to see you again because I will only annoy you.
âHe asked me if I came because I wanted to be your mistress!
âIn that case, I will give you the exact answer that I gave him yesterday.
âI will never be a mistress or a homewrecker!â
After saying this, Yvette couldnât help it anymore.
She broke down in tears.
Yvette was so choked up that she couldnât control herself. âLance, I have always been grateful to you for saving me, but you are now engaged, and I have already made my stand. So, can you please just let me go?â
Lance looked at the tears coming out of her clear and bright eyes, and his heart trembled fiercely as if he was traumatized.
His heart ached even more.
Lance reached out and pulled Yvette to sit down. After wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes, he said.
seriously, âYvette, I never thought that way. Really.â
Lance gently held Yvetteâs hand, not letting her break free.
âI spoke without thinking just because I feel that you donât care about me at all. I was so upset. I apologize to you. As for what my father said, I had no idea at all. Donât worry. I wonât let anyone accuse you again.â
Yvette still felt like crying, and the tears rolled down her dried face again.
Being wronged over and over again made her speechless. Yvette didnât know who to tell, and she was about to freak out.
Yvette didnât want to embarrass herself too much. She lowered her head and said, âSince you know it now, let me go. I still care about you. After I go back, Iâll pray for you every day. I will pray for you so hard that the universe will let you live until you are 100 years old. Deal?â
Lance felt sorry for her and was in the meantime amused. âItâs not like Iâm dying.â
Yvette suddenly raised her head and glared at him, her small face full of anger. âWhat nonsense are you talking about?â
Her nervousness made Lanceâs eyes light up.
Lance tightened his grip on Yvetteâs hand and said, âIf you want to, just stay by my side. Itâs not that I donât have anyone to take care of me, but with you around, I will recover even faster.â
âNo.â Yvette turned her face away.
âIf you could understand, you wouldnât have made such a request. I donât want to be pointed at and called a mistress.â
âYou are not a mistress.â
Lance turned Yvetteâs face at him and said seriously, âI am not engaged. My father thinks that I am, but I have already made it clear to the Pruitt family!â
Yvette opened her eyes wide and had indescribable feelings.
She thought, heâs not engaged?
They are not engaged!
So this was all staged by Colton, who also lied to me.
However, the next second, Yvette remembered the thing about the tent and felt uncomfortable again.
She looked at Lance coldly and asked, âSo you are gonna dump Ms. Pruitt after you slept with her?â
âWhat are you talking about?â Lance frowned.
Yvette was annoyed by Lanceâs indifference.
She fiercely shook off Lanceâs hand and glared at him, saying word by word, âYou bastard!â
